Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a laminated packaging sheet, a type having a primary layer associated with a weldable layer between which is interposed, in at least one marked area, a layer of a permanent adhesive.
  • the invention furthermore relates to a package comprising a wall external boundary delimiting a dwelling provided with an access passage to said dwelling comprising such a packaging sheet.
  • Packagings comprising a packing sheet allowing a easy opening and reclosing are currently used, for example, for packaging food products.
  • the structure of such leaves is described in particular in the patent application FR-A-95-14117.
  • the laminated sheet used to allow the opening and the reclosing of the package comprises two layers of polymer between which a permanent adhesive layer is interposed.
  • One of layers, the so-called “weldable or weldable layer” is intended to be oriented towards the inside of the packaging. It is adapted to be welded on the edge device of a tray.
  • the other layer, called the “support layer”, is intended to form the outer face of the package, this layer being printed.
  • the welding layer tears on both sides of the welded region. After opening of the tray, there remains on the periphery of it a cord welded residual, consisting of the welded part of the welding layer.
  • the opening of the tray being obtained by breaking the layer it should be chosen so that it has rupture compatible with the conditions of use of the packaging.
  • the welding layer should be torn manually, without the need to exert too much traction force important on the packaging sheet.
  • the solder layers used are rather of reduced thickness.
  • the welding layer has good welding characteristics, to ensure reliable bonding of the wrapping sheet on the tray.
  • the layer must be welding is compatible with the permanent adhesive interposed between the two layers of the leaf. To satisfy this condition, it is advisable to choose a rather thick layer.
  • the object of the invention is to propose a packaging sheet enabling the opening and reopening of a package, the sealing layer of which may to be chosen in a wide range.
  • the subject of the invention is a laminated packaging sheet, as defined in claim 1.
  • the packaging sheet comprises one or more of the features defined in the dependent claims.
  • the invention furthermore relates to a package comprising a wall external boundary delimiting a housing provided with an access passage to said housing, characterized in that said passage is closed by a laminated sheet according to any one of the preceding claims, which sheet is welded on said outer wall at the periphery of the passage according to its weldable layer in a region delimited essentially between the weakening lines.
  • the package 10 shown in FIG. 1 consists of a container rectangular 12 and a flexible cover 14 shutting a passage access 16 inside the tray.
  • the tray 12 consists for example of a support layer outer material of suitable material, for example polyvinyl chloride coated on its inner surface a weldable layer, for example, in polyethylene.
  • the tray defines a receptacle 18 bordered on all its periphery by a flange 20 defining a flat surface for sealing the cover 14, as follows a straight weld 22.
  • the operculum 14 is laminated, that is to say made of several layers superimposed. For reasons of clarity, the thickness of the layers is exaggerated increased in the figures.
  • the lid 14 consists essentially of a support layer 24 and a weldable layer 26 with a layer of permanent adhesive 28 interposed in flat between them on the whole surface.
  • the support layer 24 advantageously comprises impressions on its outer face. It can also include a transparent layer carrying such laminated impressions on the outer surface of the diaper support through a layer of glue applied on its face printed.
  • the support layer 24 is, for example, a polyethylene layer 36 ⁇ m thick.
  • the permanent adhesive layer 28 is made by coating using an adhesive mass initially in solution, especially in dispersion aqueous. It can also be applied hot, in particular by extrusion.
  • a permanent adhesive commonly referred to as “hot melt” is particularly suitable for this application. to use Plastoflex 87.18 sold by the company Paramelt to Netherlands.
  • the thickness of the adhesive layer 28 is advantageously included between 10 and 30 microns and is in particular equal to about 20 microns.
  • the weldable layer 26 is for example a polyethylene layer or polypropylene whose thickness is between 20 and 60 ⁇ m, and is in particular advantageously equal to 40 ⁇ m. This layer is realized in a material allowing welding with the layer facing the tray 12.
  • the peripheral weld seam 22 extends on all four sides of the rim 20 of the rectangular tray. he ensures tight sealing of the tray. For the sake of clarity, the peripheral solder 22 has been greyed out in FIG.
  • the weldable layer 26 has two weakening lines 30A, 30B extending parallel to each other.
  • a welded rectilinear region 22A of the peripheral weld which extends along the length of a rim 20 of the tray is bordered by these two lines 30A, 30B.
  • the weakening lines 30A, 30B each consist of a pre-cut line formed by a groove or continuous groove opening on the face of the weldable layer which is oriented towards the tray, as well as that this is shown in Figure 2.
  • the depth of the groove is between 25 and 100% of the thickness of the weldable layer 26. It is preferably substantially equal to 50% of the thickness of the weldable layer.
  • the welded region 22A advantageously extends over the entire width noted i of the band delimited by the weakening lines 30A and 30B.
  • the width i is such that the weakening lines are outside from the welded region 22A.
  • the weakening lines 30A and 30B are advantageously produced in the weldable layer while the wrapping sheets are still assembled to form a continuous band adjacent packing sheets.
  • the weakening lines 30A, 30B are arranged along the machine direction, that is to say the direction of circulation of the band formed from the adjacent leaves. These lines extend so parallel to the longitudinal edge of the strip.
  • the weakening lines 30A, 30B consist of continuous grooves are performed before placing the sheet forming the lid on the tray. They are for example made by cutting continuously to using a laser beam when scrolling the tape. In a variant, the lines weakening are performed by knife cutting. In this last solution, during the circulation of the band, rotating rotary organs are brought into contact with the free surface of the weldable layer 26, in order to cut it down to a determined depth corresponding to the desired depth for the grooves 30A, 30B.
  • the peripheral weld 22 is obtained by heat sealing. During the welding, the weldable inner layer of the tray and the weldable layer 26 of the packing sheet melt together, to obtain, after cooling, a very reliable weld.
  • the weldable layer 26 breaks easily along the weakening lines 30A, 30B.
  • the presence of the permanent adhesive 28 on a welded bead and / or the surface facing the support layer 24 allows the subsequent closing of the package by repositioning the lid 14.
  • weakening lines 30A, 30B promotes the opening of the tray by pulling on the lid 14.
  • the depth of the grooves forming the lines of weakness it is possible to determine the depth of the grooves forming the lines of weakness so that they allow a manual tearing of the weldable layer 26 by simply pulling on the operculum 14.
  • the characteristics of the weldable layer 26 can be determined depending on the constraints related to welding, compatibility with the permanent adhesive or any other constraint related to the protection of packaged products without the need to take into account the characteristics tearing necessary to open the package. Indeed, the tearing ability of the weldable layer 26 is determined by the nature of weakening lines.
  • FIG. 4 shows an alternative embodiment of a tray according to the invention.
  • the weakening lines 30A and 30B are separated by an interval l greater than the width, denoted i, of the welds 42 practiced along the other three sides of the tray.
  • the fourth sold, noted 44, of the lid on the tray is carried out according to any the extent delimited between the weakening lines 30A and 30B. So, the weld 44 has a greater width, and in particular advantageously included between double and quadruple the thickness of other welds 42.
  • the lack of line of weakness along the welds on the parallel edges adjacent to the edge bearing the welded region 22A or 42 delimited by such weakening lines is without influence on the ease of opening. Indeed, if the traction applied on the lid is exerted from welded region 22A or 42, after rupture of layer 26 along the lines 30A and 30B, the subsequent traction takes place parallel to the direction of the weld. It therefore causes the rupture of adjacent welds by propagation of a tearing zone according to the length of these welds. The tearing is done without excessive difficulty whatever the nature of the weldable layer since at a given moment all constraints are applied at the same point of the layer and are not distributed along the entire length of the weld.
  • FIG. 5 shows a variant embodiment of a sheet packaging according to the invention welded on the edge of a tray, noted 52.
  • the weldable layer 26 comprises both sides of the weld 22 two weakening lines 56A, 56B and 58A, 58B.
  • the weakening lines are constituted by continuous grooves leading to the permanent adhesive layer 28.
  • the package shown in Figures 6 and 7 forms a packaging bag.
  • This consists of a packaging sheet according to the invention folded on itself welded laterally on both sides and both ends are joined to each other by welding, with overlap. More precisely, a weld 100 is made between the free surface of the support sheet 24 and the free surface facing the weldable layer 26.
  • the sealing of the bag is of the leather against flesh type.
  • the welding is carried out between weakening lines 30A, 30B formed initially in the sheet on both sides of the region to be welded.
  • the weakening lines are formed next the machine direction, that is to say the direction of unwinding of the strip on the machine of manufacture of the sachets.
  • This direction of flow also corresponds in the direction of travel of the band during the manufacture of the bags.
  • weldable layer 26 can be chosen with characteristics suitable for the type of packaging desired, irrespective of its breaking characteristics. Indeed, the presence of weakening lines allows, whatever the characteristics of the layer, to ensure that it can be torn manually along the lines of weakening.
  • the permanent adhesive extends over the entire surface of the weldable layer.
  • the permanent adhesive may be placed between the support layer 24 and the weldable layer 26 that in marked areas, the sealing weld packaging is then performed in at least one of these areas marked with permanent adhesive between lines of weakness previously arranged.
  • the sheet may be manufactured by rolling and against gluing. It can also be manufactured by co-extension superimposed layers.
