Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein PTC-Polymerelement (1) als Teil eines elektrischen Bauteils mit einer neuen Struktur, bei denen Öffnungswinkel (a) auf beiden Seiten von Einschnürungen (2) in dem PTC-Polymermaterial zumindest 100° betragen. Dadurch läßt sich ein verbessertes Ansprechverhalten erzielen, und in Verbindung mit weiteren Merkmalen wird der Aufbau schneller, stromtragfähiger und spannungsfester PTC-Polymerelemente möglich.
