Definitions
- the invention relates to a module according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Modules such as terminal blocks are known in various designs. In the area automation technology are more and more terminal-like Module disks are used, which are snapped onto a gateway. These module disks are basically modular terminal modifications that are on a mounting rail too an electrical device. One of these, made of modular disks or modular terminal elements assembled electrical device is from the EP 95 113 730 A1 known. In the device shown in this document with an internal Bus conductors are used for connection blocks that can be arranged on mounting rails for signal adaptation between a higher-level fieldbus and connected to the connection blocks Initiators, field devices or the like.
- connection blocks are made of different functions Connection or module disks (terminal blocks) assembled, whereby between protective conductor washers, feed washers, supply / signal conductor washers and locking foot washers is distinguished.
- One or more connection blocks are via the internal bus conductor with a connection module for one Fieldbus connectable.
- Modules strung together such as terminal blocks or modular disks without a housing that spans them Do not accidentally drift apart on a mounting rail (e.g. as a result of shaking movements a machine), it is necessary to connect the module disks with suitable coupling elements to couple to each other. Because of the typical space at the installation location, it is particularly problematic if the terminal block has no space for operating the Coupling element offers.
- the invention starts with the task of a generic To design the module of at least one of the pairs of interacting coupling elements in such a way that the modules can be removed from the adjacent terminal without an operating tool can be solved. Of course, it should continue to be ensured that these terminal blocks can not be easily separated from each other.
- the invention solves this problem by the subject matter of claim 1 than in the prior art, there are two adjacent modules / terminal blocks the mounting rail only by removing the parallelism, for example by twisting the modules can be detached from each other. This makes the modules possible without detaching each tool, for example also in such a way that the release of two modules lined up by actuating one Module at an actuation point spaced from the coupling element.
- the first coupling element is preferably a latching hook and the second coupling element a locking opening corresponding to the locking hook, these elements being such interlock that the locking hook alone by twisting the locked together Terminal blocks is released from the locking opening.
- FIG. 1 shows basic terminal supports 2 for terminal blocks or modules or module disks, which with further module disks and / or module blocks on one Carrier rail 3 can be assembled into a terminal block of variable length.
- the Basic terminal support 2 is provided with plastic locking feet 4 (see Fig. 2), with which can produce a snap-in connection to the mounting rail 3 in a manner known per se is.
- the base clamp support 2 has a lower base section 6; which is in an area above the mounting rail feet 4 and next to the mounting rail feet 4 extends laterally on both sides beyond the mounting rail 3.
- the basic terminal support 2 bus conductor opening penetrating perpendicular to its main extension plane 8 provided for receiving the internal bus conductor section, the one Forwarding of the bus conductor signals from single module to single module and into an electronic circuit board (not shown here) allowed.
- a circumferential recess 12 is formed, which is delimited on the outside of the terminal block by a web 14.
- connection section 16 Approximately at the end of the base terminal support opposite the recess 12 2 is a protruding vertically upward on the base section 6 Connection section 16 formed, the six arranged in two rows of three Connections A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 is provided. Openings 18 with a square Cross section next to connection openings 32 for connections A1, A2, B1, B2 ... allow the insertion of a screwdriver to open the in the connection section arranged contact elements (not shown).
- the single and double connections A1, A2, B1, B2 are via (not shown here Busbars) in the base terminal support 2 with connections 20, which with the circuit board are connectable. Openings 22 are used to carry out an electrical conductive connection between the printed circuit board or a plug and cross jumper current leads (also not shown here) between adjacent base terminal supports 2nd
- each base terminal support 2 points to one of its two to be strung together Outside surfaces guide pin 24, which is from the base terminal support 2nd slightly taper away towards the top and essentially on the outer surfaces of the Stand the basic terminal support 2 vertically.
- These guide pins 24 are designed to when merging two adjacent base terminal supports 2 into recesses or to engage openings 26 of an adjacent base terminal support 2. They facilitate the merging of the basic terminal supports 2 and ensure that the base terminal supports 2 lie against each other in a defined position.
- a section 28 also serves to engage in a corresponding profile recess. It covers under other from the (not shown) cross-bridge busbar pieces from the Contacting correspondingly shaped socket elements on the outside A serve outside B of the adjacent terminal.
- additional coupling elements ensure that the the adjacent base terminal support 2 firmly snap together on the mounting rail 3 and cannot be pulled apart unintentionally.
- the first latching hook 30 is (see FIGS. 3-7) essentially perpendicular to the base terminal support 2 from. It is seated on a central wall 46 of the base terminal support 2 and extends as far into the recess 28 of the adjacent terminal or Neighbor base terminal support that he just the outer wall 48 of the adjacent terminal can reach behind.
- the fact that the locking hook head 34 on his from the base terminal support 2 has a guide tip 50 facing away from the axial end the locking hook 30 when merging the two adjacent base terminal supports inserted relatively easily into opening 38.
- the locking hook is released 30 through an opening 52 formed in the lower wall of the recess 12 with electronics removed from above with an operating tool (e.g. Screwdriver).
- this latching hook 30 and the associated opening 34 may be sufficient. already out to ensure the locking of the adjacent base terminal supports 2.
- the basic terminal supports 2 extend relatively far beyond the Edge of the mounting rail 3 also - if, for example, more than three connection levels have - a further locking hook connection is required.
- this snap hook connection should be in the area of connections A1, A2, B1, B2, ... lie. Since there are busbars under each of these connections, it is different from not possible in the area of the opening 52, an actuation of the locking hook 32 by to be realized with an operating tool at the top.
- the invention starts with the idea of one of the locking hooks 32 to be designed in such a way that it can be operated without an actuating tool from the adjacent terminal can be solved.
- this should continue to be ensured be that this locking hook 32 is not accidentally released from the adjacent terminal can be.
- the invention solves this problem in that the additional latching hook 32 is formed such that the latching hook 32 with the latching recess 40 Adjacent terminal or the neighboring base terminal support 2 cooperates in such a way that the adjacent base terminal support 2 on the mounting rail 3 by twisting apart the terminal blocks are detachable from each other.
- this twisting of the two base terminal supports 2 takes place in that the Side with the locking hook 32 opposite ends of the base terminal support 2 be pulled apart (the axis of rotation is perpendicular to the mounting rail axis; see the right area of Fig. 2).
- the locking hook 32 extends almost across the width of two side by side Basic terminal supports 2. As can be seen in FIG. 3, the latching hook 32 attaches a first outer wall 53a, crosses the base terminal support 2, occurs the opposite outside 53b from the base terminal support 2 and protrudes into the opening 40 of the adjacent base terminal support 2, and still approximately over the entire width of the neighboring base terminal support 2.
- the Locking hook 32 has two webs 54, 56, the cross section of which is essentially rectangular is, the wider sides of the rectangles each being substantially rectangular are aligned with each other. The two webs 54, 56 are relative to the mounting rail 3 angularly aligned, the pitch angle of the two webs 54, 56 relative to Carrier rail 3 is different in size.
- One of the webs - the web 56, which rises steeply relative to the mounting rail 3 - forms one Control and guide surface 58 for guiding the movement of the locking hook 32 when Immersion of the locking hook 32 in the opening 40 of the neighboring base terminal support 2.
- the control surface 58 contains a short, steep ramp 60 and one itself (in the direction of insertion) adjoining it, essentially parallel to the mounting rail 3 Section 62.
- the two webs 54, 56 are connected to one another in their end region via the latching hook head 36 connected.
- the latching hook head 36 is on its from the base terminal support 2 facing away from the outside with an insertion bevel 66 to a locking edge 44 of the neighboring base terminal support 2 can slide past.
- the locking hook head 36 has a vertical Locking edge 68, which is intended to actually engage behind the locking edge 44 to form the neighboring module or the neighboring base terminal support 2.
- Part of the locking edge 68 is designed as a backdrop 70 and forms an unlocking surface, which is inclined to the main plane or to the connecting surface of adjacent base terminal supports 2 and is inclined to the mounting rail 3.
- the base terminal support is on its side opposite the latching hook head 36 2 with the already mentioned opening 40 for receiving the locking and Detent hook 32 provided.
- the lower wall of the opening 40 is from the upper Walls of the webs 54, 56 formed.
- the locking edge 44 is on a wall 72 formed in the neighboring module, which preferably the recess 40 of the neighboring module limited at the top (of course, 180 ° or 90 ° are also conceivable axially rotated arrangements of the locking hook 32).
- the contour of the locking edge 44 is the Adjusted contour of the locking edge 68 together with the backdrop 70.
- the function of the locking hook 32 is as follows.
- the locking or coupling together of adjacent basic terminal supports 2 is done by pushing together the adjacent basic terminal supports 2 on the mounting rail 3, the latching and latching hook 32 of the insert Module with its underside on the upper control surface 58 of the locking hook 32 of the neighboring module slides into the recess of the neighboring module, thereby is raised to the locking position and rotates axially when sliding up, until the locking head 36 snaps / engages behind the locking edge 44 of the neighboring module.
- Unlocking is done by removing the parallelism of the neighboring modules or base terminal support to each other, wherein the surface inclined to the main plane of the Locking hook head 36 of the base terminal support 2 to be unlocked or of the module (after the further locking hook 30 has been released as already described) on the upper one Edge / backdrop of the recess 40 of the neighboring module slides, whereby the locking head 36 is lowered and the further pulling apart the neighboring Finally, modules after exceeding a limit load on the locking edge 44 of the neighboring module slides past, so that the rear grip is released.
- the unlocking is therefore essentially only by twisting apart of the two adjacent base terminal supports 2, slipping over a guide edge 71 the when the locking hook 32 is rotated into its original position he follows.
