Description

The invention relates to a door, window or similar assembly. plus rolling shutter including a sleeping frame capable of receiving an opening frame and surmounted by a rolling shutter box accommodating a mechanism for winding an apron provided suitable for come to deploy outside the door or window while being guided laterally by means of attached slides directly or by tapping on the uprights of said sleeping frame, this box being defined by a wall external, an upper wall, an internal wall and an underside, at the level of the latter being provided a slot for the passage of the apron.

The invention relates to the field of building joinery and relates, in particular, to a window or door assembly, plus roller shutter.

More and more frequently, research is carried out in the field of construction, to limit the time of interventions on site. Also, we tend to design pre-assembled sub-assemblies whose implementation on site is made easier.

Thus, if it was customary, until then, to deliver on a construction site, window and door window fittings and door in a configuration without additional roller shutter forcing the assembly operators to first install these joinery before mounting said shutters rolling, it is more common, currently, to have a together that we just brought, in one piece, to the level construction. More precisely, we now have door or window blocks - rolling shutter, consisting of a frame frame provided capable of receiving an opening and surmounted frame, at level of its upper cross member, of a roller shutter box integrating the entire mechanism thereof. This box of roller shutter is defined by an outer wall, a wall upper, an inner wall and an underside at which there is a slot for the passage of an apron. It is designed to wrap around a tree winding housed in said box and to be deployed, outside the door or window. For this purpose, at the level of amounts of the frame are attached, directly or to the through tapped (profiles forming spacers), backstage communicating with the interior of the box through the slot in the underside. These slides ensure the maintenance and lateral guidance of said deck. It will be specified, in this regard, that the apron passage slot at the underside of the box is bounded by the longitudinal outer edge of this wall corresponding to said underside and by the edge lower longitudinal of the outer wall of the box. AT note that at these edges delimiting said slot, one possibly finds sealing means such as brooms or the like.

To better understand the problem posed, we will refer to the continuation of the presentation relating to the state of the art in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawings, attached, illustrating, in FIG. 1, the installation of a carpentry at the level of a construction in the absence of a roller shutter, while in Figure 2 it is depicted a window unit or roller shutter unit assembly in its current configuration.

Insofar as this type of door or window unit - shutter roller B is designed to be attached to the wall masonry, internal side to a wall M, we manage, especially for air tightness issues, so that the extra thickness produced by the sliding assembly C - tapped possible - frame D, on the internal side of the masonry, is at least equal to the thickness of the lining wall P that internally receives the M wall. Ultimately, the utility a taped, therefore a profile forming a spacer between the runner C and the frame D, is only necessary case of double thickness P lining wall. She can still be useful when, around the edge of an opening in a wall corresponding to a door, window or the like, is provided, on the internal side, a step allowing to define a reservation for the housing of the window unit or shutter door rolling.

However, this thickness corresponding to the slide assembly - possible typing and sleeping frame is, in all cases, less than the depth of a roller shutter box V of so that it comes to extend further inward of habitation and is usually salient compared to on the internal side of the lining wall P. Under these conditions, this box V of rolling shutter appears, not only, unsightly, but, above all, annoyance, considerably, the laying of blinds, curtains or the like. Indeed, such blinds or other cannot be fixed on the underside S of the box without hindering the opening of the door or window. Also, should they be placed at the front of the interior wall I of the box which comes to shift them significantly by report to that door or window. In addition, the fixing poses also some difficulties since it is usually excluded from make these blinds integral with this internal wall I of the box, this usually serving as a trap door and therefore access to the shutter curtain winding mechanism rolling.

Apart from this unsightly aspect and difficulties related to the installation of a blind or equivalent, these V boxes which are have protrusions relative to the internal side of the wall of doubling P internally requires the presence of a thermal insulation on five sides, namely the five sides communicating with the interior of the dwelling, i.e. the wall upper, inner wall, underside and walls side. In this regard, it will be observed that the winding shaft of the apron is usually held at its ends by supporting cheeks capable of defining, in themselves, these walls side. However, when they are apparent, even partially, it is essential to improve its appearance aesthetic using lateral flanges coming, then, close, in addition, these boxes at their ends.

This obligation to ensure thermal insulation of a box on five of its faces is troublesome, not only from a point of economic view insofar as the design of these means insulation and their installation lead to an increase in the price cost of these roller shutters, but, in addition, these materials of insulation necessarily generate congestion extra inside the box. In addition, their efficiency is, at times, questionable insofar as there is rarely continuity between the insulation material at the level from one face to an adjacent face due to the inspection hatch that usually defines the internal wall of this box.

We also imagined having the box cantilevered towards the outside on the upper crossmember of the frame. In fact, such a solution requires the use of means of additional fasteners capable of supporting the weight of this box and the roller shutter it houses.

In addition, it should be remembered that he is in the habit of a person skilled in the art of placing the slot at the level of the underside for the passage of the deck in a plane which is tangent to the roller defined by this apron in the fully rolled up position. Also, in the situation previously mentioned, it is necessary to use taps, inserted between the amounts of the frame and backstage, incredibly thick important.

It is obvious that such typings alone lead to to a substantial increase in the cost price of these blocks window or roller shutter holder. In addition, these typings come, then, constitute a sort of covering of the doorway in the masonry, solution which, from an aesthetic point of view is rarely accepted.

Ultimately, the present invention, by going against habits in the matter, knew how to bring an answer in all interesting points to the above problems. In this sense the solution according to the invention avoids the disadvantages arising from a rolling shutter box projecting from the internal side to a house, but also responds to economic constraints currently posed by this type of block window or door plus roller shutter.

To this end, the invention relates to a door, window or analogous plus roller shutter, comprising the features of claim 1.

According to a first embodiment, the underside section extending below the upper crossmember of the frame is defined by said crosspiece.

Under these conditions, the other section of underside appears, advantageously, in the form of a planable section which can be cut to allow to adjust its width. Such a profile also comprises, preferably, at least one longitudinal edge provided with means fixing, in particular by clipping, defined able to cooperate with additional fixing means at the edge bottom of the outer wall of the box.

According to another embodiment, the sub-face is defined by a profile in the form of a board which can be cut lengthwise and comprising, at each of its longitudinal edges, fixing means, in particular by clipping, capable of cooperating with additional fixing means associated according to the case at the lower edge of the inner wall or the wall external of the box.

In particular, as shown in Figure 1, in the absence of roller shutters, the joinery defined by the frame D is applied on the masonry M on the entire periphery of the opening O in the latter and in particular up to its upper cross member T. It will be noted, in particular, that this upper cross member T defines, with respect to lintels L, a slight setback allowing the installation of a seal J. In particular, this seal J is produced through a suitable sealant and applied using a spray gun provided this effect.

Referring now to Figure 2, representing a window unit plus roller shutter, we can see that the offset from lintels L, is, here, defined by the outer wall E of the casing V of the rolling shutter. Also, for a opening O given in a masonry, we see that the frame dimensions D of the door or window are not the same depending on whether this door or window is intended for receive a rolling shutter. In fact, if we took a frame sleeping at the dimensions as shown in figure 1 and if we came to associate it with a roller shutter box V, the fitting the seal J should be done on the back of the lintel L, at a level not accessible to the carpenter.

In the end, through the setback that comes to define the box extending in front of the upper cross member of the sleeping frame, this problem is answered, in the sense that, for a specific opening, the door frame or window can have identical dimensions depending on whether it is intended to be fitted or not with a rolling shutter. It will come out even more through the description which follows.

In this regard, this description, relating to an exemplary embodiment will be better understood in the light of the attached drawings in which:

• Figure 3 corresponds to a schematic representation in section of the layout of a door or window assembly - rolling shutter at the masonry of a construction, this in a configuration according to the invention.
• Figure 4 is a schematic perspective view in section of the box alone;
• Figure 5 is a schematic perspective view and side view of the box as illustrated in Figure 4;
• Figure 6 is a schematic perspective view of an extension of support cheeks, traceable, in length.

As shown in Figure 3 of the accompanying drawings, the the present invention relates to a block assembly 1 window, door or the like 2 plus rolling shutter 3 therefore comprising a sleeping frame 4 capable of receiving an opening frame 5 shown approximately and in broken lines on this figure 3.

In addition, this sleeping frame 4 is surmounted by a box 6 of a shutter roller accommodating an apron winding mechanism (not shown) designed to come and deploy, outside the door or window 2, while being guided, laterally, by means backstage 7 reported directly or through a tapped on the uprights of said frame 4.

In this regard, it will be observed that this unit block 1, carries, window or the like 2 plus rolling shutter 3 is intended to come applied to the internal side 9 of a masonry wall 10, at right of an opening 11 in the latter, corresponding to opening a door, window or the like.

In fact, on this wall 10, internal side of the dwelling, is usually applied a lining wall 12 of which the thickness 13 depends on the quality of thermal insulation to get. Usually, we try to make sure that thickness 14, corresponding to the frame 4, plus the slide 7, and a possible tap inserted between this last and said frame 4, or substantially equal to this thickness 13 of the lining wall 12. It is understood, thus, that the presence of a typed, defined as a profile forming a spacer between the slide 7 and the frame dormant 4, will often depend on this thickness 13 of the wall of dubbing 12.

As for the box 6, it is defined, essentially, by a outer wall 15, an upper wall 16 and an inner wall 17, this usually defining a inspection hatch access to the interior of the box 6, the latter also comprising a soffit 18 at the level of which a slot 19 is provided for the passage of the apron. Note that behind the scenes 7 communicate with the interior of the box 6 through this slot 19.

As shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5 of the accompanying drawings, the peculiarity of the present invention lies in the fact that the box 6 is disposed on the upper cross member 20 of the sleeping frame 4 so that its internal wall 17 is located, substantially, in the extension of the plane 21; 21A passing through the internal side 22; 22A, as the case may be, of the sleeping frame 4 or of the opening frame 5.

As shown in Figure 3, the gap between the plane 21 corresponding to the internal side 22 of the sleeping frame 4 and that 21A passing through the internal side 22A of the opening frame 5 is relatively small and corresponds to the thickness of the rim 23 covering this chassis opening 5 relative to the frame sleeping 4.

To this it should be added that, according to the invention, the underside 18 is subdivided into two sub-face sections 18A, 18B delimiting, between them, the slot 19 for the passage of the apron. One 18A of these sections defines, at the lower end 24 of the outer wall 15, a return towards the sleeping frame 4, while the other section 18B extends at least above of the upper cross member 20 of this frame 4 for join one of its longitudinal edges, the wall internal 17 of the box 6 with which it is made integral.

In short, through this design, the passage slot 19 apron is no longer going to be on the immediate edge of the lower end 24 of the outer wall 15, like this was in the habit of those skilled in the art. This slot 19 can now be located anywhere at the level of this underside 18 to position itself at the right of slides 7 attached to the sleeping frame 4, directly or by typing, depending on a parameter variable corresponding to the thickness 13 of a lining wall 12.

According to a first embodiment not shown, the section underside 18B is defined by the upper cross member 20, itself of the sleeping frame 4. The other section of sub-face 18A is, then, defined by a plane profile, which can be cut, to allow to adjust its width 30A. In addition, it advantageously includes fixing means 27 at the level of at least one of its 26 longitudinal edges, allowing it to cooperate with means additional fixing 27 fitted to the lower end 24 of the outer wall 15.

According to another embodiment, the underside 18 is defined by a profile in the form of a board of standard width crosscut in its length and whose longitudinal edges 25, 26 are configured so as to cooperate, using fastening means 27, 28 suitable, in particular by clipping, with additional fixing means associated with the lower edge 29 of the inner wall 17 and at the end lower 24 of the outer wall 15.

Ultimately, as is evident from the description which above, the manufacturer of this type of carpentry may not have, in its manufacturing range, only one and the same plank-shaped profile intended to define an underside and designed to satisfy all sizes of boxes 6 from roller shutter. So when designing the whole block 1, it cuts this profile in the form of a board for give the section of sub-faces 18A, just like that of 18B, the width, respectively 30A, 30B, appropriate.

Note that the intersected edges 25 ₁ , 26 ₁ of these underside sections 18A, 18B and delimiting the slot 19, can receive a finishing profile and / or means making it possible to seal this box 6 at the height of this slot 19, this with respect to the apron. In particular, sealing brushes can be added at the level of these edges 25 ₁ , 26 ₁ .

Similarly and as visible more particularly in FIG. 4, on these edges 25 ₁ , 26 ₁ of the underside sections 18A, 18B can be added, at least partially, the tulips 31 intended to promote the engagement of the apron blades in the side runners 7.

According to another feature of the present invention, at level of the underside 18 is defined a recess 32 leading the box 6 to extend, in its part 33 located on the external side with respect to the frame 4, at least partially in front of the upper cross member 20 of this frame sleeping 4.

En somme et comme cela ressort bien de la figure 4, si l'entrée 36 des coulisses 7 devait se situer, sensiblement, au même niveau que le chant supérieur de la traverse 20 du cadre dormant 4, soit au niveau du tronçon de sous-faces 18B, il conviendrait de décaler, sensiblement, l'axe 37 de l'arbre d'enroulement du tablier du volet roulant. Aussi, la hauteur du caisson au-dessus de cette traverse supérieure 20 du cadre dormant 4 serait accrue.
• Le second avantage d'une conception selon l'invention, ressort de la figure 3 où l'on voit que pour une ouverture 11 de hauteur 11A donnée dans la paroi 10, les dimensions du cadre dormant 4 de la porte, fenêtre ou analogue 2, restent inchangées que ce cadre dormant soit ou non prévu pour être surmonté d'un volet roulant 3.

Such a downward projection of the box at the front of the sleeping frame 4 has a double advantage:

• It allows a gain in height of the box 6 insofar as in the particular arrangement and in accordance with the invention of this box 6 with respect to the sleeping frame 4, the slot 19 at the level of the underside 18 is not located, necessarily, in a plane tangent to the drum 34 formed by the roller shutter wound inside this box 6, but slightly below said drum 34. Also, it is necessary to have under this drum 34 and relative to the entry of the slides 7, a height 35 sufficient to allow the apron to join said slides 7. It should, in fact, be recalled that if the blades composing a roller shutter apron are articulated with respect to each other, this articulation does not allow , in reality, that a limited pivoting between two successive blades in the opposite direction to the pivoting which occurs between these blades during the winding of the deck in the box. In summary, and as is clear from FIG. 4, if the entry 36 of the slides 7 were to be located substantially at the same level as the upper edge of the cross-member 20 of the frame 4, ie at the level of the sub-section faces 18B, it would be advisable to offset, substantially, the axis 37 of the winding shaft of the roller shutter deck. Also, the height of the box above this upper cross member 20 of the frame 4 would be increased.
• The second advantage of a design according to the invention is shown in FIG. 3 where it can be seen that for an opening 11 of height 11A given in the wall 10, the dimensions of the frame 4 of the door, window or the like 2 , remain unchanged whether or not this sleeping frame is provided to be surmounted by a rolling shutter 3.

It is, indeed, recalled in the introductory part above, that the underside of a roller shutter box should be located at the same level, or even slightly below level 38 of the lintel 39 (or as shown here from its fallout) for allow the fitting of a seal 40 between the box 6 and masonry. In a traditional configuration shown in Figure 2, it is necessary to do so that the height of the frame D is at most equal to the height of the opening O in the wall M, while, in the absence of a roller shutter box and as visible in the figure 1, this height of the frame D must be slightly greater than this opening O.

With the two essential advantages exposed above, one will observe, in addition, that, always for an opening 11 of height 11A determined in a wall 10, the glass surface of an assembly window shutter block is more important compared to the glazed surface of a window-shutter block assembly designed according to the state of the art.

On this, we will notice again, that at its ends side, the box 6 receives support cheeks 41 of the shaft rolling shutter, or even if these cheeks supports 41 are not waterproof, lateral flanges coming, therefore, close this box.

Due to the offset 32 defined by the box at the height of its underside 18, said support cheeks 41 are shaped adjusted to the internal dimensions of this box 6 and comprise, they too, in their lower part 42, a step 43.

Advantageously, this recess 43 in the lower part 42 of a support cheek 41 results from a support of cheek support 44 (visible in FIG. 6) comprising fixing means 45 provided capable of cooperating with fastening means complementary 46 at the level of the lower edge 47 of said cheek support 41. This cheek support extension 44 is, preferably cut to length, which allows to easily adjust the positioning of the recess 43 by compared to that 32 at the level of the underside 18 of the box 6.

Substantially, the fixing means 45 are presented under form of hooks 45A provided capable of being inserted into openings 46A present at the level of the lower edge 47 of the cheek support 41 and defining the fixing means complementary 46.

In order to adjust the positioning of the slides 17 by relative to these support cheeks 41, fixing means 49 can liaise. In particular such means of attachment 49, as shown in Figure 5, can be present in the form of a metal blade 50 extending in a groove or channel 51 provided in the slide 7 where it is fixed. This blade 50 still comes to cooperate with the support cheek 41 or even the cheek extension support 44 of which it is, there again, made integral, either by clipping means, or using fasteners, such as screws, rivets or others.

As is apparent from the above description, the present invention responds advantageously to the state of the technical.

Claims (8)

1. Assembly of door or window or the like (2) plus roller shutter (3), comprising a sash-frame (4) capable of receiving a door- or window frame (5) and topped with a roller shutter box (6), receiving a mechanism for rolling up an apron designed capable of unfolding outside of the door or window (2), while being guided laterally by means of guiding rails (7) inserted, directly or through sealing strips, against the stiles (8) of said sash-frame (4), this box (6) being defined by an outer wall (15), an upper wall (16), an inner wall (17) and a soffit (18), at the level of the latter being provided for a slit (19) for the passing through of the apron, characterised in that said box (6) includes, at the level of its side ends, supporting side plates (41) and is arranged on the upper rail (20) of the sash-frame (4), so that its inner wall (17) is located substantially in the extension of the plane (21 ; 21A) passing through the inner side (22 ; 22A), as the case may be, of the sash-frame (4) or of the door- or window frame (5), that the soffit (18) is divided into two soffit sections (18A, 18B) delimiting, between them, the slit (19) for the passing through of the apron, one (18A) of these sections defining, at the lower end (24) of the outer wall (15), a bend towards the sash-frame (4), while the other section (18B) extends at least above the upper rail (20) of the sash-frame (4), in order to join, at the level of one (25) of its longitudinal edges, the inner wall (17) of the box (6) which it is made integral with, this soffit (18) also defining a set-back (32) causing the box (6) to extend, in its portion (33) located at the outer side with respect to the sash-frame (4), at least partly in front of the upper rail (20) if this sash-frame (4), while the supporting side plates (41) at the side ends of the box (6) are of a shape adjusted to the inner dimensions of the latter and include, in their lower portion (42), a set-back (43) located substantially in front of the set-back (32) defined at the level of the soffit (18) of said box (6).
2. Assembly of door or window or the like plus roller shutter according to claim 1, characterised in that the soffit section (18B) is defined by the upper rail (20) of the sash-frame (4), the other soffit section (18A) being in the form of a profile that can be cut, in order to allow adjusting its width, said profile including fastening means (27) at the level of at least one (26) of its longitudinal edges, in order to co-operate with complementary fastening means (27) the lower end (24) of the outer wall (15) is provided with.
3. Assembly of door or window or the like plus roller shutter according to claim 1, characterised in that the soffit (18) is defined by a profile in the shape of a plank that can be cut lengthwise and includes, at the level of each of its longitudinal edges (25, 26) fastening means (27), namely snapping-on means, capable of co-operating with complementary fastening means (28) associated, as the case may be, with the lower edge (29) of the inner wall (17) or the lower end (24) of the outer wall (15).
4. Assembly of door or window or the like plus roller shutter according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the edges, namely cut edges, (25₁, 26₁) of the soffit sections (18A, 18B), delimiting the slit (19) for the passing through of the apron, receive a finishing profile and/or means allowing to seal the box (6) at the level of this split (19), this with respect to said apron.

Assembly of door or window or the like plus roller shutter according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the set-back (43) in the lower portion (42) of a supporting side plate (41) is defined by a supporting side plate extension (44) including fastening means (45) designed capable of co-operating with complementary fastening means (46) at the level of the lower edge (47) of said supporting side plate (41).
6. Assembly of door or window or the like plus roller shutter according to claim 5, characterised in that a supporting side plate extension (44) is designed so that it can be cut lengthwise.
7. Assembly of door or window or the like plus roller shutter according to claim 5, characterised in that the fastening means (45) are in the form of hooks (45A) designed capable of inserting into openings (46A) present at the level of the lower edge (47) of the supporting side plate (41) and defining the fastening means (46).
8. Assembly of door or window or the like plus roller shutter according to any of claims 5 to 7, characterised in that it includes fastening means (49) ensuring the connection between the guiding rails (17) and the supporting side plates (41) or also the supporting side plate extensions (44) associated to the latter.
