Abstract

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein faltbares Plattenelement (1), welches aus mindestens zwei Plattenteilen (2) besteht. Die Plattenteile (2) sind mit einer eine Sichtseite (4) bildenden, veredelten Oberfläche ausgestattet und über ein Faltscharnier (3) miteinander verbunden.
Erfindungsgemäß besteht das Scharnier (3) aus einem flexiblen Band (6), welches mindestens an den einander gegenüberliegenden Längskanten (8) der Plattenteile (2) durch Verklebung an diesen festgelegt ist derart, daß die Scharnierachse (9) etwa in der Ebene der Sichtflächen (4) der Plattenteile (2) liegt.
Durch die Verwendung von flexiblen Bändern (6) zur Bildung des Faltscharnieres (3) wird ein beträchtlicher Kostenvorteil erzielt. Auch das Anbringen der entsprechenden Faltscharniere (3) ist relativ einfach, da die Bänder (6) an den einander gegenüberliegenden Längskanten (8) der Plattenteile (2) lediglich angeklebt werden.
Durch die Verlagerung der Scharnierachse (9) etwa in die Ebene der Sichtflächen (4) der Plattenteile (2) wird erreicht, daß diese Plattenteile (2) optimal gegeneinander verschwenkt und auch flach aufeinanderliegend zusammengeklappt werden können.
