  • the plate imaging, e.g. B. directly in the printing press without a conventional one Disk copy is done using a computer, which data for in a grid Image processor to generate bitmap files from electronic publishing systems takes over and sends a bitmap to the printing units for each printing ink.
  • There each of the print heads depicts specially coated printing forms Printing form cylinders.
  • the printing forms can have a three-layer structure have, e.g. with a carrier layer based on polyester, one on the Backing layer applied printing layer based on titanium, which can have infrared absorbing properties, and one on the printing Non-printing layer based on silicone, e.g. Silicone rubber.
  • Such printing forms can be used in offset printing without dampening solution Dry offset - can be used.
  • the printing forms can be used as printing plates or - Films are clamped onto the printing form cylinder or in some other way these are applied.
  • the application of a liquid layer on the Printing form surface with subsequent hardening of the layer is possible.
  • the ablative imaging can be done using a print head, e.g. by sparks generated by electrodes or by sparks generated by laser diodes Laser beams on the printing form the color-guiding layer is exposed, the non-printing cover layer at the printing points, the pixels, thermally is decomposed or evaporated. As residues of this imaging process there remain particles and conversion products of the non-printing and also the possibly slightly attacked printing layer on the printing Areas of the printing form.
  • imaging residues must be removed so that good color acceptance at these points and no toning occurs and on High quality print image is achieved.
  • the removal of the imaging residues can be done manually and / or mechanically by means of a cleaning device, by using a cleaning organ, e.g. a cleaning cloth under well-dosed pressure the printing form surface a - e.g. by rotating the plate cylinder rack-fixed cleaning organ - relative movement to the cleaned Printing form surface executes.
  • the printing plate cleaning fluid can before and during the cleaning process towards the cleaning member and / or the cleaning printing surface applied, e.g. are sprayed.
  • Cleaning fluids containing isopropanol can be used for cleaning printing forms with a printing layer based on titanium and a non-printing layer based on silicone containing alcohol.
  • Such Cleaning fluids are also used in printing machines for cleaning rollers and Cylinders of paint residues and other contaminants used.
  • the low flash point of the isopropanol contained that at the Printing form cleaning evaporating isopropanol can together with the Ambient air form a flammable gas mixture and with one of the Printing plate cleaning immediately following another imaging process the high temperatures caused by these are ignited.
