Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for operating a Sprinkler system in a freezer, with one from a supply line supplied sprinkler pipe network with numerous Sprinklers, in which the sprinkler pipe network from one in the Supply line contained extinguishing valve up to the closed Sprinklers with a dry inert gas such as nitrogen, helium or the like, is filled from a compressed gas supply, the extinguishing valve in the event of opening the supply of liquid Extinguishing medium in the supply line.
- a dry inert gas such as nitrogen, helium or the like
- Sprinkler systems of this type are used for protection used by large freezer stores, the sprinkler pipe network connected to a compressed gas extinguishing agent container and is initially filled with inert gas.
- Cooling brine used as an extinguishing agent Cooling brine used.
- a disadvantage of the known system in that e.g. in the event of damage to a sprinkler in the pipe network located inert gas flows out and then the pipe network is flooded with the cooling brine. To the plant after the repair of the damaged sprinkler back into the operating state to bring, the entire pipe network must be emptied, rinsed and be neutralized. Only then can the pipe network work again be filled with the inert gas.
- the pipe network is flooded and because no sprinkler has yet been opened extinguishing water comes to a standstill and freezes in the pipe network. This extinguishes the extinguishing system. As a result, the cold store pipe network must be emptied and heated, thus thawing the frozen fire water and the pipe network can be emptied. Such a business interruption causes high failure costs for the operator of a cold store.
- the invention has for its object a stationary automatic Sprinkler fire extinguishing system for the protection of deep-freeze houses to create that with water as an extinguishing agent with a required Security level can be operated.
- the Sprinkler pipe network is designed in such a cross-section that the extinguishing water at high speeds of 7.5 to 10 m / s flows through the pipe network. At these pouring speeds cannot freeze the extinguishing water in the sprinkler pipe network.

- the lower sprinkler line 7a is at one end with a vent valve 36 Mistake.
- For quick ventilation of the sprinkler pipe network 94 are both in the upper sprinkler line 7b and in the Sprinkler line 5 each installed quick exhaust 37.
- the bypasses serve as pressure compensation or expansion paths for the dry nitrogen.
- valve stations 11 and 12 are of the same type.
- the valve station 11 is described according to Figure 2 and consists of the following Divide.
- the extinguishing valve 39 is provided, to which the feed line 10 to the sprinkler line 5 connects.
- the extinguishing valve 39 has one quick opening flap 45 mounted in a joint 46, which is locked by a quick release 47.
- the shut-off valve 21 is open in the normal operating state, so that the Pressure of the extinguishing water from below against the quick opening flap 45 presses.
- the sprinkler pipe network 94 is from the quick opening flap 45 to the closed sprinklers 4 and 6 with filled with a compressed gas, advantageously with nitrogen. The compressed gas is located above the quick opening flap 45. At the same time, the valve is pressed over the compressed gas pneumatic interlock locked.
- the sprinkler pipe network 94 is supplied by the compressed gas supply 41 the gas line 48, the gas line 50 with one-way throttle 51, the gas line 52 with one-way throttle 53, and the gas lines 54 and 55 filled with the compressed gas. Furthermore, it is a closed one Pressurized gas circuit 43 formed from the connecting line 58 and the gas lines 52 and 54.
