Die spezifischen Festigkeiten der Vliesstoffe bei der Verwendung von Wasserdampf als Arbeitsmedium sind unter Berücksichtigung des Druckniveaus annähernd vergleichbar mit denen der Wasserstrahlverfestigung.
Claims (7)
- Verfahren zur Verfestigung von Faser- und/oder Filamentvliesen durch Beaufschlagung des Vlieses mit Strahlen gasförmiger Medien, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich die Strahlen in einem kritischen Ausströmzustand befinden und zur Erreichung maximaler Impulswirkung beim Auftreffen auf die Faser- /Filamentoberfläche eine Dichte von 2 - 50 kg/m3 und eine Geschwindigkeit aufweisen, die der dem Ruhedruck und der Ruhetemperatur des Gases entsprechenden kritischen Geschwindigkeit gleichkommt, und welche durch Düsen erzeugt werden, deren Querschnitt über die gesamte Düsenlänge konstant ist oder sich zum Düsenaustritt reduziert, wobei der kleinste Düsenquerschnitt sich am Düsenaustritt befindet.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Arbeitsmedium Wasserdampf verwendet wird, dessen Temperatur zur Kompensation der bei der Durchströmung der Düsen stattfindenden Entspannung des Dampfes und der damit verbundenen Beschleunigung um mindestens 40 °K über der zum Ruhedampfdruck gehörenden Sattdampftemperatur liegen muß.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß bei Verwendung gasförmiger Arbeitsmedien mit einer Temperatur über 350 °K zusätzlich zur mechanischen Verfestigung auch thermische Verfestigungs- und Schrumpfeffekte bei Verwendung geeigneter Faser-/ Filamentmaterialien erzielt werden können.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Verfestigungsverfahren gleichzeitig zur Strukturierung oder Oberflächenmodifizierung textiler Flächengebilde genutzt werden kann.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zur Erzielung günstiger Verfestigungseffekte gitterartige oder andere durchbrochene Strukturen zwischen Düsenaustritt und zu verfestigendem Material angeordnet sein können.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auch einzelne Fasern bzw. Filamente an ein Vlies bzw. anderes textiles Flächengebilde gebunden werden können.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Verfahren zur gleichzeitigen Vilesbildung und Vliesverfestigung genutzt werden kann.
