Definitions
- the present invention relates to a wet classifier of substances containing solid particles.
- the solid (powder) becomes a liquid (usually water) mixed in a premix tank, to get a suspension.
- the suspension will, if required in a subsequent dilution tank diluted and then into the centrifuge Wet classifier introduced.
- Inside the rotating one Centrifugal drums become the heavier and coarser ones Particles faster than the lighter and finer ones Suspension guided radially outwards against the drum wall, where they settle as sediment.
- the sediment is in Cleaning phases of the wet classifier from the drum wall solved, whereby, depending on the embodiment, Cleaning fluids, mechanical cleaning equipment, such as knives, etc.
- the classified suspension is used during the classification process continuously withdrawn from the wet classifier and passed on for further use.
- Such a wet classification system therefore requires a premix tank (Dispersing unit) for producing the to be classified Suspension, the actual classification unit (Centrifuge) and a storage container to hold the classified suspension, these parts over corresponding Inlets and outlets are interconnected.
- a premix tank Disposing unit
- the actual classification unit Chiptrifuge
- a storage container to hold the classified suspension
- the present invention has for its object a To create a system for wet classification of the specified type, which is characterized by a particularly compact structure.
- the system designed according to the invention is characterized by this from that it is particularly compact, i.e. includes very few parts. This is because the Classifying unit (centrifuge) at the same time as a dispersing unit is used. A separate dispersion unit (Premixing container) as in the prior art is eliminated Consequently. A batch container serves both to hold the Liquid to disperse as well as to absorb the suspension to be classified, prepared by dispersion. The classified suspension is from the dispersing and Classifying unit in a storage container for further Use led.
- the system works in such a way that initially with the loading unit the substance containing solid particles, especially powdery substance, and from the batch container the dispersing liquid into the dispersing and Classification unit will be introduced.
- the dispersing device In this dispersion phase the dispersing device is in operation.
- the classification phase takes place, in which the Centrifugal drum is running with the increased classification speed.
- the coarse fraction or coarse glomerate collects here in the solids traps of the centrifugal drum, and the finished, i.e. classified suspension leaves the drum ready for use and is in the storage container for that classified suspension introduced and stored there.
- the dispersing and classifying unit In the subsequent cleaning phase of the dispersing and classifying unit, which begins, for example, when 50% by volume of the Solid trapping spaces are filled with coarse glomerates a redispersion, according to which the sediment from the Catch spaces dissolved and redispersed in liquid is usually added as a cleaning liquid becomes.
- the sediment is preferably loosened about the intended dispersing device, which in the Cleaning phase as a mechanical detachment device for the Sediment cake, for example in the form of Dispersing knives, works. In this cleaning phase it will be like this worked long until the solids traps were cleaned are and the dispersing knife near the drum wall stand.
- the dissolved sediment (redispersed suspension) leaves the dispersing and classifying unit as pumpable suspension and can according to the corresponding Processing (grinding the coarse fraction) back into the system be introduced.
- the feed and discharge system preferably allows between Mixing container and dispersing and classifying unit one Management of the dispersing liquid and the to be classified Suspension in circulation.
- This embodiment enables that in the dispersion phase during the loading of the dispersing and classifying device with the powdered Substance the dispersing liquid between the batch container and dispersing and classifying unit in a circuit is and also after the loading of the powdered Substance a change over a period of time is carried out.
- a desired suspension slurry
- Suitable pumping devices are for circulation intended.
- the desired degree of classification expediently one in the discharge system for the classified Monitoring filter switched on.
- the one working as a centrifugal pump during classification The dispersing and classification unit promotes the classified suspension under pressure through the monitoring filter, the classified and filtered suspension stored in the storage tank becomes.
- the stored suspension is in the storage tank itself expediently with the aid of a stirring device kept moving.
- the sediment cake is in the cleaning phase (separated coarse fraction) from the solid traps solved and by cleaning liquid supply converted back into a pumpable suspension, which in a suitable storage tank is collected.
- the attachment preferably has a grinding unit for the separated Coarse fraction into which the redispersed sediment is introduced becomes.
- the grinding unit can be used as a separate grinding unit or as integrated in the dispersing and classifying unit Be ground milling unit. It can be, for example to be a ball mill. In it the separated coarse fraction to the desired fineness ground. The fine suspension produced in this way can again Batch container fed and again at the next new batch be used.
- the feed unit expediently has a means Big bag operated by a hoist.
- This big bag takes the pulverulent material to be classified. He will when loading into the emptying position using a hoist brought, deposited and connected to a dosing device. The dosing device is then started, so that the big bag is emptied fully automatically and the powdery substance, for example fine powder Titanium dioxide, continuously fed to the process.
- the powdery substance for example fine powder Titanium dioxide
- the system has a test unit for the quality of the to be classified and / or classified suspension.
- This has the advantage of being direct it can be checked within the plant whether the suspension has the appropriate quality. To do this no laborious laboratory measurements are carried out. So can, for example, with the help of the test unit, as long as the suspension produced by dispersing or else the classified suspension is circulated, randomly examined whether the suspensions correspond to the corresponding Possess quality grade. For example, at A coarse filter test can be performed while dispersing a fine filter test for the classified suspension can be carried out.
- the system can also be an intermediate container ter for storing the classified suspension in front of the storage tank exhibit.
- the system according to the invention designed so that both dispersed and classified can be.
- the one in the dispersing and classifying unit provided dispersing device is preferably so trained that they simultaneously as a mechanical cleaning device be used in the cleaning phase can.
- this does not preclude both devices be separated from each other and, for example, in the respective Phase entered the unit and after completion during this phase can be moved out of the unit can.
- the invention does not exclude that the one described here System used exclusively for classifying is, a corresponding to already in the batch container classifying suspension is present or is generated there.
- the dispersing and classifying unit works as a pure classifying centrifuge, and the dispersing device works as a purely mechanical cleaning device.
- the purpose of the system is, however, the dispersing process and the classification process in one compact Unit to perform the number of components required to reduce and a particularly compact design to enable unity.
- additional facilities within the common Housing can be housed, for example Storage tank for the suspension containing the coarse fraction, the drive for the dispersing and classifying unit, the Dosing device etc.
- the system has a housing 3, which is used to hold the most components of the system. Furthermore, the facility a batch container 25 and a storage container 31 as well as corresponding pipelines, pumps, valves, instruments etc., with most of these components also is housed in the housing 3.
- a combined dispersing and Classifying unit 12 which is a stationary outer housing as well a centrifugal drum arranged vertically in the outer housing 11 has.
- the centrifugal drum is powered by a motor and driven a vertical shaft. From the top protrudes into the Centrifugal drum 11 into a combined dispersing and Cleaning device 8 in and out of the drum it can be moved out again.
- a feed unit For loading the dispersing and classifying unit 12 with A powder unit to be classified is a feed unit provided a big bag 2 and a Dosing device 4 comprises.
- the Big Bag 2 can with the help a hoist 1 in the corresponding emptying position brought, dropped off and connected there.
- the emptying Big-Bags 2 can be connected after connecting the dosing device 4 take place fully automatically, whereby in the present Example of finely powdered titanium dioxide continuously is entered into the dispersing and classifying unit 12.
- a batch container 25 there is water, which means a pump 27 via a pipe 35 in the Dispersing and classifying unit 12 is pumped. That in the Pipeline 35 arranged valve 26 is open. In this phase is the dispersing device 8 within the centrifugal drum 11 in rotation, the Knives protrude into the chambers. Furthermore, the rotates Centrifugal drum 11. Via a line 36 is in the Dispersing and classifying unit 12 formed suspension withdrawn from the unit and back into the batch container 25 introduced. There is a stirrer 37 in the Batch container in operation. The liquid or the Formed suspension is thus between dispersing and Classifying unit 12 and the batch container 25 in the circuit guided.
- the big bag 2 becomes continuous emptied and into the circulated liquid (water) dispersed.
- the stirrer 37 rotates in the batch container 25 doing so at a certain speed.
- the centrifugal drum 11 works with a reduced one during the dispersing Rotational speed.
- the valve 19 is closed here, and the overflow peeling device 6 explained later pivoted out of the drum work space while the Dispersing device 8 is pivoted.
- the valve 17 is opened.
- the drive device for the stirrer 37 is 24 designated.
- a valve connected in parallel to valve 26 bears the designation 29, while one parallel to the pump 27 switched pump carries the designation 28.
- the Centrifugal drum 11 to the preselected classification speed set. When this speed is reached, the pivots Overflow peeling device 6 in the drum work space.
- the valve 19 for the classified suspension opens.
- the Valve 16 the function of which will be explained later, remains closed while the valve 17 is also open.
- the one to be classified in the batch container 25 Suspension is pumped 28 through the pipeline 35 with the valve 29 open the dispersing and Classifying unit 12 supplied.
- the classification process is now running fully automatic until the preselected classification time has expired.
- the valve 19 is closed.
- the valve 17 also closes and the valve 16 is opened.
- the dispersing device 8, the mechanical Cleaning device is used in the centrifugal drum retracted. It becomes cleaning fluid continuously admitted. Work continues until the Solid traps are cleaned and the knife of the disperser 8 stand near the drum wall. The dissolved sediment leaves the dispersing and Classification unit 12 as a pumpable suspension and is in Storage container 13 collected.
- the drum 11 is brought to a standstill, so that the residual liquid can also leave the system. Then a set amount of liquid is used Clean with swiveled in dispersing knives and rotating Drum through the dispersing and classifying unit in drove the batch container 25.
- the valve is 17th opened while the valve 16 is closed.
- the redispersed sediment collected in the storage container 13 is with the help of a pump 14 of the mill 15th (Ball mill) fed. It will be in the centrifugal drum separated coarse fraction to the desired fineness ground. The fine suspension produced in this way becomes the batch container 25 fed and used again in the next new batch.
- test unit 10 In the housing 3 there is also a test unit 10 with which can be checked on site whether it is dispersing and / or the corresponding quality level when classifying is reached. It is so long when dispersing in Circuit until the coarse filter test of the test unit passed. Classification can then begin become. If the test unit passed the fine filter test can with the deduction of the classified suspension be started.
- the system designed according to the invention thus adjusts Maximum compactness, flexibility and control options (without wasting time, without container contamination) for Available.
- the system can be operated fully automatically, and the personnel expenditure is low.
- a major advantage is that in particular in the case of finely powdered products by dispersing them generated vacuum with sucked in and dispersed is so that there is only a small environmental impact.
