Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Schärfen von Schneidwerkzeugen, wie Messer, Scheren , mit einem Schleif- oder Stahlstück, mit einem als durchzugreifenden Handgriff ausgebildeten und mit einer Aufstell- bzw. Auflagefläche an der Unterseite versehenen, bügelförmigen Körper, der an der Vorderseite zur Aufnahme des Schleif- oder Stahlstückes einen nach vorne abstehenden Ansatz aufweist.
Eine derartige Vorrichtung ist aus der US-A-5,404,679 bekannt.
Bei der bekannten Vorrichtung handelt es sich um eine tragbare Schärfvorrichtung für Messer od. dgl., die eine Grundplatte besitzt, die auf einer Oberfläche aufgesetzt werden kann und die mit einem Handgriff verbunden ist. Von dem Handgriff aus steht ein Ansatz nach vorne hervor, an dem verschiedene Schärfabschnitte mit keilförmigen Anlageflächen vorgesehen sind, zwischen denen ein Schärfabschnitt angeordnet ist. Ein zu schärfender Gegenstand, wie etwa ein Messer oder eine Schere kann zwischen der keilförmigen Anlagefläche und dem Schärfabschnitt durchgezogen werden und so geschärft werden.
Mit einer derartigen Vorrichtung ist lediglich ein Schärfen von Messern oder Scheren möglich, während eine Abziehmöglichkeit mittels einer Keramik nicht vorgesehen ist.
Aus der US-A-5,477,753 ist ferner eine Klingenschärfvorrichtung mit einem auf einer Unterlage aufstellbaren Grundkörper bekannt, aus dem nach Aufklappen eines Deckels zwei Keramikstäbe entnommen und in einer winkligen Position zueinander in Öffnungen an dem Grundkörper eingesteckt und so fixiert werden können. Die beiden Keramikstäbe können so zum Schärfen oder Abziehen etwa von Messern od. dgl. verwendet werden.
Gegenüber diesem Stand der Technik liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Vorrichtung zum Schärfen von Schneidwerkzeugen zu schaffen, die einerseits ein Schärfen und andererseits ein Abziehen von Schneidwerkzeugen ermöglicht und darüber hinaus eine möglichst breite Anwendungsmöglichkeit aufweist.
Diese Aufgabe wird bei einer Vorrichtung gemäß der eingangs genannten Art dadurch gelöst, daß unter dem Ansatz ein nach vorne längsverschiebbarer Keramikstab angeordnet ist.
Durch den unter dem Ansatz vorgesehenen, längsverschiebbaren Keramikstab wird hierbei die Möglichkeit eröffnet, einen Ausgleich der mit dem Schleif- oder Stahlstück geschärften Schneide des Schneidwerkzeuges vorzunehmen.
Gemäß einer besonderen Ausbildung kann der Ansatz zur Aufnahme des Schleif- oder Stahlstückes schräg nach oben im Winkel von ca. 10° ausgebildet sein. Auf diese Weise ist eine besonders leichte Handhabung der Vorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung möglich.
Der Keramikstab kann an einem Kunststoffteil befestigt sein, das in einer Aussparung im Unterteil des bügelförmigen Körpers verschiebbar angeordnet ist.
Schließlich kann der Ansatz zur Aufnahme des Schleif- oder Stahlstückes im unteren Bereich eine Aussparung aufweisen, die durch eine auf den bügelförmigen Körper aufschiebbare Kappe abgedeckt werden kann. Die Kappe kann die gleiche Fläche wie der bügelförmige Körper an der Unterseite aufweisen. Damit wird nicht nur der Keramikstab geschützt, sondern die Auflage des bügelförmigen Körpers wird damit verbessert.
Anhand der Zeichnungen soll am Beispiel einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform die Vorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung näher erläutert werden.

    • Wie sich aus den Figuren der Zeichnungen ergibt, besteht die Vorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung aus einem als Handgriff ausgebildeten, bügelförmigen Körper 1, der zum Festhalten eine Durchgreiföffnung 2 aufweist. Der Körper 1 weist an seiner Unterseite eine Aufstell- bzw. Auflagefläche 3 auf, wodurch der Körper fest auf eine stabile Unterlage, beispielsweise auf einen Tisch, aufgestellt werden kann.
    An der Vorderseite weist der bügelförmige Körper 1 einen nach vorne stehenden Ansatz 4 auf, in den ein Kunststoffteil 5 eingesetzt ist, in dem sich das Schleif- oder Stahlstück 6 befindet. Der Ansatz 4 verläuft schräg nach oben, so daß die Fläche des Schleif- oder Stahlstückes 6 mit der Grundfläche 3 einen Winkel von ca. 10° bildet.
    An der Unterseite weist der Ansatz 4 eine Aussparung 7 auf, in der ein Keramikstab 8 mit kreisrundem Querschnitt längsverschieblich angeordnet ist. Dieser Keramikstab dient zum Ausgleichen von Wellen in dem geschliffenen Schneidwerkzeug. Der Keramikstab 8 ist zu diesem Zweck mit einem Kunststoffteil 9 verbunden, das gleitend im Unterteil des bügelförmigen Körpers angeordnet ist. Zur Längsverschieblichkeit ist das Kunststoffteil 9 mit einem Ansatz 10 versehen, der in einem Schlitz 11 im bügelförmigen Körper 1 herausragt und mit den Fingern verschoben werden kann.
    Die Vorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung weist den wesentlichen Vorteil auf, daß der bügelförmige Körper 1 auf eine feste Unterlage, beispielsweise auf einen Tisch, gestellt und mit einer Hand festgehalten werden kann. Mit der anderen Hand kann dann das zu schärfende Schneidwerkzeug über das Schleif- oder Stahlstück 6 gezogen werden.
    Zum Schutz des Keramikstabes 8 kann an der Unterseite des Ansatzes 4 eine Abdeckkappe 12 aufgeschoben werden.

    Claims (3)

    1. Vorrichtung zum Schärfen von Schneidwerkzeugen, wie Messer, Scheren, mit einem Schleif- oder Stahlstück, mit einem als durchzugreifenden Handgriff (2) ausgebildeten und mit einer Aufstell- bzw. Auflagefläche (3) an der Unterseite versehenen, bügelförmigen Körper (1), der an der Vorderseite zur Aufnahme des Schleif- oder Stahlstükkes (6) einen nach vorne abstehenden Ansatz (4) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß unter dem Ansatz (4) ein nach vorne längsverschiebbarer Keramikstab (8) angeordnet ist.
    2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Ansatz (4) schräg nach oben im Winkel von 10° ausgebildet ist, in dem das Schleif- oder Stahlstück (6) innerhalb eines Kunststoffteils (5) befestigt ist.
    3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Keramikstab (8) in einem Kunststoffteil (9) befestigt ist, das mit einem Ansatz (10) im Unterteil des bügelförmigen Körpers (1) verschiebbar angeordnet ist.
