Definitions
- the invention relates to a device and a method for creating and maintaining a sidewall of a snow trough that rises in a curved shape.
- Snow blowers are used to clear larger amounts of snow. These have a milling auger on the one hand and a centrifugal wheel on the other. The milling screw shreds the snow and feeds it to the centrifugal wheel, from which it is thrown out over a chimney (see e.g. CH 575 515, FR 2.101.924, FR 1,372,434).
- Snow blowers are not only used in municipal areas (streets, parking lots, etc.) but also used to prepare ski and snowboard slopes. In any case the user is interested in the snow blower being as efficient as possible Has. If a commercial vehicle already exists, then its (often limited) Performance, the highest possible working speed can be achieved. If one anyway new commercial vehicle must be purchased, then has a lower power consumption the snow blower has the advantage that correspondingly in the performance of the commercial vehicle can be saved.
- Snowboarding is particularly popular with young people. sophisticated However, drivers are not satisfied with driving on ordinary ski slopes, but rather seek the challenge in specially prepared, channel-like snow troughs, which Half pipe are called.
- a snow trough has a flat cross section Middle part and two arched side walls. The radius of the side walls is in the range from 2.0 - 3.5 m.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device of the beginning Specify the type mentioned, which are the problems existing in the prior art avoids and is characterized by an increased efficiency.
- the device comprises a knife edge and one preceding this edge (in the direction of travel) Curved plow.
- the snow blower On the lower side of the archer is the snow blower arranged.
- the archer itself and its drive are designed so that the one to be removed Snow is driven down or in to the snow blower.
- the snow is first shredded by the archer and conveyed downwards or inwards and then from there with a snow blower in one freely selectable direction according to the requirements of the individual case.
- the snow is not direct in the invention brought to the outside, but first to the inside (where it actually cannot remain). From this location, the snow is now thrown away in a targeted manner.
- the target direction can be chosen quite freely by the user. This makes it possible e.g. at the Maintain the snow trough to fill holes or to raise the side wall.
- Another advantage of the invention is that the side wall is made as steep as desired can be.
- the device for creating half-pipe slopes does not only have one single auger, but over a plurality of milling elements, soft on one Arch (according to the side wall to be created) are arranged.
- the milling elements even have barrel-shaped envelopes to mill a continuous arc can.
- the device according to the invention becomes rigid out front of the snow groomer. This gives the driver more precise control about the direction of travel. He notices directly on the vehicle when the archer wants to break out and can therefore give countermeasures.
- an arc cutter is installed on the left and right of the vehicle, it can always be from below work upwards (i.e. uphill). It is therefore not necessary that Turning the vehicle at the top of the half pipe (which is often problematic). Furthermore In this way, both side walls of the half pipe slope can be removed from fresh snow at the same time be milled out. This procedure leads to a largely symmetrical one Burden. The unwanted torques that are sought, the whole device Turning out of the direction of travel is minimal.
- the drive is e.g. a hydraulic motor, which is in series with another hydraulic motor is switched to drive the snow blower.
- the arc milling machine is e.g. by multi-flight milling worms formed.
- the unit according to the invention does not require any Bucket chain. This results in a simplified construction.
- the knife edge is advantageously arranged in a surface inclined to the vertical plane.
- the knife edge is supposed to form a curve that increases with increasing height moved forward (i.e. from the vertical plane in the direction of travel). In the steep terrain (when driving uphill) this ensures that the snow masses can easily be driven inwards Snow blower glide.
- the knife edge preferably runs in one plane, which is inclined by a maximum of 30 ° (in particular 10 ° to 25 °) to the vertical.
- the arc milling machine can be pivotable about an axis in such a way that it is used for transport purposes can be placed inside over the snow blower.
- the swivel axis runs in Essentially in a horizontal plane (i.e. a plane parallel to the road). she can be turned slightly to the center of gravity in relation to the direction of travel Bring the arc cutter closer to the vehicle when folded.
- the arc milling machine according to the invention is preferably in the form of a separable unit existing snow blower trained. That it can be mounted on the side as required become.
- the centrifugal wheel is on one Line (i.e. on the same geometric axis) with the milling worm.
- the Snow flow In contrast to conventional snow blowers, the Snow flow must not be diverted by 90 ° for feeding to the centrifugal wheel. This has an advantageous effect on efficiency and the power consumed.
- the principle according to the invention is particularly suitable for clearing side walls and the creation of half pipe slopes.
- centrifugal wheel and the milling worm are mounted on a common shaft. Centrifugal wheel and Milling worm are therefore rigidly coupled to each other in terms of rotation.
- the drive can consequently, be structurally relatively simple.
- the device is preferably equipped with a hydraulic drive. This is powered by the commercial vehicle. Parts of a hydraulic can also be a mechanical To come to the train.
- the milling worm and the centrifugal wheel preferably run at different speeds.
- a gear can be provided that has a certain reduction generated.
- the lower rotation speed of the milling worm is for optimization efficiency is an advantage.
- it can be used in the municipal area (e.g. at the clearance of side walls) may be desirable for safety reasons, if the milling worm runs relatively slowly (the peripheral speed of the Centrifugal wheel must not be less than a specified minimum size).
- the reduction ratio is at least 1: 2, preferably about 1: 4.
- the arc milling machine according to the invention does not require any particularly large dead weight to ensure directional stability. It is rigid with the vehicle connected and consequently has the appropriate leadership. It is therefore sought that detachable unit as easy to build as possible. It has been shown that it is possible is to get by with around one eighth of the dead weight of a known device.
- FIG. 5a, b show a snow blower with a milling auger 18 (also called milling reel) and a centrifugal wheel 19 (ejection fan), which one have common axis of rotation 21. That the centrifugal wheel 19 is on a line behind the milling screw 18 arranged ("inline"). The milled from the auger 18 and shredded snow is thus pushed directly into the centrifugal wheel 19 without being deflected. There it is detected and ejected through the chimney 22 at high speed.
- a milling auger 18 also called milling reel
- a centrifugal wheel 19 ejection fan
- the shaft 23 is only supported on one side, the snow blower is on outer end of the milling screw 18 open.
- An input gear 20 is provided on the side of the centrifugal wheel 19.
- act as a simple bevel gear which has a propeller shaft a commercial vehicle carrying the snow blower is driven.
- the centrifugal wheel 19 is in one (in the radial direction) closed housing 24 housed. That in the axial area of the centrifugal wheel 19 no snow can be removed. It is only cleared in the area of Milling auger 18.
- the snow blower described is therefore intended for applications where only one side of a lane or a slope is cleared or prepared must become. As an example, the side wall clearance in the communal area and that Creating and maintaining called half pipe slopes.
- the peripheral speed of the centrifugal wheel 19 is due to the desired throwing distance certainly. Typically it is e.g. at 20 - 35 m / s.
- this angular velocity quite high.
- the slope of the screw is preferred compared to conventional Snow blower reduced.
- Milling auger runs under the spinning wheel.
- the gear construction shown schematically in FIG. 6 may be provided.
- Milling worm 25 and centrifugal wheel 26 are still in a row on a common Rotation axis 21 arranged, but have independent drive shafts 27, 28.
- the drive shaft 28 of the centrifugal wheel 26 e.g. around a hollow shaft.
- the drive shaft 27 is coaxial Milling auger stored.
- a first bearing 29 is between the drive shafts 27, 28 and a second bearing 30 is - for mounting the centrifugal wheel 26 - between the drive shaft 28 and the centrifugal wheel 28.
- Drive shaft 28 and centrifugal wheel 26 are rigidly connected to one another by connecting pieces 31.
- the drive shafts 27, 28 are e.g. through a known reduction gear in a ratio of 1: 4 coupled. That the ratios of the size of the gears 32, 34 on the one hand and the gears 33, 35 on the other hand is selected so that the milling worm 25 (on whose drive shaft 27 the gear 32 is seated) one opposite the centrifugal wheel 16 has a reduced angular velocity by a factor of 4.
- the snow blower can also be driven hydraulically instead of mechanically.
- a snow blower 1 is fixed to the front of a snow groomer (not shown) assembled. It prepares the flat roadway 3, which forms the bottom of the half pipe. On the left side in the present example, an arc cutter 2 is attached. You groomed the cross-sectionally curved side wall 4 of the half pipe. The radius of curvature is e.g. 3 m.
- the archer 2 works the snow from the side inwards, i.e. down to the snow blower 1.
- the latter is equipped with two blowers 5.1, 5.2, which eject the snow through the chimneys 6.1, 6.2.
- the fireplaces 6.1, 6.2 have adjustable, flexible shotguns 7.1, 7.2, which are in the desired direction can be rotated and bent.
- the snow blower 1 is e.g. in a manner known per se with a (in the figures not shown) milling auger equipped.
- the archer 2 has four synchronously running in the present example Milling augers 8.1 to 8.4.
- the enveloping surface of each auger 8.1 to 8.4 is barrel-shaped. Furthermore, the axes of rotation of the milling worms 8.1 to 8.4 not on a straight line, but enclose a certain angle.
- the barrel-shaped curvature of the milling augers 8.1 to 8.4 and the angles mentioned are so chosen that a continuous circular arc is formed in the view according to FIG. 1.
- the enveloping surfaces of the neighboring milling augers 8.1 / 8.2 or 8.2 / 8.3 partially overlap each other. This allows the gap between minimized the milling augers on the lower side of the arc milling machine (i.e. with knife 9) become.
- the milling augers 8.1 to 8.4 are located under a cover 10 (in cross section, for example, angular) on the underside of this Cover 10, a knife 9 is attached. This is (regarding the direction of travel) behind the milling augers 8.1 to 8.4 and forms with its knife edge 11 (which is preferably finely corrugated or serrated) the side wall 4.
- the waves or teeth of the Knife edge 11 press a rib / groove pattern into the snow, resulting in a qualitative high-quality half pipe track.
- FIG. 4 shows the milling worm 8.4 of the arc milling machine 2 in cross section. It deals according to a particularly preferred embodiment is an open three-course Slug. That there are three spiral milling knives 12.1, 12.2, 12.3, which are supported by several spokes 13.1, 13.2, 13.3. The milling knives 12.1, 12.2, 12.3 can be provided with teeth.
- the milling augers 8.1 to 8.4 are mechanically connected to each other (e.g. by universal joints) coupled.
- the innermost milling screw 8.4 is by a (not shown in the figures) Hydraulic motor driven. This hydraulic motor is e.g. in series with the Hydraulic drive of the snow blower 1 switched and is from the snow groomer actuated.
- the direction of rotation of the augers 8.1 to 8.4 and the direction of rotation of the hydraulic motor are chosen according to the invention so that the snow tends to inward Snow blower 1 is promoted.
- the outermost milling worm 8.1 may can be omitted. That the bow machined by the augers does not need to match that of the Cover knife edge 11. Consequently, there can be a segment 14 on the outside of the Give the router 2, which only works with a knife. Since the snow in the inventive Archer 2 always down (and not as in the prior art is promoted, the snow scraped off in segment 14 can anyway fall down into the auger 8.2, which then takes it to the snow blower.
- the archer 2 is advantageously inclined forward. That between the plane of the carriageway 3 and the plane in which the knife edge 11 runs, there is an angle ⁇ 90 °.
- the angle ⁇ shown in Fig. 3 is e.g. 20 °. This has the advantage that the archer 2 never goes to the rear when climbing steep slopes is inclined against the vehicle. The snow always flows down well.
- the milling augers 8.1 to 8.4 are in the direction of travel seen in front of the snow blower 1. That the snow is falling into the front Snow blower 1 closed at the side.
- the arc milling machine is by means of a hydraulic cylinder 15 (see FIG. 2) can be folded in about a pivot axis 16.
- the arc cutter 2 When folded, the arc cutter 2 is located directly above the snow blower 1. Because the direction of the pivot axis 16 to the direction of travel 17th is rotated by a small angle ⁇ > 0, the center of gravity of the collapsed Archer 2 closer to the vehicle.
- the angle ⁇ is matched to the inclination ⁇ . He is in the order of 10 ° to 20 °.
- the arc milling machine 2 is advantageously designed in the manner of an independent unit, which with quick-release fasteners on the side of a conventional snow blower can be attached.
- Fig. 7 represents a combination of the Snow blower with the arc cutter just described. It is about a coherent functional unit, on the front frame 38 of a caterpillar 39 is mounted. It has a lower weight than that shown in FIG. 1 Arrangement with the conventional snow blower.
- the invention is not based on the details of the described embodiment is limited.
- the number and design of the milling augers the needs are coordinated, whereby - as already mentioned - the milling augers not necessarily to the extreme edge of the arc cutter (i.e. to the outer end of the Knife edge) must run. Otherwise, instead of milling screws, others can Aggregates occur which are used to crush or break hardened snow cover are suitable.
- the snow blower of the device according to the invention specified in the preferred exemplary embodiment is concerned is an aggregate that first shreds the snow and then throws it away in a targeted manner. It usually includes a milling screw and a blower with an ejection chimney In principle, a blower with an ejection chimney is sufficient for carrying out the invention.
- the Milling auger is optional. It allows the clearing or processing of the road.
- the inventive method Device is attached to the front of the vehicle.
- the elbow mill is mounted on the rear of the snow groomer.
- the slope of the archer can also be used to curl the sidewall to make it elliptical instead of circular. It is also not excluded that the inclination (within certain limits) can be set by the user as desired can. For the rest, it is easy to follow the curvature of the side wall Changing knives to change.
- the invention provides an efficient, structurally simple arc milling machine for production of half pipe slopes.
