As a result, the action of switching on the hob is better visualized and at the same time a clear separation between display elements and operating elements is achieved.
- no decorative printing is provided on the surface of the glass ceramic cooktop in the area above the lighting element.
- the display symbol mask is advantageously held on the lighting element, in particular at a distance from the underside of the glass ceramic cooktop.
- the distance from the glass ceramic plate ensures that the display element is not damaged even at extremely high temperatures of the glass ceramic plate. Since the underside of the plate is strongly profiled, it is advantageous in this case for a sharp or high-contrast display to apply a known smoothing compound in the relevant profile area of the plate. Regardless of this, because of the mounting of the display symbol mask on the lighting element, the tolerances which exist during manufacture and assembly of the hob do not cause any problems with regard to compliance with the good spatial assignment of the mask to the lighting element.
