Definitions
- the invention relates to a hearing aid system for binaural Supply with two hearing aids, with microphones, signal processing units, Earphones and controls, being A signal exchange is provided between the hearing aids is.
- the invention further relates to a method for operating a such hearing aid system.
- a hearing aid system of this type is known from DE 23 60 342 C2 known.
- each a microphone, a handset and a signal processing unit have one of the hearing aids the handset exchanged for an induction coil.
- the other of the two hearing aids is also an induction coil provided for reception with the auditory coil of the first hearing aid. This means that there is between the two hearing aids the hearing aid system a wireless connection to Exchange of signals.
- DE 43 27 901 C1 describes a hearing aid system with two hearing aids and a control unit that is spatially separate from these known. Between the hearing aids and the control unit there is a wireless connection for the exchange of Audio signals.
- a hearing aid device is described in DE 19 38 381 A1, where the volume control by means of a wireless remote control.
- Known hearing aid systems with two hearing aids in which a signal exchange between the two hearing aids is provided has the disadvantage that it is for customization of the hearing aid system, for example with regard to the Volume control or the choice of hearing program, a separate one Operation of both hearing aids is required. Will one Remote control used on both hearing aids alike works, it is disadvantageous because it is always carried must become.
- the hearing aids also include the known hearing aid systems complex signal processing units.
- the object of the present invention is a hearing aid system of the type mentioned above with regard to his hearing aids to simplify and a procedure for operating a to specify such hearing aid system.
- this object is achieved in that at least one control element to adapt one Hearing aid device generates control signals to the second hearing aid device are transferable and a simultaneous adaptation of the both hearing aids through these control signals and the hearing aid's own Signal processing units is provided. According to the invention, this becomes a significant simplification in the operation and / or equipment of the hearing aid system reached.
- Control elements for adapting the one hearing aid device Control signals transmitted to the second hearing aid and the two hearing aids are through these control signals and the hearing aid's own signal processing units simultaneously customizable.
- Known controls for hearing aids are for example; On-off switch, input selector switch for microphone or audio coil, gain control, sound panel, microphone switch or program selector.
- the controls allow the adaptation of the hearing aids to the need. They can be incremental (e.g. switches) or continuous (e.g. actuator resistances).
- the invention realizes the function of a remote control, but avoids their disadvantages, since the transmitter unit with im Hearing aid is integrated.
- the invention has the advantage that no separate remote control has to be carried. For It is sufficient to adapt the two hearing aids to one of the two To operate hearing aids. This is particularly the case with Switching to another hearing program is an advantage. With conventional Hearing aid systems it can happen that one of the both devices are operated in the wrong hearing program. Especially This has a disadvantageous effect if, e.g. the one Device with directional microphone and the other operated omnidirectionally becomes. This could result in total disorientation.
- a hearing aid system according to the invention enables simultaneous Switching over both devices and thus avoids the disadvantages conventional solutions.
- the hearing aid system comprises two hearing aids regarding their controls match and differ from conventional hearing aids distinguish in that at least one of the controls a transmission of the by pressing generated control signals to the other hearing aid.
- Another variant of the invention provides the controls to be divided at least partially between the two hearing aids. The result of this is that not every type of Controls are present on each of the hearing aids and overall less space required for the attachment of Controls are required, leaving the remaining Controls are designed accordingly larger or, if unchanged Size of the controls, the housing of the hearing aids can be reduced accordingly.
- a particularly preferred variant of the invention provides that a volume control is available for both hearing aids is no signal exchange when actuated comes according to the invention, so that the gain can be set separately for both hearing aids, what a different hearing loss of the two ears one Hearing aid wearer takes into account.
- Other controls such as the input selector switch for microphone or Hearing coil, tone control or program selector switch distributed to both hearing aids according to the invention. The Operation of one of the latter controls leads thus for a simultaneous adaptation of both hearing aids.
- Another embodiment of the invention provides all Attach controls to only one of the two hearing aids, which leads to a very inexpensive variant and a very small one for the hearing aid without controls Design enables.
- Another variant of the hearing aid system according to the invention provides that at least some of the controls There is a choice of whether these controls are activated the other hearing aid is adapted.
- Such settings can, for example, at Programming of the hearing aid system can be set. This increases the number of possible uses for hearing aid systems according to the invention while reducing the Device variants.
- one and the same hearing aid with a hearing aid wearer hearing loss equally pronounced on both sides the volume control only on one of the two Hearing aid wants to change and this change then affects both hearing aids equally.
- the same hearing aid can also be used for one Hearing aid wearers with varying degrees of hearing loss be used, the volume of both devices individually wishes to adjust.
- a hearing aid system to simplify its hearing aids is further characterized in that only one of the two Hearing aid devices has means for signal processing, which from the microphone of this hearing aid and from the microphone of the second hearing aid received and to the first hearing aid Process transmitted audio signals, and being processed Audio signals to your own listener or after a transmission processed audio signals to the second hearing aid these can be fed to the listener of the second hearing aid device are.
- the invention are in such a hearing aid system Hearing aids with simplified signal processing units usable.
- the processing of the microphones of both hearing aids recorded audio signals in only one signal processing unit offers one of the two in addition to the smaller size Hearing aids have other advantages. So let through the joint processing of both hearing aids audio signals recorded spatial hearing and suppression of noise significantly improve. About that is also due to the elimination of a signal processing unit Cost savings are also possible in one of the hearing aids.
- the outer structure of the hearing aid in question can correspondingly smaller and lighter and also run the power consumption decreases, which increases the capacity and thus the Size of the voltage source can be adjusted accordingly.
- the received by the respective microphones of the hearing aids Audio signals first have a signal preprocessing before be supplied to a common signal processing unit.
- This signal preprocessing includes, for example AD conversion with bandpass filtering.
- This signal post-processing includes, for example, a DA conversion and Reinforcement.
- the desire for the smallest possible construction of the hearing aids can best be realized according to the invention by that the majority of the controls of the hearing aid system is not arranged on the hearing aid, which the means for signal processing from both microphones received audio signals. Because with this hearing aid the remaining signal processing unit opposite the signal processing unit of the other hearing aid is much smaller and less powerful, less space is required for this. As a further consequence the energy consumption of this hearing aid is also significant reduced, whereby the voltage source is dimensioned correspondingly smaller can be. These effects increase the Space required for the larger number of controls on this Hearing aid compensated. Overall, the Reduce the size of both hearing aids.
- the invention is particularly simple and inexpensive the exchange of audio and / or control signals via on means of transmission for each of the hearing aids and / or receiving these signals in connection with one each Telephone coil, as used in conventional hearing aids for inductive Magnetic useful signals already recorded is. This means that the expense of additional components Execution of the invention limited to a minimum.
