Description
The invention relates to a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine with a device for returning lubricating oil from the interior of the cylinder head after Genus of the main claim.
A generic cylinder head is for example from DE 40 07 939 C1 known. There is a separate manifold on the outside of this cylinder head attached, the several arranged in the cylinder head and over the Longitudinal distribution of distributed bores is connected to the interior. About these Bores will accumulate in the interior of the cylinder head, at the Lubricating oil escaping into the manifold from various bearing points via a pump and a return line with the oil reservoir of the Internal combustion engine is connected. With such cylinder heads, it can in Depending on the installation position of the internal combustion engine, that does not happen the oil accumulating in the cylinder head is extracted under all operating conditions becomes. There is a risk that the lubricant supply to the Internal combustion engine may not have sufficient oil quantities from the circuit has available. Such a cylinder head, for example, in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle installed, accumulates either when accelerating or Decelerate the oil on the side of the cylinder head facing away from the pump. As a result, the manifold may not be completely filled with oil, so that via the connections facing the pump to the interior of the Air is sucked into the cylinder head and the oil in the cylinder head is not extracted becomes. If such a cylinder head is installed transversely to the direction of travel, can for example, when cornering corresponding air sucked in Oil located in the cylinder head cannot be extracted.
It is therefore the object of the invention, a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine with a device for returning lubricating oil from the interior improve that even with strong accelerations / decelerations or at When cornering, the oil collected in the interior of the cylinder head is sucked out and can be returned to the oil reservoir.
This object is achieved with the characterizing features of Main claim solved. By arranging a second manifold on Cylinder head, which is formed separately from the first manifold and from which a manifold in the front or rear area of the cylinder head with the Interior is connected, while the other in the opposite rear or front area of the cylinder head with its interior can also which is almost completely in an end region of the Cylinder head accumulating oil can be sucked out, because at least at any time one of the two manifolds sets an oil level that - without sucking in air from the oil pump can be sucked off. With such training Cylinder head, it is possible to collect the oil in the interior despite Fluctuations in the oil level due to acceleration or cornering Vacuum safely without moving parts such as valves Check valves or similar components are required.
A simple ducting from the manifolds to the respective suction connection the oil pump can be ensured in an advantageous manner if both Bus lines are arranged on the same long side of the cylinder head.
A particularly safe oil extraction is advantageously ensured if the two manifolds at their ends facing away from the suction point are connected. Collects in such a cylinder head due to Accelerations the oil in the cylinder head essentially in the range this connection point, the oil in the first manifold can also be sucked off via the connection of the two manifolds.
The manifolds can be particularly advantageous and inexpensive Manufacture if these are cast in with cast components of the cylinder head be, so that neither external lines, screw connections with appropriate Leakage problems or long holes with the corresponding effort in the Manufacturing are needed.
One more horizontal even with almost constant driving and in the direction of travel Arrangement of the cylinder head longitudinal axis safe oil extraction is guaranteed if the first manifold also in a central area of the cylinder head whose interior is connected.
It is also advantageous if the two manifolds are in different Components of the cylinder head are formed, with a particularly simple Connection of the two manifolds via a common flange surface can be done.
Further advantages and advantageous developments of the invention result from the Subclaims and the description.

Teilraum 13 getrennt. Diese Teilräume 12 und 13 werden jeweils durch die
Lagerstühle 14 in Längsrichtung unterteilt.
The cylinder head shown in Figures 1 to 5 is not limited to this
Exemplary embodiment as one of the two cylinder heads of a 6-cylinder boxer engine
shown, which is installed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. This cylinder head
is composed of three housing components, a cylinder head
The two
Nockenwellen bzw. Tassenstößel austretende Öl in den Teilräumen 12 bzw. 13 an.
During operation of the internal combustion engine, this accumulates at the bearings of the
