Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrically operated device for hair treatment, in particular a hairdryer with a fan motor for generating an air flow and a heating device for heating the air flow and a housing with an air inlet and an air outlet opening and a connecting element, for example a plug / socket element for connection, in particular for the electrical connection of the hair dryer with a tool for hair treatment.
- This tool is equipped in particular for hair styling and / or hair drying with an electrical consumer, for example an electric motor, and can be placed on the air outlet opening of the hair dryer.
- the connecting element has connection means for electrical connection with at least one live component in the hair dryer.
- Such a device is known from JP 7-51 1 17.
- This describes a curling iron with a handle and an accessory.
- a blower and a heating device are provided in the handle part.
- the accessory for example a round brush, contains further electrical components and can be connected to the air outlet-side end of the handle part by electrical connecting means.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a simplified design of a connecting element which is attached to a hairdryer and is suitable for connection to an additional tool.
- the number of electrically conductive components required for equipping different types of hair dryers and for connecting various additional tools with different operating voltages should be noticeably reduced, the connecting elements should be easier to assemble and thus be made more cost-effective.
- connection means is connected to the heating device, in particular to the filament wire heater, and is arranged essentially outside the heating device.
- This inventive connection of the connection means to the filament wire heating suggests a flexible possibility of providing the electrical voltage required for the respective tool in a simple manner.
- almost any electrical voltage can be provided by a voltage tap with a connection means on a filament wire heater, which is lower than the respectively existing mains voltage. It is therefore no longer necessary to provide different electrical connection means for different operating voltages; these are rather determined by the respective contact point of the connection means on the filament heating.
- the number of electrically conductive parts required for the connecting element, in particular the connecting means is thus noticeably reduced.
- connection means which is located essentially outside the heating device, suggests a simple mounting option which, after winding the filament wire heater, enables a simple connection of the connection means to the heating device which is flexible in its position.
- the manufacture of the hair dryer, in particular the electrical connecting element between the hair dryer and an additional tool, is thus advantageously made more cost-effective.
- the connecting means is guided at almost any location from the outside through the housing wall of the hair dryer, in particular a heating tube, into the interior of the hair dryer and there with connected to the heater.
- a particularly flexible possibility of connecting the connecting means to the heating device is advantageously proposed, which enables the generation of any desired electrical voltage for supplying an additional tool by the almost free choice of the connecting point between connecting means and heating.
- the connection means can be guided from the outside through the housing wall, in particular through the heating tube, enables an extremely simple and inexpensive connection after the heating device has been installed in the hairdryer.
- connection means is connected at one end to a heating conductor wire of the heating device, in particular the filament wire heater.
- connection means be provided as an electrical voltage tap and be designed as a standard component with standard variants.
- a standardized connection means has such a geometric shape that one and the same connection means can be used to generate different types of electrical voltages. The provision of individual connection means, which was previously required to generate different voltage values, can thus advantageously be dispensed with.
- the standardized design of the connection means can also contain a standardized training variant, the number of these standard variants advantageously being considerably less than the number of individual variants of the connection means previously required.
- connection means are designed as an electrically conductive rail and contact terminal.
- a rail has a simple possibility at its one end for connection to a further electrical conductor, for example in an additional tool.
- a contact terminal can be connected to this rail and an electrical one Establish a connection to the electrical consumer, especially a filament heating. Due to the elongated extension of the rail, it can thus advantageously cover a large area of the windings of the filament wire heating and is therefore variable in the choice of the contact point of the contact terminal for generating the respective electrical voltage.
- the rail itself can optionally be designed in particular as a straight or as a helical rail.
- a straight rail By designing as a straight rail, a particularly simple, inexpensive variant is proposed;
- the helical design enables an almost infinitely variable adjustment of an electrical voltage for an additional tool.
- the rail is fastened on the outside of the heating device, in particular on the outside of a heating tube surrounding the heating device.
- a cross-sectional constriction of the air outlet in the interior of the dryer housing is avoided and thus an impairment of the air flow by these contact means is excluded.
- an extremely simple attachment of the rail on the outside of the housing is advantageously proposed.
- the formation of the rail with contact points, in particular with openings for fastening the contact terminals, is particularly advantageous.
- the distance between two contact points on a straight rail essentially corresponds to the axial distance between two windings of the heating conductor wire.
- the contact terminal can advantageously be connected to the rail at almost any desired point, in particular from the outside of the heating tube.
- the slope of the helical rail essentially corresponds to the slope of the spiral wire heater.
- a corresponding helical rail which is arranged in particular on the outside of a heating tube and thus enables simple connection of the rail to the heating device by inserting a contact terminal, can be assigned to a heating conductor wire of a filament wire heating.
- two straight rails are arranged essentially parallel to the main direction of flow of the hair dryer and the contact clamp can be inserted into a slot-like opening in the dryer housing, in particular the heating tube, between the two rails.
- the contact terminals for connecting both rails are advantageously guided in a common slot in the heating tube.
- the required electrical voltage on the rails can be set.
- the rail has a contact slot, a contact pin or a contact tab for connection to the tool. This enables an advantageous and simple fastening of a further connecting element of an additional tool to the rail of the hair dryer.
- the contact terminal it is formed at one end as a cutting tap with at least two cutting edges which can be plugged onto the heating conductor wire of the heating device.
- a simple connection between the terminal and the heating conductor wire of the heating device can thus advantageously be produced after the terminal has been inserted into the slot-like opening of the heating tube.
- the contact terminal is formed with a contact tab, which is angled, for example, with respect to the cutting edge tap and can be connected to the rail.
- a clamp can advantageously be connected to the heating conductor wire and to the rail at the same time after being inserted into the slot-like opening of the heating tube. Additional connection means between the terminal and the rail and also further operations for connecting the terminal are no longer required.
- the rail and the contact terminal are designed as die-cast parts or as stamped sheet metal parts.
- the rail and the contact terminal as a one-piece component is particularly advantageous.
- the rail can be produced as a sheet metal stamped part by means of a stamping tool with a standard shape, and the contact clamp can be provided at different points on the rail by means of adjustable inserts of the tool.
- the rail is connected to a component of the hair dryer which carries mains voltage.
- the direct electrical connection between a hair dryer and an additional tool, which can be operated with mains voltage, can thus advantageously also be established.
- connection of a connecting element is described using a connection means mentioned above.
- the connecting element is provided for connecting an electrically operated device for hair treatment, in particular a hair dryer, with a tool for hair treatment.
- the connecting means in particular a contact terminal, is guided at almost any point from the outside through the housing wall of the hair dryer, in particular the heating tube, into the interior of the hair dryer and connects it there to the heating device, in particular the filament wire heater.
- a flexible possibility has thus been found for providing a heating device, in particular a filament wire heater, with an electrical connection from the outside after winding.

- the distance between the individual windings of the heating conductor wire 1 9 corresponds to the distance between the openings 13 in the contact rail 10.
- the length of the contact rail 10 is chosen so that it corresponds to the maximum distance from the first to the last winding of the heating conductor wire 1 9.
- the contact terminals 1 1 can thus advantageously be passed from the outside through the slot-like opening 17 of the heating tube 2 and plugged onto a winding of the heating conductor wire 1 9 and electrically connected to the latter.
- An electrical connection is made from the cutting edge tap 1 5 to the contact rail 10 by means of the contact lugs 1 6 of the terminals 1 1.
- the contact rail 10 ends on the end face with a contact lug 14 which can be electrically connected to a further connecting element through the contact slots 9 of the housing 7.
- a connecting element 6 according to the invention can, for example, be attached to the outside of the heating pipe 2, as shown in the previous figures.

- a contact tab 20 protrudes from the connecting element 6 into the interior of the heating tube 2, so that this contact tab 20 also with another live part of the hair dryer bar, as the previously described radiator 12.
- the connecting element 22 is attached to the underside of the housing of the tool 21 and equipped with a slide switch 23. This can be moved essentially parallel to the main flow direction 5.
- the slide switch 23 (FIG. 8) has a button 24 which is passed through an opening in the housing 32 of the connecting element 22. After the tool 23 has been placed on the air outlet opening of the heating pipe 2, the slide switch 23 can be displaced towards the connecting element 6 against the main flow direction 5. In this way, on the one hand, a mechanical connection can be established between the connecting element 22 and the connecting element 6.
- the air inlet end of a tool 21 (FIG. 9) consists of an annular neck 25 which can be plugged onto the air outlet end of the heating pipe 2.
- This neck 25 is followed in the flow direction 5 by the bell-shaped housing of the tool 21, for example.

Ambient air is drawn into the housing 28 through the air inlet opening 30 and leaves this again in the main flow direction 5 at the air outlet opening 3. On the underside of the housing 28, a connecting element 6 is attached, which can be connected with a tool, not shown, described above.
- the connecting element 6 (Fig. 1 2) consists essentially of the same components as already described in Fig. 2. However, the rails 33 and 34 are alternatively connected in one piece to a contact terminal 36 and 37. The contact terminals 36 and 37 are attached to different locations of the two rails 33 and 34, so that an electrical voltage value can be set by the axial distance between the two contact terminals 36 and 37. At the air outlet end of the rails 33, 34, a contact tab 38 is provided for connection to a contact means of the additional tool. To mount the rails 33 and 34, they are first inserted into the housing 7 and then clipped onto the outer jacket of the heating pipe 2.
