Abstract

Der Dieselmotor, mit Zylinderlaufbuchse (21), in welcher sich der Kolben (20) bewegt, weist einen Schieber (24) auf, welcher an das untere Ende der Zylinderlaufbuchse (21) angrenzt, und der mit der Zylinderlaufbuchse (21) ein Schieberventil bildet. Der Schieber (24) bewegt sich mit der Bewegung des Kolbens (20), im Bereich des unteren Totpunktes, von der Zylinderlaufbuchse (21) weg, wobei sich zwischen Zylinderlaufbuchse (21) und Schieber (24) eine ringartige Öffnung, der Spülspalt (210), für das Zuführen von Spülluft zum Kolbenraum (22) bildet. Der Spülspalt (210) schliesst sich wieder, wenn sich der Kolben (20) in Richtung zum oberen Umkehrpunkt hin bewegt. Diese neuartige Konstruktion des Dieselmotors eignet sich besonders für langsamlaufende, langhubige Zweitakt-Grossdieselmotoren mit Längsspülung und Kreuzkopf, wie sie bei Schiffen und für Kraftwerke zur Stromerzeugung verwendet werden. Bei der neuen Konstruktion kann die Stopfbüchsendichtung (12) zum Kurbelgehäuse entfallen, was eine niedrigere Bauweise des Motors ermöglicht.
