  • the wiping lips 20 are applied by their upper faces 21 and the edges 24 of said faces against rod 12.
  • the bottom wall 6 thus changes configuration, passing from a shape generally concave towards the opening of the container to a generally concave shape inward of the container, as shown in Figure 3.

  • the wiping lips 20 are naturally non-contiguous, the latter are only weakly compressed by the presence of the applicator during storage and thus prevents them from acquiring permanent deformation which could be detrimental to the proper spinning of the application element.
  • the slot 7 can be produced by cutting using a blade, or alternatively result from the molding of the wiper member, after possibly breaking a fine membrane connecting the wiping lips 20.
  • the edges of the lips advantageously comprise a chamfer.

  • the slot 53 extends over a flat region of the bottom wall 52 and is extended at its axial ends 54 by cutouts 56 intended to facilitate the pivoting of the spin lips 55.
  • the cuts 56 can form on either side of the slot 53 a V whose vertex lies in the axis of the slot and the branches move away from the slot.
