  • the sliders comprise two lateral wings interconnected at a base and defining, with an elongated central sole placed between the closure profiles, two convergent passageways for the complementary interlocking closure profiles.
  • the sliders facilitate the opening and closing of the bags.
  • the presence of a cursor is particularly appreciated by the elderly or visually impaired.
  • Sealing is nevertheless required in many applications, including but not limited to the bags used for freezing food products.
  • the means proposed in this context are very complex. They do not always allow a perfect tightness of the bags. In addition, they have the major disadvantage of not holding the cursor perfectly and consequently of causing for example a risk that the cursor is ingested by young children.
  • the document FR-A-2761956 discloses a bag having complementary slider-actuated closing profiles, which comprises means adapted to provide a seal between the inner walls of the bag, in the closed position thereof, in the area of the bag underlying the profiles at the level of the end thereof receiving the cursor in the closed position.
  • the document FR-A-2761956 describes different embodiments. According to a first embodiment, the means ensuring the seal are formed by a weld between the inner walls of the bag, in the area underlying the profiles at the end thereof receiving the slider in the closed position. According to a second embodiment, the means ensuring the seal are formed by a boss between the inner walls of the bag, in the area underlying the profiles at the end thereof receiving the slider in the closed position.
