Definitions
- the invention relates to a cover with a step and an end plate made of wood for a step according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a cover is known from DE-C2-38 03 077.
- the web protrudes horizontally from the vertically directed leg of the angle profile strip to the end plate, i. H. the angle between this web and the vertically directed leg is a right one. Therefore, the front plate is often not secured against undesirable horizontal displacements after being plugged onto the web despite a barb profile present on this web, in particular if the anti-slip strip is driven in between the back of the front plate and the front of the footplate.
- Figure 1 shows on the right two steps 1 of an old staircase in need of renovation.
- the stairs 1 are provided in the left part of Figure 1 with a new cover, each comprising a footboard 2, an end plate 3 and an adjusting board 4 in a manner known per se.
- the plates 2, 3 and the setting board 4 are preferably made of multi-layer glued hardwood with a sealed wooden surface.
- the tread plates 2 are arranged and glued in a known manner on a relining which is applied to the steps 1, a two-component adhesive preferably being used.
- the end plate 3 is removed on the top step 1, so that an angle profile bar 5 arranged below it is visible, which serves to fasten the end plate 3.
- one leg 6 of the angle profile strip 5 made of metal, in particular aluminum alloy, is fixed on the underside of the step plate 2 arranged, for example screwed or glued.
- a locking lip 7 directed upward on the horizontally directed leg 6 penetrates into a groove 8 provided on the underside of the tread plate 2, so that the angular profile strip 5 is positioned relative to the tread plate 2 in the horizontal direction.
- the web 10 can be provided with a barb profile 11.
- the end plate 3 has on its rear side a groove 12 which, in the installed state of the cover, runs obliquely downwards at the same acute angle ⁇ and opens on the rear side of the end plate 3.
- the end plate 3 can be slanted from above onto the web 10.
- An adhesive two-component adhesive, in particular in the groove 12, can be provided between the angle profile strip 5 and the rear of the end plate 3. It is sufficient to provide only one web 10. In other embodiments of the invention, more than one web can also be provided, which are arranged one above the other on the leg 9 of the angular profile strip 5 and in corresponding, also oblique penetrate grooves 12 on the face plate 3.
- the leg 9 of the angle profile strip 5 can, as shown in FIG. 2, be fastened to the step 1 with a screw 13.
- the leg 9 can also be glued to the step 1, so that the screw 13 is omitted.
- the horizontally directed leg 6 of the angle profile strip 5 is arranged on the tread plate 2 in such a way that it protrudes over the end face thereof, thereby creating a gap 14 between this end face and the rear side of the end plate 3, which has an anti-slip strip 15 made of elastomeric or other material.
- the anti-slip bar 15 has a substantially T-shaped cross-sectional shape. A foot 16 of the bar 15 can be glued into the gap 14. Because of the fixation of the tread plate given by the obliquely upward web 10 on the angle profile strip 5, the tread plate cannot move horizontally away from the step 1 when the anti-slip strip 5 is driven into the gap 14.
- the end plate 3 additionally has a groove 17 opening towards its rear, which opens at the same acute angle ⁇ as the groove 12 obliquely upwards.
- the additional groove 17 opens into the opening of the groove 12, so that the end plate 3 after rotation through 180 ° can also be plugged onto the web 10 with the groove 17.
- locking means 19 in the form of screws or the like can also be provided on the back of the end plate 3, the heads of which protrude beyond the back of the end plate 3 and are arranged such that they are pushed onto the web 10 after the end plate 3 has been pushed on Snap under the lower edge 21 of the web 9 and in this way lock the end plate 3 with the profile strip 5, so that the end plate can no longer move upwards at one end in an undesirable manner.
- the latching means 19 in the form of the screws shown are screwed into the end plate 3 from the rear at appropriate intervals before the end plate 3 is assembled.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cover with a step and an end plate made of wood for a step according to the preamble of
Such a cover is known from DE-C2-38 03 077. In this known cover, the web protrudes horizontally from the vertically directed leg of the angle profile strip to the end plate, i. H. the angle between this web and the vertically directed leg is a right one. Therefore, the front plate is often not secured against undesirable horizontal displacements after being plugged onto the web despite a barb profile present on this web, in particular if the anti-slip strip is driven in between the back of the front plate and the front of the footplate.
It is an object of the invention to improve a generic seal so that the end plate is better secured against horizontal displacement.
The object is achieved by the characterizing features of
Figur 1.

- Figure 2
- 2 shows a sectional view of a cover from FIG. 1.
Figure 1 shows on the right two
As FIG. 2 shows, one
The
The
As shown, the horizontally directed
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the
Sometimes it can happen, especially in the case of old, warped and deformed stairs, that the
