Description

The invention relates to a connection for predominantly semi-hollow and hollow profiles with the features listed in the preamble of claim 1. Such connections occur particularly in the construction of facades, metal glass walls and frames, and thus in an area in which many such constructions are known.

In a known connection according to DE-A-2 053 228, a releasable T-shaped connection between a hollow profile (support tube) and a base profile (standpipe) is described, which is provided with a connection piece (holder) fastened in the hollow profile. This connector has at least one plug pin (pin) which penetrates the wall of the base profile and has at least one groove in which one leg of a U-shaped wedge is held on the wall penetrated by the plug pin in the interior of the base profile. Such connections can not be mounted between fixed base profiles because of the connector attached in the semi-hollow or hollow profile. The above connecting parts interfere with the installation, so semi-hollow or hollow profiles and basic profiles must be installed alternately. The removal of a single half-timber or hollow profile is only possible by disassembling the basic profiles. The invention, as characterized in the claims, brings a connection device that meets all the varied demands that are placed on such a system and is very simple to manufacture and assemble.

The invention above all enables rung connections of horizontal and perpendicular metal profiles and loose butt connections of rectified profiles. It can be used wherever semi-hollow or hollow profiles have to be connected to other components. The connector inserted into the front end of the semi-hollow or hollow profile is guided in such a way that it can only be moved in the direction of the axis of the semi-hollow or hollow profile with a screw in an elongated hole until it is completely sunk. It has at least two fixed socket pins which engage in corresponding bores in the base profile and has a base surface which comes to rest on the base profile and is pulled in and fastened with connecting elements guided through the socket bolts. Furthermore, it has a screw channel for receiving a screw, with which the semi-hollow or hollow profile is attached to the connector.

A plastic plate is located between the front of the semi-hollow or hollow profile and the base profile, which is provided with openings in the base for pushing through the socket pins and with lips that close the joints between the two profiles, absorb tolerances and dampen noise. They can have a connection joint for receiving a sealing frame and or a sealing compound.

With (1) the semi-hollow or hollow profile is designated and with (2) the basic profile, that is the component to which the semi-hollow or hollow profile is connected.

The connecting piece (3) is inserted into the front end of the semi-hollow or hollow profile (1) to be connected. This can be a section of an extruded profile, a casting, or a forged part. It is designed in such a way that it can be moved in the profile (1) with as little play as possible, parallel to its longitudinal axis. The connector has essentially two base webs (4) and (5) which are parallel to the connection surface of the base profile (2). At least two socket pins (6) are firmly anchored in these two base webs. These bolts have holes (7) for threaded, flattened wedge or other pins. A web with screw channel (10) is attached to the web (4) in the direction of the axis of the profile (1). The screw (11) is screwed into this screw channel. In the appropriate position, an elongated hole (12) is punched or milled into the profile (1), through which the connecting piece (3) can be fixed in the profile (1) with screw (11). With the screw (11) the connector can be moved in profile (Fig. 1, and 5). The elongated hole (12) is so long that the connector (3) can be completely sunk into the profile (1). The outermost position corresponds to the play, or the sealing gap, which is desired when connecting to the basic profile (2), or that with the lip (23) of the Plastic plate (18) can be bridged.

Sie bleiben in ihrer Position fest, wofür auch die Stege (21) sorgen, die an der Innenfläche von Profil (1) anliegen (Fig.7, 8 und 9).Thanks to the possibility of sliding the connecting piece, the profile (1) can be retracted from any side between firmly fixed basic profiles (2), even if there is no play. The washer (13) can be made of plastic, which avoids sliding noises. It can be used with or without metal washers, spring washers etc. The holes (14) are to be made in the given position in the basic profile (2) and the plastic plates (18) are put over the holes (15) over the end face of the profile (1). Thanks to the cams (20), the plastic plates (18) adhere well to the profile. They remain fixed in their position, which is also ensured by the webs (21) which rest on the inner surface of profile (1) (Fig. 7, 8 and 9).

When the profile (1) is inserted between the basic profiles (2), the plastic plate (18) protects against damage to the profile surface.

If the profile (1) is brought into its installation position relative to profile (2), the connector (3) is pushed out with screw (11) (Fig. 3 and 4). The locking pins (6) center the profile (1) in their position by moving them into the holes (14). If the base web (5) lies against the wall of the basic profile, the pin (8) is driven out of its hole through the hole (15) until it is stuck. As a result, the base surface (16) and the plastic plate (18) are firmly drawn onto the connection surface of the profile (2) and are non-positively connected in this position.

The connection joint between profile (1) and base profile (2) is closed with the lips (21) of the plastic plate (18) or with a plastic seal inserted into the recess (17). Depending on the seal or Connection type, the profile (1) on the connector (3) can be moved to the desired distance, whereupon it is firmly connected to the connector (3) by tightening the screw (11).
