Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of Packagings. It relates to a method for producing a cup-shaped Combination packaging container, which is an internal one cup-shaped, downward tapering plastic inner part and a surrounding the plastic inner part, adjacent, jacket-like outer part includes.
- Combination packaging containers of the type mentioned are from earlier Patents of the applicant, EP-B1-0 102 522 or EP-B1-0 408 515, known.
- Stackable combination packaging containers in which a cup-shaped, usually deep-drawn plastic inner part from a film from an outer part made of a different material, e.g.
- Paper, cardboard or other plastic, coated have different advantages: First, through the use of two different materials of the container can be optimally adapted to the respective application. For example, it is a frozen or hot one Package contents are an advantage, an outer part made of one material to use, which has a thermally insulating effect. On the other hand the use of a separate outer part has the advantage that the outer part is separated from the container with pictures, text, Advertising, instructions for use or the like can be printed, which enables a significantly better print quality. Furthermore, the separation of the container in individual fractions significant advantages in waste disposal (Recycling). Finally, the two-ply Construction of the container increased mechanical strength achieve, especially when transporting in multi-layer Container is an advantage.
- EP-B1-0 102 522 ensure that the positive connection is stable and is permanent and without a bond between the inside and Outside part gets along.
- additional separating elements like the one in the Desired separation strips in the outer part described in EP-B1-0 408 515 be provided.
- the known manufacturing method for Combined packaging container has, although in practice has proven very successful, but also has some disadvantages: direct positive connection from the plastic inner part and the printed, matched to the later container content
- the outer part of the deep-drawing process is the finished container set for later use. Should therefore for example at a manufacturer of various yoghurt products those necessary for continuous production differently printed yoghurt cups available at the warehouse this requires a considerable amount of space, because the molded cups are stored separately according to species Need to become. Will the cups be in a different place produced and transported to the filling location also increase the transport costs.
- Another major disadvantage of the known method lies in the complexity of the machines used. Instead of a simple deep-drawing device in which the cup-shaped Container made from a film by deep drawing specially made for the known process, expensive and complicated machine sets needed, which in a first station, the outer parts made of printed blanks shape and glue the finished outer parts over a transfer station precisely in the special deep-drawing molds use a special deep-drawing device, and the Thermoforming device finally the plastic inner parts in deep-draw the outer parts.
- the container usually has - as in Fig. 1 of EP-B1-0 408 515 can be seen - to improve stackability a circumferential paragraph serving as a support shoulder (3 in Fig. 1 of EP-B1-0 408 515).
- the sales are as a result of the manufacturing process equally in the outer part as well as in the molded plastic inner part.
- By the sales result despite the inherently stiffening composite structure of the container a weakening of the container wall against axial, i.e. attacking perpendicular to the bottom of the container Compressive forces because the container wall in the area of Paragraph tends to buckle.
- Such weakening of the container against axial upsetting forces is especially then undesirable if the filled and closed containers on a pallet or the like directly in several layers one above the other to be stacked.
- DE 295 13 093 U discloses a method according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the object of the present invention is a Process for producing a plastic inner part and shell-like outer part of existing combination packaging container specify which avoids the aforementioned disadvantages and simplification of the production devices, one Reduction of transport and storage costs for the finished Container, and improved stiffness of the container allows in the axial direction.
- the task is characterized by the entirety of the features of the claim 1 solved.
- the essence of the invention is exterior part and separate plastic inner part or form and then both parts together to connect by placing the outer part over the inner part pushed and fixed on the inner part.
- To this Way it is possible with simple deep-drawing devices To produce non-specific, cup-shaped plastic inner parts, only afterwards if necessary with the corresponding printed or otherwise assembled outer parts be connected to the finished combination container.
- This will the flexibility in manufacturing increases and warehousing and transportation significantly simplified.
- the method according to the invention is further characterized by this that the locking means one in the bottom area of the cup-shaped plastic inner part arranged circumferential Grip shoulder whose outside diameter is larger than the inside diameter of the lower edge of the jacket-like outer part, that the jacket-like outer part when pushed over over the cup-shaped plastic inner part with its lower edge is pushed so far over the circumferential shoulder that it engages behind the shoulder, that the engaging means still an upper, outwardly projecting edge on the cup-shaped Include plastic inner part, and that the jacket-like Outer part when sliding over the cup-shaped Plastic inner part with its top edge from below pushes the edge and after snapping between the edge and the circumferential shoulder is held. That way achieved a particularly simple fixation of the outer part.
- the jacket-like outer part can be weakened Take up axial compressive forces applied to the container.
- the jacket-like outer part can be in different ways getting produced.
- a first alternative embodiment is used to manufacture the jacket-like outer part a blank wrapped in a coat, and the side edges are glued together in an overlap area.
- the outer part can in this way without further measures be pushed over the plastic inner part.
- the manufacturing cut along the jacket-like outer part two fold lines folded, and the side edges are in glued together in an overlap area.
- the glued The outer part then lies in a flattened form in front. It can be stacked and transported easily and space-saving and stored. If necessary, the flattened External parts are then stretched tubular and over the Plastic inner part pushed.
- the plastic inner part is characterized in that it cup-shaped and tapering towards the bottom, and that locking means are provided on the plastic inner part are in which the jacket-like outer part for fixing on cup-shaped plastic inner part can be detachably engaged.
- the latching means one arranged in the bottom area of the plastic inner part encircle the shoulder, the outside diameter is larger than the diameter of the lower edge of the jacket-like Outside part, and that the locking means continue to be one upper, outwardly projecting rim on the cup-shaped Plastic inner part, in particular in the form of a sealing flange, include, against which edge the jacket-like outer part when sliding over the cup-shaped plastic inner part with its upper edge.
- Fig. 1 shows a partially sectioned representation a plastic inner part, as it is for the inventive Method is suitable.
- the figure half to the left of the dash-dotted center line shows the longitudinal section, the right half of the figure is an uncut side view.
- the cup-shaped plastic inner part 1 is shown in the Example simply conical with a Bottom 9 tapering diameter. It becomes explicit pointed out that the simple conical cup is only one Embodiment represents, and that within the scope of the invention Of course, other stackable shapes such as four, six or otherwise polygonal or mixed square round Shapes are conceivable.
- the conical wall 2 of the cup-shaped plastic inner part 1 is in the example shown at the top by a sealing flange 3 limited, by means of which the cup is closed can be. This can be done, for example, by sealing an aluminum foil. But there are also others Edge shapes conceivable, such as in the left Half of Fig. 1 from EP-B1-0 102 522 are reproduced.
- the wall 2 of the cup is from the upper edge or sealing flange 3 starting, down to the floor area without Heel trained throughout. Only directly in the floor area a circumferential rear pull 5 is provided, the top through an inwardly projecting, circumferential paragraph 4 is limited, its function later in connection with Fig. 4 and 5 will be explained in more detail.
- the Evasion 5 itself is divided into two rear sections 6 and 7, of which the upper rear section 6 is substantially cylindrical, and the lower rear section 7 easily is designed to open towards the bottom.
- paragraph 4 becomes a support shoulder provided the defined nesting of the cups allows.
- paragraph 4 With the rear pull 5 "Spring base" realized, i.e. the floor 9 can become when it occurs move axial compressive forces in the axial direction. This property is for the rigidity of the combi container of importance, which will be discussed in more detail below becomes.
- the geometry of the Behind that the plastic inner part 1 without the Use of complex sliding molds to be deep-drawn can if a plastic material with increased shrinkage behavior such as. Polypropylene (PP) is used because of the deep-drawn cups despite the drawdown 5 due to the Take shrinkage out of a solid deep-drawing mold without any problems leaves.
- PP Polypropylene
- the bottom 9 of the plastic inner part 1 can be different be trained. Regarding the possibilities here referred to EP-B1-0 102 522.
- the bottom 9 has an outer contact surface 11, which surrounds a central retracted base part 10 in a ring shape.
- a Plastic inner part 1 of the type shown in Fig. 1 by Thermoforming from a plastic film or another suitable Manufacturing process manufactured The finished mug then with a jacket-like outer part 12, as shown by way of example in FIG. 2, into one Combined packaging container connected by the outer part 12 like a cuff from below over the cup-shaped plastic inner part 1 is pushed and fixed to the inner part.
- This has the particular advantage that only the one to be packed Product coordinated, product-specific printed External parts that fold easily and save space have to be kept in stock while the (non-specific) Plastic inner parts directly at the Bottler or elsewhere on simple deep-drawing devices manufactured and then with the outer part be united.
- the jacket-like outer part 12 can be made of different materials exist and manufactured in different ways his. With regard to the possibilities, see EP-B1-0 102 522 and EP-B1-0 408 515.
- the outer part becomes 12-what is often the case - from a blank from the outside and / or inside printed cardboard material, so the blank, for example, wrapped in a sheath on a mandrel and then the side edges in an overlap area 13 glued together.
- the fixation of the jacket-like outer part 12 on the cup-shaped Plastic inner part 1 is preferably made by a releasable snap.
- a snap on the plastic inner part 1 the upper edge or the sealing flange work 3 and the circumferential shoulder 8 with the one above Deutschenzug 5.
- the outer diameter of the shoulder 8 is (slightly) larger than the inside diameter of the bottom edge 15.
- the height of the outer part 12 in the axial direction is somewhat less than the (axial) distance between the bottom of the Sealing flange 3 and the shoulder 8.
- the cladding-like outer part 12 can be seen 2 as far as the plastic inner part 1 according to Fig. 1 pushed until it with the upper edge 14 on the bottom of the sealing flange 3 At the same time the glides Lower edge 15 of the outer part 12 over the shoulder 8, the yields resiliently due to material and geometry and their Outside diameter reduced. Simultaneously with the toasting the upper edge 14 on the sealing flange is the lower edge 15 slid over shoulder 8 and has it again released so that the shoulder 8 in its starting position jumps back into place.
- the jacket-like outer part 12 is so between the sealing flange 3 and the shoulder 8 on the Plastic inner part 1 detachably fixed.
- the upper edge 14 is through the sealing flange 3 and the lower edge 15 covered by the shoulder 8 protectively.
- a jacket-like one Outer part 12 made of moisture-sensitive cardboard material to be used. It is also possible to Protection of the edges to provide a fold, as this is from the EP-B1-0 102 522 is known.
- the coat-like Outer part 12 compared to the cup-shaped plastic inner part 1 can be a more or less tight fit of the External part 12 can be reached on the inner part.
- the outer part 12 has a largely smooth outer surface without debilitating paragraphs or Like. For this reason, the outer part 12 is in the Able to absorb relatively large axial pressure forces. Corresponding can the outer part 12 in the finished combination packaging container Catch 16 axial compressive forces on the floor 9 and act the sealing flange 3 of the plastic inner part. A The "spring base" already mentioned above plays an important role in this. If axial pressure is applied to the plastic inner part 1 of the combination packaging container 16, shifts the bottom 9 resiliently towards the sealing flange 3 until the shoulder 8 on the lower edge 15 of the jacket-shaped outer part 12 presses.
- the stack height i.e. the increase in height by stacking two Containers 16, 16 'depends largely on the height of the rear pull 5 from.
- the shoulder 8, 8 ' is then further over the lower edge 15 of the engaged Outside part 12, 12 'in front, whereby the locking function and Protection of the lower edge 15 can be improved.
- FIG. 6 and 7 are at the overlap area 13 of the outer part 12 additional tear aids are provided.
- a grip tab located at the top of the overlap area 17 can be pulled down by hand to do this To separate outer part 12 at overlap area 13.
- the Splitting is facilitated by the fact that the overlap area 13 bounded on one side by a perforation 18 which is also in the making of the blank in the material can be introduced.
- one of the fold lines (24) also forms the other boundary line of the overlap area 13 and acts similarly like a perforation and supports the tearing process.
- the overlap region 13 is located in the middle between the fold lines 26, 27.
- FIG. 8 are the outer parts 12 of FIG. 6 or 7 in the same Pushed from the bottom 9 over the plastic inner part 1, as already described above. differences arise only insofar as the flat folded 6 and 7 before sliding over the plastic inner part 1 is first stretched tubular Need to become.
- plastic inner part 1 or 1 by deep drawing from a To produce PP film, and for the outer part 12 or 12 'cuts made of printed cardboard material with or without predetermined separation strips to use. If the outer part 12 or 12 ' Made from a plastic, it is for a simplified Processing advantageous to use the same material as for the plastic inner part 1, 1 '.
