シャッター構造は、製造工場、倉庫等の大型施設から、店舗,車庫等様々な場所で使用されており、それらに使用される遮蔽部材の素材も様々で、スチール、アルミ等の金属製のもの、或いはポリエステルに樹脂コートを施した樹脂製シート状のもの等が挙げられる。

従来、垂直開閉式のシャッターでは、図18に示す如く、遮蔽部材4aの上部先端が直接引き上げ及び繰り出し用のドラム3aに接続しており、このドラムに巻き回して遮蔽部材4aの巻き取りを行っていた。この様な巻き取り方式だと、遮蔽部材4a及びドラム3aと収納ケース2aとの間に物理的な接続を行うことは出来ず、完全にその隙間を遮蔽することは不可能であった。この隙間によって、収納ケース内が外界と通じているばかりか、結果的には、建物内部が常に外部に曝されている状況となっており、この隙間が鼠、昆虫等が建物内部に侵入する侵入経路Aを形成して種々の被害をもたらしていた。

この様な隙間をなくす工夫がこれまでいくつかなされてきているが、基本的にはどれも同じ発想によるもので、垂直開閉式シャッターの上部隙間の遮蔽は完全でなかった。それらの工夫とは、遮蔽部材に対してゴム,ビニール樹脂等の弾力のある材料を密着させることによってすきまを最小にしようとするものであったが(例えば特許文献1及び2参照)、遮蔽部材や遮蔽部材引き上げドラムが可動部品である以上、既存の巻き取り方式だと密閉構造がつくれなかった。また、それら遮蔽補助部品は常に遮蔽部材と密着しているため、開閉時に磨滅したり、鼠等にかじられるたりすることにより機能の劣化が著しい。

本発明のシャッターは、建物開口部の上部に設置されたドラム等装置により、面状の遮蔽部材を巻き取る、もしくは繰り出すことによりって開閉する従来のシャッター機構と基本的な構造は類似するものであるが、本発明では、遮蔽部材と引き上げドラムとの接続位置を変更することにより、シャッターを収納ケースに接合して一体構造とし、シャッター前後を貫通する収納ケース内の隙間を完全に遮蔽する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照して説明する。

図面に示す如く、本発明のシャッター1は、建物の出入り口等の被遮蔽部aを遮蔽すべく設置するもので、収納ケース2と、ドラム3と、遮蔽部材4とを備えている。

収納ケース2は被遮蔽部a上に横設したもので、その支持方法は種々の形態を採用でき、例えば、建物等の躯体に直接取り付けたり、被遮蔽部a両側に立設した一対の支持フレーム上に横設することができる。また、内部にドラム3及び引き上げた遮蔽部材4を収納し、下面には遮蔽部材4や後述する牽引部材を出入りさせるための窓孔6を開口している。収納ケース2を形成する材質は種々のものが採用できて特に限定されず、例えば、金属や合成樹脂,或いはこれらの複合したもの等が使用できる。
