- This device includes a variety of Collating elements that circulate on a continuous path and the Move one after the other under a stack of sheet material.
- the stack of sheet material are in bottomless magazines.
- the gathering elements are bands assigned, which support the sheet material stacks in the bottomless magazines.
- the Bands move with the gathering elements and capture them one after the other Stack of sheet material.
- the upper runs of the tapes move in opposite directions with respect to the collating elements and with the same Speed like the collators so that the top runs of the tapes are stationary relative to the stacks of sheet material.
- the sheet material gathering elements are also feed mechanisms and pick-up stations assigned. When a collator is under a stack of sheet material the sheet is moved from the sheet material stack to the sheet by a feed mechanism Recording station moves.
- a collating system for sheet-shaped comprises Products collection bags that move horizontally along a path, one Conveyor moving the arcuate products in a shingled stream across the path moves, a deflecting element which is arranged on the collecting pockets and activated can be used to deflect the leading edges of arcuate products.
- the solution according to the present invention has a number of advantages. Since the sheet-like products can be fed in a scaled or overlapped form a large part of the overlap can be used as a time cycle in which the Deflectors take their activated position before they hit a particular one Leading edge part of one to be fed into a predetermined collecting pocket deflect the arcuate product.
- the overlapped route allows the Deflecting elements to remain in their activated position for a sufficient time, so that the leading edge part of the picked product is sufficiently far into the respective one Collection bag is introduced.
- the feed stations have a section that is parallel to the direction of movement the collection pockets extends and thus the feed area of a series of Covers collecting bags at the same time.

- the deflecting element is on a Actuating shaft attached and takes one parked or one employed Position. In its parked position, the deflection element closes a gap Collection bag so that the arcuate product moves on the conveyor plane.
- the deflector is in the employed position, i. H. if it is the Blocked conveyor level, the respective front edge of an arcuate product is in deflected a respective inlet portion of a collection bag.
- Another Embodiment of the present invention enables the deflecting element to be a Sliding movement on a support that is carried out by a modified actuating shaft is activated, the actuating shaft of a separate drive or Control cam arrangement is driven.
- the deflecting element is a roller-shaped element that when in contact with circumferential bands on a collecting pocket forms a pressure gap. If the The leading edge part of a product is caught by the pressure gap, that moves roller-shaped deflection element in a direction in which the entry of the respective Leading edge part of the product into the gap of an inlet portion of a collection bag he follows.
- a method for collating sheet products in accordance with the present invention comprises the following steps: The feeding of arcuate products in a shingled stream on a conveyor plane, the conveyor plane of the arcuate products extending parallel to the transport direction of the collecting pockets, the selective movement of the deflection elements in the conveyor plane, and the deflection of the leading edge part of the arcuate product into a respective collecting pocket.
- This method can include a further step, namely the movement of the Deflection elements in the conveyor plane before corresponding to a respective leading edge the overlapped distance or the overlapped distance between the arcuate Products in the conveyed shingled stream.
- Fig. 1 shows a collation system 1 with a plurality of collecting bags 7, which a transport path are arranged movably and along the path into a Move towards 2.
- the collecting bags 7 are, for example, in an endless path arranged and move around bevel gears 3 of the collation system 1, the are stored in a central frame 6.
- the Different locations along the path are arched Products 4 selectively fed to the collecting bags 7.
- the collecting bags 7 are each provided with pocket frames 8, in which a belt drive shaft 11 and Actuating shaft 12 are arranged.
- the tape drive shaft 11 drives a variety of Bands 9 in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the collecting pockets 7 Direction along their path in such a way that the upper surface of the Bands 9 is substantially motionless as disclosed in US 4,998,086.
- Deflection elements 13 which are only shown schematically in Fig. 1, can be in a employed position 13.2 and in a parked position 13.1, as in Fig. 2 can be seen.
