- the size of the application chamber and others the amount of application medium supplied per unit of time in to a lesser extent against the inclination of the two doctor devices the underground.
- a disadvantage of this arrangement is that a Change in the influence of one of the two control devices on the Doctor bed always to influence the employment of each another squeegee leads against the running surface, so that Line weight and overflow quantity not set independently can be.
- the object of the present invention is an application device of the generic type indicate which it while maintaining the possibility of independently influencing the employment of allows two squeegees against the running surface, in defined volume or / and pressure ratios to the application chamber receive.
- the essentially rigid support unit allows the two Attach squeegee devices to it in such a way that their employment against the running surface can be influenced independently of one another, without changing the position of one of the two doctor devices Effects on the employment of the other squeegee devices has the consequence.
- the resulting decoupling of the two doctor devices simplifies their control and thus increases their Adjustment potential. This can be achieved, for example, in that the two squeegee devices independently of each other on the support unit are attachable.
- the support unit Feed channels includes which the application medium from a distribution pipe to Feed order chamber. This can influence the per unit time amount of application medium supplied to the order chamber largely, if not completely, of influencing employment the two squeegee devices are decoupled from the ground.
- the feed channels can be through holes, bores or the like may be formed in the support unit.
- the Feed channels but also through at least one of the doctor devices run, for example through a doctor bed of a roller doctor device.
- the distribution pipe is also formed. This simplifies at least the structure of the support beam.
- baffle plate is arranged at the Support unit in the area of the outlet openings of the feed channels in the Application chamber. This baffle prevents immediate contact of the escaping from the feed channels Application medium with the substrate and thus ensures a deflection of the application medium both in the running direction and in the transverse direction of the Underground.
- the movement components in the transverse direction provide for an even distribution of the application medium over the working width, while the movement components in the direction of the emergence of Prevent cross eddies adversely affecting the order result.
- the distance of the baffle plate from the outlet openings, as well as additional or alternatively the shape of the baffle plate can be dependent of the operating conditions with regard to a favorable influence of the order result.
- the distance of the baffle from the outlet openings can be, for example, by a detachable Fastening the baffle plate to the support unit and intermediate arrangement corresponding spacers can be changed.
- a simple yet precise way of attaching the squeegee devices can be provided on the support unit, for example that the metering doctor device and / or the sealing doctor device is positively attachable to the support unit.
- At least one of the two can be attached to the support unit Squeegee devices can be assigned at least one power device, which is preferably on the support unit or a part connected to it supports.
- at least one of the two doctor devices preferably two doctor blades, at least one each Power device to influence their employment against the current Be assigned to the underground.
- This employment strength machine can also support on the support unit or a part connected to it.
- the sealing doctor device mainly has the function that Seal the application chamber before the entry of air, in particular an air boundary layer carried on the surface of the running subsurface To keep away from the order chamber, it is sufficient with regard to a simple design of the control unit of the invention
- Application device when the employment of the sealing doctor device against the running surface can be adjusted unregulated. Because the metering device on the other hand, for the measurement of the coat weight of the is applied to the running surface of the applied application medium advantageous if the employment of the metering device against running surface is adjustable.

- 26 feed channels are in the support body 26b formed, which lie on one of the support beam 20 End face 26c of the support body 26 extend to the end face 26a and also communicate with passageways 22a which in the Distribution tube 22 and the support beam 20 are formed.
- Both doctor devices 32 and 34 are in the illustrated embodiment designed as a doctor blade device with a doctor rod 36 or 38, which is rotatable in a doctor bed 40 or 42 and if desired driven by rotation (see arrow P on metering rod 38). Since the doctor devices 32 and 34 in the illustrated embodiment are identical to each other, the type of Attaching the doctor devices 32 and 34 to the support body 26 are only explained using the example of the sealing doctor device 32.
- the Doctor bed 40 To attach the sealing doctor device 32 to the support body 26, the Doctor bed 40 an approach 40a, which with a main body 40b of Doctor bed 40 communicates flexibly.
- a strength machine 46 in In the present exemplary embodiment, a pressure hose 46, which is located on the Abutment body 28 supports, presses the projection 40a of the doctor bed 40th against a contact surface 26d of the support body 26.
- projections 40c provided on the projection 40a into corresponding ones Recesses 26e of the contact surface 26d form-fitting.
- Another pneumatic hose 48 which is also on the abutment body 28 supports, engages the doctor bed 40 in the area of its main part 40b.
- this pneumatic hose 48 can due to the flexible Connection of the main part 40b with the projection 40a of the doctor bed 40 at on the support body 26 fixed doctor bed 40 the employment of the doctor rod 36 can be varied against the underground U, understood in this context the flexibility of the connection between the approach 40a and the main part 40b of the doctor bed 40 both by suitable choice of material as well as by a suitable design of the doctor bed 40 can be provided.
- the doctor device 34 is by means of a Pneumatic hose 50 in the same manner on the support body 26 set as explained above for the sealing doctor device 32 has been.
- the metering doctor device 34 is also a further pneumatic hose 52 is assigned, which to influence the Serving the metering rod 38 against the underground U is used.
- the sealing rod 36 only has the task of the entry of air into the Prevent application chamber 44, in particular of air in the form of a 1 dashed air boundary layer from the underground U on is carried along its surface, the metering rod 38 is used Dosage of the application medium 12 that the application chamber 44 in the form the application layer 14 leaves, and thus for the measurement of the coat weight order layer 14.
- the doctor devices 32 and 34 Due to the essentially rigid design of the support unit 26 are in the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the doctor devices 32 and 34 in the running direction L of the underground U in a predetermined Kept apart. This predetermined distance is there again due to the rigidity of the support unit 26 from that of the order chamber 44 amount of order medium supplied per unit of time, the in the order chamber 44 prevailing pressure and the respective employment of the two doctor devices 32, 33 against the underground U essentially independently. It also ensures the essentially rigid Support unit 26 also in the transverse direction Q of the underground U for one Defined arrangement of the two doctor devices 32 and 34.
- the two doctor devices 32 and 34 are not only separate trained assemblies, but also as independent of each other controllable modules provided so that a change in employment one of the two doctor devices against the underground U by means of a of the strength devices 48 and 52 have no direct effect on the Setting the other doctor blade device against the underground U Has.

- the support beam 20 which is a solid part difficult to handle and edit, only the attachment points to show for the entire order assembly.
- this is not only a problem-free retrofitting of the application device 10 from one type of construction to another, but allows it to wear out, for example also the quick replacement of the worn order module a new order assembly 18 prepared at a set-up work station.
- the strength devices 46 and 50 rapid replacement of only the doctor devices or just one Doctor device possible.
- FIG. 2 Another embodiment of an application device according to the invention is shown in Fig. 2. This embodiment corresponds to essential of the embodiment according to FIG. 1. Therefore, in FIG. 2 Analog parts with the same reference numerals as in Fig. 1, however increased by the number 100. Furthermore, the application device 110 according to Fig. 2 are described below only to the extent that they differ from the Embodiment according to FIG. 1 differs on the description thereof hereby otherwise expressly referred.
- a first difference between the application device 110 according to FIG. 2 and the application device 10 of FIG. 1 is that the Metering rod 138 of the metering device 134 a smaller one Has a diameter than the sealing doctor blade 136 of the sealing doctor device 132.
- the reason for this is that in this case the order medium the order chamber is fed in excess, so that the order chamber volume flow leaving the sealing knife is greater than which the application chamber past the metering knife as an application layer leaving volume flow.
- doctor beds 140 and 142 especially in the area of their connection to the support body 126 and the points of attack for the power devices 146, 148, 150 and 152 (which are shown in Fig. 2 are only shown schematically as arrows), essentially the have the same shape. This enables the same support body 126 or one and the same around the abutment bodies 128 and 130 supplemented base unit 124 with doctor blades of any diameter equip as long as only the doctor beds for these doctor rods in terms of aforementioned contact areas in adaptation to the given Design conditions of the rest of the order assembly 118 identical are trained.
- doctor beds 140 and 142 have to be added that the flexibility the connection of the lug 140a to the main part 140b by a Notch 140d is supported.
- the application of the doctor beds 140 and 142 differs on the support body 126 of the appropriate type of attachment in the Embodiment according to FIG. 1. That is, the contact surface 126d in the area where the application assembly 118 is attached to the support beam 120 essentially orthogonal to its surface.
- Baffle plate 160 is arranged, which from the end face 126a of the Support body 126 has a predetermined distance d.
- the Baffle plate 160 on the support body 126 for example by means of screw bolts 164 can be fastened with the interposition of spacers 162.
- the Baffle plate 160 prevents that from exiting feed channels 126b Application medium 112 comes into direct contact with the underground U. Rather, the application medium emerging from the feed channels 126b becomes 112 both in the running direction L and in the transverse direction Q of the substrate U distracted. This leads to a more even distribution of the Application medium 112 in the transverse direction Q and thus to a more uniform Order result, i.e. a more even thickness of the application layer 114 in the running direction L and transverse direction Q of the underground U.
- the distance d of the baffle plate 160 from the end face 126a of the Support body 126 adapted in any way to the operating conditions are, for example the viscosity of the application medium, the per Unit of time supplied to the order chamber Diameter of the doctor rods and the like.
- the Shape of the baffle plate 160 in a suitable manner in adaptation to the Operating conditions can be selected.
- the manifold 122 at the Application device 110 according to FIG. 2 is formed in the support body 126 and not in the support beam 120. This is particularly the case with application devices 110 small working width is an advantage or / and for application devices, with which only a light coat weight on the Underground U is applied. It also simplifies this the formation of the support beam 120.
- the application device 110 differs according to FIG. 2 from the embodiment according to FIG. 1 in that in the area of the sealing doctor device 132 between the power device 148 to influence the Setting the sealing rod 136 against the underground U and the Doctor bed 140, a cover element 166 is arranged, for example is attached to the abutment body 128 at 166a.
- This cover element that can be made of plastic, for example Task, the strength device 148 and also the strength device 146 before the contamination to protect by application medium 112 'which on the sealing doctor device 132 past the order chamber against the direction of travel L of the underground U leaves.
- Such a counter flow of application medium 112 ' may be desirable, for example, to prevent air from entering to prevent the order chamber 144 even more reliably.
- the cover element 166 is so flexible or / and is attached to the abutment body 128 so that it is a Adjustment of the sealing doctor device 132 by the power device 148 in the essentially not hindered.
- Feed channels 126b can also be provided feed channels 127, which is a doctor bed 140 or 142 of one of the two doctor devices 132 and enforce 134. In Fig. 2 such feed channels 127 are for clarity for the sake of illustration only for doctor device 132 dashed entered.
- the distribution channel feeding these supply channels 127 122 'can between the doctor bed 140 and the abutment body 128 be formed or as in the illustrated embodiment between the doctor bed 140 and the cover element 166.
- FIG. 3 shows a further application device according to the invention, which essentially corresponds to the two application devices described above corresponds. Therefore, in Fig. 3, analog parts are the same Reference numerals as in FIG. 1, but increased by the number 200.
- the embodiment of FIG. 3 is only in the following to the extent described as differing from embodiments Fig. 1 and 2 differs in the description of herewith otherwise expressly referenced.
- applicator 210 and the application devices 10 according to FIG. 1 and 110 according to FIG. 2 is that the doctor blade device 234 is not one in one Squeegee bed received doctor blade rod, but a doctor blade 270th
- the embodiment according to FIG. 3 in particular what the formation of the sealing doctor device 232 with a sealing rod 236 and a doctor bed 240, their attachment and Control by means of the power devices 246 and 248 and the like as far as the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2 are concerned.
