Abstract

The present invention pertains to a driven loose wheel axle with individually mounted wheels for single-axle or double-axle chassis for rail-borne vehicles, especially for chassis or bogies on low-platform vehicles, wherein a drive is fastened to the chassis frame on the outside on each longitudinal side of the chassis and the drive is connected to the corresponding loose wheel via a cardanic double coupling.
