Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tape cassette for a tape printing device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • an image receiving tape through the printing zone of a tape printing device transport is a propulsion mechanism required.
  • a known tape printing device (EP-A-0487312) is a drive transport roller in the tape printing device intended.
  • This role is related to an in the cassette arranged cassette roll.
  • the transport roller is mounted on a pre-tensioned arm, which is the transport roller presses against the cassette roller when the cassette is in the Tape printing device is located.
  • the disadvantage of this arrangement is that there is a roll in the cassette. Thereby the cassette becomes more expensive, and not only because of the additional cost for the role itself, but also because of of the more complicated manufacturing process for the cassette what results in an increase in production costs.
  • EP-A-0634275 a tape cassette of the generic type described.
  • the image reception band is between a fixed Passed through the wall of the cassette and a drive roller and conveyed out of the cassette by rotating the latter.
  • the Wall is a rigid part of the housing of the cassette.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a tape cassette where no role is required and also at least some of the tolerances mentioned above are compensated for can.
  • a tape cassette intended for use in a tape printing device which has a holder for a supply of image receiving tape, an outlet through which the tape exits the cassette can, as well as a wall part over which the tape after it emerges can be guided from the outlet, the wall part with a rotatable drive means of the tape printing device in Active connection can be brought to the intermediate band convey the tape cassette out, and with the wall part opposite the tape cassette is movable so that the wall part and Drive means in operation of the device with opposite Sides of the belt under sufficient force so in That there is a rotary movement of the drive means, that the tape is pulled out of the tape cassette.
  • the wall part of the cassette is designed so that through it replaces the cassette roll used in the known arrangements can be lost without losing functionality goes.
  • the drive means works with the movable wall part in operative connection together. Since the wall part is movable, can have sufficient pressing force on opposite sides of the image receiving tape and thus sufficient driving force be guaranteed on the tape to cause that the tape is pulled out of the tape cassette. Problems which result from manufacturing tolerances of the tape printing device and / or of the tape cassette have no significant impact on the drive means in operative connection with the wall part performed drive operation.
  • the wall part can be arranged so that it is on a support element the tape printing device or the tape cassette to the system arrives for a further movement in the direction of the support element to prevent, the support element at one of the Drive means arranged opposite side of the wall part is.
  • the drive means preferably acts on the Wall part with a force that causes movement of the wall part in Direction on the support element causes.
  • the support element prevents the wall part from moving as soon as it touches the support element has come to the plant. This ensures that that exerted by the wall part and drive means on the belt Pressing force is sufficient to pull the tape out of the Pull out the tape cassette.
  • This training is special advantageous because the tolerances mentioned above in the tape printing device and / or tape cassette have no influence on that Apply tape driving force.
  • the wall part moves until it is on the support element to the system comes across, regardless of the starting position of the wall part that of the support element.
  • the cassette and therefore its corresponding tolerances Role as the only essential tolerances are those of the position of the support element and the drive means associated tolerances come into question, which is only defined by the tape printing device and can be kept relatively low due to production.
  • the wall part can have a projection arranged in this way is that it lies against the support element during operation. This Projection can be selected so that the desired path length of the Wall part is created, around which the wall part may move.
  • the wall part is preferably in the direction of the drive means biased. This ensures that wall part and Drive means apply sufficient force to the image receiving belt, so that the tape can be pulled out of the cassette can.
  • the wall part can be biased into a normal position in which it is on an adjacent wall part of the tape cassette lies flush, and the drive means is arranged such that it moves the wall part inside the tape cassette. If that is, the wall part is moved inside the tape cassette they try to return to their normal position. Different expressed, the wall part exerts one in the direction of the drive means acting force. In this way, from Wall part and from the drive means a sufficiently large driving force on the tape.
  • the wall part can be hinged to the tape cassette and by one Axis movable, which is defined by this articulation is.
  • the wall part is able to take the required position to ensure that a sufficient large driving force is present, regardless of manufacturing tolerances the cassette and / or the tape printing device.
  • the wall part is preferably essentially rectangular and surrounded on three of its sides by a slit, whereby the wall part by one through the fourth side of the wall part defined axis is movable. Because three sides of the wall part are open, the wall part is easily movable when over the drive means acts on it. Also forms the fourth side an axis around which the wall part moves can be. The connection on the fourth side can also do this act that the wall part moves back to the normal position is when the drive means no longer exerts force becomes.
  • At least part of the tape cassette is included of the wall part using a molding process made of plastic. Compared to the state of the art this reduces the cost of the cassette. First material costs are reduced, and second is the manufacturing process easier and therefore cheaper.
  • the tape cassette preferably contains a means for holding a supply of image transfer tape and a means of recording the image transfer belt after printing.
  • the invention is also applicable to embodiments where the image receiving tape is made of one material is made by a thermal print head directly can be printed with an image.

  • the drive roller 46 is operated by the coupling mechanism pressed towards the cassette wall 47 when the Cassette is in place and the lid 16 closed is. The drive roller 46 then presses the wall 47 inside the cassette until the rib 218 contacts the pin 205 extending away from the base plate 18a.

If the movable wall 47 is inside the cassette 22, it is also biased towards their initial position. Drive roller 46 and movable wall 47 are thus against each other biased, ensuring that a sufficient great pressure is exerted on the band 70 so that it can be transported by the tape printing device 2.
  • the Pin 205 is important in that it has wall 47 on it prevents the cartridge 22 from penetrating too far, causing damage is avoided.
  • Wall 47 can be made from the same plastic material be from which the cassettes 22 are generally made are.
  • the wall 47 can be made using a single Molding process simultaneously with the lower half of the cassette be shaped. Due to the arrangement of the C-shaped slot it is ensured that the wall is sufficiently flexible and in the Is able to cover a sufficiently long distance so that the desired effect occurs.
  • a movable wall 47 can also cause problems be solved, which is caused by the manufacturing tolerances the cassette 22 as well as the tape printing device 2 itself.
  • the cartridge is through a pin 205 on the base plate 18a and by two pins 201 and 202 set the frame. Manufacturing tolerances mean that base plate 18a and frame not always in exactly the same ratio to stand by each other. Therefore, the slots or holes 203, 204, 210 in the cassette 22 larger than the actual one Size of the pins so that the cassette 22 is always in the cassette receiving space 8 can be included regardless of the different ratios of frame 18 to base plate 18a.
  • the cassette 22 is also subject to tolerance deviations, what it shows that the slots and holes are not always in exactly the same relationship to each other or to the rest the cassette 22 stand.
  • wall 47 is movable, can always be ensured that drive roller 46 and movable Wall 47 in the operating position always against each other are biased so that between the wall 47 and the drive roller 46 sufficient pressure is generated to the image receiving tape 70 to be transported by the tape printing device 2.
  • This is achieved in that the drive roller 46 on the wall 47th exerts a force, whereby the wall 47 until it stops at the Pin 205 is moved.
  • This pin 205 forms a reaction surface, on which the drive roller 46 act via the wall 47 can.
  • the wall 47 and the drive roller 46 thus always practice a force that is large enough to support the image reception band 70 to capture it by rotating the drive roller 46 can be transported, regardless of the Starting position of the cassette 22 with respect to the drive roller 46.
  • the exact relationship between the cassette frame and base plate 18a, drive roller 46 and cassette 22 are therefore not critical Point.
