Definitions
- the invention relates to a housing for an electrical connection point, in particular a base housing for inserting a relay or a Connector housing, with a first housing part and one with the first Lockable housing part second housing part, the at least one Has contact part chamber for a contact part.
- a housing of the type mentioned is used in particular when the contact part inserted into the contact part chamber through the interlocking of the two housing parts can be fixed in the housing should.
- the housing parts are either separated or already pre-assembled, i.e. already stuck together, but not finally locked together, delivered to the assembly site, on which the contact part is inserted into the contact part chamber and that Housing is then finally locked.
- This often occurs Problem on that with pre-assembled or pre-locked housing parts this by jerky movements during transport, by falling or inadvertently due to improper handling are finally locked together before the contact part in the Contact part chamber is introduced.
- this makes the often automated Assembly process disrupted, on the other hand, the housing must the final assembly first unlocked and after inserting the Contact part are locked again with each other, whereby the Assembly process is disrupted.
- the invention solves the problem by a housing with the features according to claim 1, and in particular in that on the second housing part a locking element is provided by the contact part of a Locked position in which the locking element locks the two housing parts prevented by a support on the first housing part, in a the release position enabling the locking is movable.
- this usually prevents Locking position locking element an unintentional with each other Lock the two housing parts by itself during the locking movement supported on the first housing part and thus the final Locking movement blocked between the two housing parts.
- Locking element by inserting the contact part into the contact part chamber moved from its locked position to its release position, in the the two housing parts can be locked together. Because an unintentional Locking of the pre-assembled housing parts effectively avoided is the process reliability by the housing according to the invention of the assembly process increased.
- a particularly effective locking action of the locking element can be achieve when the locking element transversely to the locking direction of the two housing parts between the locked position and the release position is movable so that the locking element when it is in the locking position is clamped between the two housing parts.
- the locking element is preferably in one piece with the second housing part trained and elastic at least in sections.
- the one-piece Training the locking element is the one hand, the manufacture and final assembly of the housing simplified, on the other hand, the strength of the housing is not impaired, but with appropriate Design of the locking element additionally increased.
- the locking element is additionally achieved that the locking element moved back to its locked position when the two housing parts after proper assembly again must be unlocked from each other, so that the locking element after a required disassembly is ready for use again and when it is renewed Assembling the case with one another unintentionally Locking the housing part is prevented.
- the locking element has a blocking section, which is followed by a run-on slope, with which the contact part when inserted into the contact part chamber comes into contact.
- the locking element is at least partially a forms the side walls of the contact part chamber, which makes a corresponding space-saving design of the housing becomes possible.
- a recess is provided on the first housing part in which the locking element is insertable when it through the contact part in his Release position is moved. This causes the locking element to be very simple way from the area between the two to each other to the plant coming sections of the two housing parts moved so that Housing parts can be locked together.
- Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of an approximately cube-shaped outer housing 10 one in its final installation position as a connection point for a six-pole relay (not shown) serving base housing.
- the outer housing 10 has in its left in Fig. 1 Side surface of a receptacle 12 for an inner housing shown in Fig. 3 14 of the base housing.
- the stepped receptacle 12 is complementary to the section to be accommodated in the outer housing 12 of the inner housing 14 and has two on them in FIG. 1 vertically extending inner surfaces 16, of which due to the Perspective view in Fig. 1 to see only the left inner surface 16 is a vertically extending paragraph 18.

- Second locking lug 20 formed one at each Inner surface 16 formed near the opening edge of the receptacle 12 Locking opening 22 and 24 is aligned.
- a base 26 is formed on the underside of the outer housing 10, the purpose of which will be explained later. At the base 26 one in Rectangular recess running in the direction of the side surface shown on the left 28 on, which opens the receptacle 12 towards the bottom. To both Sides of the rectangular recess 28 is on the underside of the outer housing 10 each have a rectangular through opening 30 and 32 respectively. Each through opening 30 and 32 is aligned with one at the Top 34 of the outer housing 10 formed slot-shaped recess 36 and 38, which serve as an inlet opening for a plug pin of the Relay is used.
- a stepped recess 40 on the top 34 of the outer housing 10 is formed between the slit-shaped Recesses 36 and 38 .
- a section 42 also serves here the stepped recess 40 in the fully assembled base housing as Connector opening for a connector pin of the relay.
- Adjacent to the section 42 of the stepped recess 40 is a recess 44 of rectangular shape is provided, which merges into the stepped recess 40 and the purpose of which will be explained later.
- a rectangular latching opening adjoins the stepped recess 40 46 on, which with the section 42 of the stepped recess 40th flees.
- There is one on each side of the rectangular latch opening 46 Contact part chamber 48 or 50 formed, which extends from the top 32 extends to the lower side surface of the outer housing 10 and which as Recording for a contact part of the base housing is used.
- a further contact part chamber 52 formed, which also extends through the outer housing 10 and serves to accommodate a contact part.
