Abstract

A safety and protection device for a raisable-curtain goods-handling door (1) has a flexible curtain including a single sheet fitted with at least one raising strap (10) disposed against the outside of the curtain, the device having an apron (7) placed against the curtain on the same face of the curtain as the straps, to cover the door from the vicinity of its bottom up to a height that is at least sufficient to provide the desired type of protection, and over a width that is at least sufficient to cover the straps, the apron being capable of being fixed to the curtain in such a manner as to avoid impeding the movements of the strap.

Description

The subject of the present invention is an industrial door and / or lifting type handling, provided with at least a strap placed against the door.

Industrial and / or handling doors are doors installed in factories, warehouses, hangars of all kinds, large sales areas, public places and others to separate spaces from each other and workshops or isolate them from the outside, to preserve temperature, avoid the propagation of drafts, noise, etc. Lift doors are organized for be opened and then closed quickly, by lifting and descent, to let people and personal or vehicles of all kinds, trucks, carts, etc. These doors consist of curtains formed of flexible or rigid panels, winding or folding at the top of the door. The doors foldable are operated by straps, which go up the signs. Roller doors do not use strap for their operation, but may include for particular functions: detection of obstacles, curtain tension monitoring, consolidation, etc.

A strap consists of a cable or ribbon textile or other, resistant, can be wound on a suitable drum. The object of the invention is to protect the straps against accidental snagging on materials circulating too close to the door, or clashes on people placed too close to the door, which constitutes a danger to these people.

Some folding doors, such as those are described in the publications CH 523 394 A, FR 2 274 775 A and FR 2 614 924 A, describe doors comprising a curtain made of two flexible, vertical sheets and parallels connected together at the bottom of the curtain and at various heights by stiffening elements horizontal. Lifting traction devices curtain, such as straps are arranged between the two leaves. They are attached to the lower stiffener, and pass through holes formed in the other stiffeners. In curtains of this type, the straps are arranged internally. They cannot be damaged by materials circulating too close to the door or hanging such materials, or people placed too close to the door.

Serious accidents may result, if no type of prevention or protection is provided electrical, mechanical, physical or other.

The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and remove those risks in the latter type of doors.

In accordance with the present invention, this goal is achieved with an object as defined in main claim 1 and in the claims dependent thereon.

In an example of an embodiment where the curtain of the door is reinforced by horizontal bars of stiffening (at least one), the deck also has bars in number corresponding to the number of bars in the curtain over the height to be covered. An apron according to the invention can be simply attached with the curtain, against the flexible curtain itself, preferably by means that can be undone and redone simply : press studs, zippers, "Velcro" type fasteners (registered trademark), snaps, screws or the like. As the apron is placed against the curtain on the side where there are straps (at the minus one), it is essential to ensure freedom of moving the strap by placing the fasteners correctly, which presents no difficulty for the skilled person.

In the case of a folding curtain, reinforced with stiffening bars, the curtain folds down along the bars, or on some of them (for example, a On two). FIG. 1A shows in perspective an element of curtain 1 of a folding door, reinforced by a bar 2 disposed in a sheath 3 formed, for example, by applying a strip of a sheet of material suitable glued, welded or sewn to the curtain. The apron is reinforced by bars 8, placed in sheaths 9, at the same spacing as the reinforcement bars of the curtain. Cutouts 11 are made in the apron sheaths, opposite the cutouts in the curtain sleeve for the strap guides. It is so simple to fix the apron bars to the stirrups 41 strap guides, by any type of fasteners 12 available on the market (see fig. 2). We see in this example that a apron of the invention can be placed on a door of this type, without any modification at the door.

The fixing of FIG. 1B is obtained by means of a strap guide 43 whose stirrup 44 is formed with a part comprising a tube 45. The assembly thus produced is simple, reliable and aesthetic.

FIG. 2 represents a section through a vertical plane, perpendicular to the curtain, in the middle of a strap guide, when the curtain is raised and folded, after the curtain has been attached to the curtain, as noted above opposite Figure 1A. The folds of the curtain fall from side (left in the figure). of the strap, while the folds of the apron fall on the other side. Note that the presence of the apron, in addition to the protection of the strap, prevents an object, or an arm (for example from a person leaning on the curtain) to be trapped and dragged in a fold of the curtain.

The apron will advantageously be arranged from the bottom curtain, up to a chosen height, for example about two meters for the protection of people. This maybe more, if there is for example a risk hooking a fork to a cart at a height higher. In width, we prefer to have the apron between door jambs without the need to get inside of them, unless you see there any utility in a particular application.

It will be understood that such an apron can be delivered with a new door, or installed on any existing door. The invention allows with simple means to obtain a great security. The apron simultaneously provides improvement of sound or thermal insulation. At this end, you can equip a door, for example during winter period, an apron covering all of the door surface.

Figure 3 shows a sectional view through a plane vertical, perpendicular to a door, to the right of a strap, for a door of the type described in the patent European no. 0 551 784. Each bar consists of two half-bars 21, 22 applied one against the other in pressing the curtain between her. In this example, the curtain consists of several panels 23, 24 whose edges are overlapped between the two half bars. Each bar has in appropriate places, where appropriate over its entire length, an extra thickness 25 pierced a channel 26 for passing a strap. It will suffice then, in this example, to fix the apron to extra thicknesses 25, for example by press studs. The apron will not have reinforcing bars. However, if the number of extra thicknesses 25 is not sufficient, it may be better to provide bars of fixation.

Another example is shown in Figure 4 which is also a sectional view through a vertical plane perpendicular to a folding curtain 30 in line with the attachment of a strap guide. Reinforcement bar 31 is housed in a sheath formed with a fixed band 32 suitably curtain 30.

For fixing the strap guide, the sheath is not not open. The strap guide consists of a stirrup 35 integral with a half-sleeve 36. This is fixed to the bar 31 through the curtain 30. The apron can be fixed then to the bracket 35, with or without fixing bar according to the case.

The apron can be attached to another part that the strap guide already in place. We can use in any number, along a bar, pieces analogs which do not serve as a strap guide.

The device according to the invention is of one embodiment and a simple and economical installation. He can too serve to make waterproof (in winter period, for example) screens with ventilation holes, such as example of anti-wear screens. Assembly and disassembly easy to set up quickly, abduction to gain access, adaptation, etc.

Claims (5)

1. Handling door with a screen (1) which can be lifted, the said door comprising a flexible screen consisting of a single sheet, provided with at least one strap (10), which is disposed against the screen and is secured to the base of the latter, characterised in that the door comprises a protection and safety device which consists of a panel (7) provided with means for carrying out fast and simple detachable securing onto the screen, on the surface of the screen on which the at least one strap is located, the said panel having dimensions such as to cover the door from approximately the base to a height of approximately two metres, and a width which covers at least the straps.
2. Door according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises at least one horizontal strengthening bar (2), and in that the panel (7) comprises at least one horizontal strengthening bar (8), the said bar of the panel comprising means for securing to the said bar of the door.
3. Door according to claim 2, characterised in that the screen comprises a sheath in which the bar of the door is accommodated, the said sheath being formed with a cut-out (5) in order to receive a part (4) for passage of a strap, the panel comprising a sheath (9) to receive the bar (8), the said sheath comprising a cut-out (11) to be placed opposite the cut-out (5) in the sheath of the screen, means being provided to secure the bar of the panel thus laid bare to the said part (4) for passage of the strap.
4. Door according to claim 1, characterised in that the door comprises at least one strengthening bar (2-21,31) provided with means (25,26-35-41) for retention and passage of a strap, the panel comprising means for securing to the said means (25,26-35-41) for retention and passage of a strap.
5. Door according to claim 4, characterised in that the panel comprises a strengthening bar which is provided with means for securing to the said means for retention and passage of a strap.
