Claims (9)
- A cover for floor coverings or the like, consisting of at least one base part and a cover part (2) which can be fastened thereto and which is configured as a profiled strip, with the base part (1) having a recess in which a leg (6) of the cover part (2) can be introduced, with the recess of the base part (1) being arranged as a slot (5) which is delimited by two substantially parallel side walls (3a, 4a) of legs (3, 4) and with at least one side wall (3a, 4a) of the slot (5) or a flank (6a) of the leg (6) of the cover part (2) which is insertable into the base part (1) having a saw-tooth-like profiled section (7, 7a), characterized in that the leg of the base part (1) which is opposite of the saw-tooth-like profiled section (7) in the used position or the leg (6) of the cover part (2) comprises integrally shaped latching elements which are arranged in the form of ribs (10) which project at an acute angle (α) from the side wall (3a, 4a) or the flank (6a), with the ribs (10) having a joint formed by a thindown in the material (11) in the region of the transition to the side wall (3a, 4a) or to the flank (6a).
- A cover as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that several latching positions are provided between the base part (1) and the cover part (2).
- A cover as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the material thindown (11) is between 40% and 60% of the cross-sectional surface area of the rib (10).
- A cover as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the angle (α) at which the ribs (10) project in the unloaded state from the side wall (3a, 4a) or the flank (6a) corresponds substantially to the angle of a surface area of the saw-tooth-like section (7, 7a).
- A cover as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the angle (α) at which the ribs (10) project from the side walls (3a, 4a) or the flanks (6a) is between 15° and 40°, preferably between 20° and 30°.
- A cover as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that several ribs (10) are arranged above each other.
- A cover as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it comprises several base parts (1) and in the used position the cover part (2) is held by said several base parts (1) which in the axial direction are spaced from each other.
- A cover as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 7, characterized in that several base parts (1) are mutually connected by fastening sections.
- A cover as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 8, characterized in that holding ribs (8, 9) are integrally formed on the cover part (2), which holding ribs rest laterally on the base part (1).
