Claims (19)
- Method of winding a material web (12), such as in particular a paper or board web, onto a spool (14, 14'), in which the material web (12) is led over a carrier drum (20) and a winding nip (22) is formed between the carrier drum (20) and the spool (14, 14'), and the material web (12) is severed for a respective spool change with a full spool (14) offset from the carrier drum (20) and the new, empty spool (14') assigned to the carrier drum (20),
characterized in that, in the region between the full and the new spool (14 and 14'), the web tension is controlled and/or regulated by means of the torque acting on the full spool (14) as a function of the current position of at least one cutting element (24) that can be moved generally transversely with respect to the web running direction (L), such that, during this severing operation, the said tension is kept below a critical value, above which uncontrolled tearing of the material web (12) can occur in the region between the full and the new spool (14 and 14'). - Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the torque acting on the full spool (14) is likewise controlled and/or regulated as a function of the web speed such that the web tension is kept below the critical value during the severing operation.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the material web (12) is severed by means of at least one cutting element (24) that operates without contact.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the full spool (14) is braked after the severing operation has been completed.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the torque acting on the full spool (14) is reduced linearly to the value zero within a predefinable time period (t2 - t1) at the start of the severing operation.
- Method according to Claim 5, characterized in that, for the time period (t2 - t1), a value of 0.2 to 1 s and preferably a value of about 0.4 s is chosen.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the full spool (14) is braked as soon as the torque acting on it has reached the value zero.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the web tension upstream and/or downstream of the carrier drum (20) is preferably reduced by means of swinging rolls.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the web tension is influenced sectionally by means of a device located upstream of the carrier drum (20) in the web running direction (L), preferably by means of a spreader roll or a sectioned roll permitting a specific influence to be exerted on the tension in the individual zones.
- Winding machine (10) for winding a material web (12), such as in particular a paper or board web, onto a spool (14, 14'), in which the material web (12) is led over a carrier drum (20) and a winding nip (22) is formed between the carrier drum (20) and the spool (14, 14'), and the material web (12) is severed for a respective spool change with a full spool (14) offset from the carrier drum (20) and the new, empty spool (14') assigned to the carrier drum (20),
characterized in that an open-loop and/or closed-loop control device (26) is provided, by means of which, in the region between the full and the new spool (14 and 14'), the web tension can be controlled and/or regulated by means of the torque acting on the full spool (14) as a function of the current position of at least one cutting element (24) that can be moved generally transversely with respect to the web running direction (L), such that, during this severing operation, the said tension is kept below a critical value, above which uncontrolled tearing of the material web (12) can occur in the region between the full and the new spool (14 and 14'). - Winding machine (10) according to Claim 10, characterized in that, by means of the open-loop and/or closed-loop control device (26), the torque acting on the full spool (14) is likewise controlled and/or regulated as a function of the web speed such that the web tension is kept below the critical value during the severing operation.
- Winding machine according to Claim 10 or 11, characterized in that, in order to sever the material web (12), at least one cutting element (24) that operates without contact is provided.
- Winding machine according to one of Claims 10 to 12, characterized in that means are provided to brake the full spool (14) after the severing operation has been completed.
- Winding machine according to Claim 13, characterized in that the full spool (14) can be braked via the open-loop and/or closed-loop control device (26).
- Winding machine according to one of Claims 10 to 14, characterized in that, by means of the open-loop and/or closed-loop control device (26), the torque acting on the full spool (14) can be controlled and/or regulated linearly down to the value zero within a predefinable time period (t2 - t1) at the start (t1) of the severing operation.
- Winding machine according to Claim 15, characterized in that the time period (t2 - t1) has a value of 0.2 to 1 s and preferably a value of about 0.4 s.
- Winding machine according to one of Claims 10 to 16, characterized in that the full spool (14) can be braked by the open-loop and/or closed-loop control device (26) as soon as the torque acting on it has reached the value zero.
- Winding machine according to one of Claims 10 to 17, characterized in that the web tension upstream and/or downstream of the carrier drum (20) can preferably be reduced by means of swinging rolls.
- Winding machine according to one of Claims 10 to 18, characterized in that the web tension can be influenced sectionally by means of a device located upstream of the carrier drum (20) in the web running direction (L), preferably by means of a spreader roll or a sectioned roll permitting a specific influence to be exerted on the tension in the individual zones.
