Claims (11)
- Verfahren zum Herstellen eines strangartigen Verbundes (2) aus Glasfasern, bei dem mit Hilfe einer an der Oberfläche einer Spinntrommel (5) ausgebildeten, rotierenden Ziehfläche (6) parallel nebeneinanderliegende Glasfäden (4) ausgezogen werden, die nach einer vorbestimmten Verweilzeit von der Ziehfläche (6) abgehoben und umgelenkt werden, wobei die Glasfäden (4) nach dem Abheben quer zur Umlaufrichtung der Ziehfläche (6) zusammengefaßt und in einer Richtung parallel zu einer Radialrichtung der Ziehfläche (6) abgezogen werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein Luftpolster ausbildet, mit dem man die Glasfäden (4) beim Umlenken abfedert.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Umlenken mit einem Radius und einem Winkel erfolgt, bei dem mindestens 50% der Glasfasern (4) nicht bricht.

- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß, abgesehen von einer Bewegung beim Zusammenfassen, alle Glasfäden (4) nur in jeweils einer Ebene bewegt werden.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Glasfäden (4) aus C-Glas bestehen.
- Vorrichtung zum Herstellen eines strangartigen Verbundes (2) aus Glasfasern (4) mit einer an der Oberfläche einer Spinntrommel (5) ausgebildeten, rotierenden Ziehfläche (6), an der eine Abhebeeinrichtung (8) angeordnet ist, an die sich eine nach vorne gerichtete Leiteinrichtung (9) anschließt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Leiteinrichtung (9) zumindest abschnittsweise einen trichterartigen, sich in der Fortbewegungsrichtung der Glasfasern (4) verjüngenden Aufbau (12) aufweist und der Umlenkabschnitt (10) einen Ausweichraum (16) zur Aufnahme eines die Glasfasern abfedernden Luftpolsters aufweist.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Leiteinrichtung (9) einen Umlenkabschnitt (10) aufweist, der hinter der Abhebeeinrichtung (8) angeordnet ist, wobei der Umlenkabschnitt einen Umlenkwinkel von weniger als 120° aufweist.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Umlenkradius größer als ein Knickradius ist, bei dem ein vorbestimmter Anteil der Glasfäden bricht.
- Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 8 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in Laufrichtung hinter der Leiteinrichtung (9) eine Nachbehandlungseinrichtung (17) angeordnet ist.
