Definitions
- the invention relates to a fitting for corner connections of a handrail or boundary rails of railings, especially on stairs.
- - railings Stairs or pedestals require connection connections at such points, where their direction continues at an angle. This is for example with single or double spiral stairs, if the railing with two or more straight lines adjoining each other at an angle Railing sections follow the spiraling of the stairs approximately.
- corner connections which usually enclose an angle of 90 ° a railing handrail inclined according to the slope of the stairs the one, first handrail section has a vertical end face with which it butt on one side of the second handrail section following the corner is firmly connected using screws. Extend the screws each through a cross hole in the second handrail section and are in one of the face of the first handrail section outgoing pre-drilled.
- the strength of such, usually this is made with the help of two screws corner connection affects that on the one hand the length of the in an inclined handrail section horizontally drilled holes and screws is necessarily limited and on the other hand the screw head to avoid must be sunk from the risk of injury and thereby the load-bearing Handrail thickness is weakened. The situation is less favorable for the same reasons with corner connections over larger angles that are therefore limited to a maximum of approximately 110 °.
- the object of the invention is a fitting for corner connections To create handrail or delimitation spars of banisters, the through a component set that can be produced at low cost Easy assembly distinguishes to over selectable and adjustable To create angle-stiff, stable corner connections, and the possibility offers a user-friendly via the connection area Set up transition / connection with good optical effect.
- Handrail sections are just two hinge-forming fittings necessary, vertically offset from each other with the help of any suitable Fasteners on each of the vertical end faces of the two connecting handrail sections are fixed.
- a fastener for the fittings on the handrail sections which are usually made of wood preferably screws or drive-in bolts are available Available.
- the hinge axis of their common vertical screw connection on the desired angle of the corner connection to each other can be set, whereupon only the screw connection needs to be tightened, around the initially existing hinge connection in a permanent connection to convict.
- the fitting parts preferably each have a projecting end convexly curved and thus enlarged contact surface, which corresponds to a corresponding one Groove adapted to the vertical face of the railing part is. This measure helps to determine the distance of the hinge axis from the railing parts and the size of the interruption of the railing or Keep the handrail small.
- each contains Fitting part of a horizontal stepped bore penetrating the contact surface for one with its head on the side of the vertical bore
- Level supported wood screw preferably a screwdriver head with recessed socket holder, whose transition to the thread as a conical seat to rest on the corresponding conical shaped step of the hole in the fitting part is executed.
- the fitting parts have at least one perpendicular to a vertical hole for the screw connection trending horizontal top or bottom with which to look Fix the screw connection tightly on top of each other.
- the vertical screw connection comprises a bolt with threaded sections on the top and bottom End, also the vertical bore provided with an internal thread for the bolt of the lower fitting part and one to the end of the upper Threaded section of the bolt screwed screw nut.
- screw nut eliminates the need for an integral part of the threaded bolt Screwdriver head and on the other hand allows that from the braced together
- Protruding fitting parts protrude upwards and downwards, which as a connection for the corner connection area above and / or under the fitting parts filling, preferably made of wood screw-on Cover caps serve.
- the cover caps a cylindrical circumference, which is due to the curvature of the groove in the vertical end faces of the railing parts is matched.
- Fairing ring segments are provided, each from one of the heights of a fitting part and in the diameter of the curvature of the groove in the railing part adapted metal ring, the scope of which by the width of the respective fitting part interrupted slot is.
- This vertical Distance can be determined by e.g. ring disk made of wood filled the one that runs outwards from a central opening Includes slot with which they protrude from the pairs of fittings Threaded bolt sections is attached.
- end face of the railing parts bounding vertical edges each at an angle of about 45 ° break or chamfer so that the corner connection is at an angle in the area can be set between at least 90 ° and 180 °.
- the fitting parts preferably each consist of a cuboid-like one Metal body with longer flat tops and bottoms, which with respect to the Vertical bore can have radially extending corrugations. Furthermore can the fittings in the direction of the convex arched contact surface provided end to be widened on both sides, thereby to reduce the specific surface pressure acting on the wood.
- Figures 1a to 1c form two spaced one above the other Fitting sets, each with an upper and lower fitting part 10 or 12 according to the invention a corner connection between two accordingly a handrail sections 14 which run at an incline, 16.
- the fitting parts 10, 12 lie on vertical end faces 18 or 20 of the handrail section 14 or 16 and are each on these by means a horizontally extending wood screw 22 attached.
- Figure 1d shows corner connections between Handrail and spar sections 15 and 17 of a horizontal Railing, the corner connection of the lower spar 17 due to has only one set of fittings due to its low cross-sectional height.
- both fitting parts 10, 12 intended for receiving a threaded bolt 26 are, which initially acts as a hinge axis and after angle adjustment the corner connection serves their fixed screw tension.
- the one in Figure 6 illustrated threaded bolt 26 carries an upper threaded portion 28, to the end of which a preferably relatively flat screw nut 30 is screwed on, so that it acts as a rotary actuator for the threaded bolt works.
- the threaded bolt 26 also carries a threaded section at its lower end 32, the one with the appropriate internal thread Vertical bore 24 of the lower fitting part 12 is screwed.
- each fitting part consists of a cuboid-like metal body with a rectangular outline according to Figure 5b.
- Each fitting part contains one in its longitudinal direction horizontal step bore 36 with a for example conical stage 38 and an output 40 of smaller size Diameter.
- the stepped bore 36 serves to receive the wood screw 22, whose screw head contains a recessed socket wrench receptacle 42 on its annular with a shape corresponding to the shape of step 38 or conical seat 44 provided bottom in a diameter the smooth shaft section 46 adapted to the outlet 40 merges.
- the screw head is consequently, e.g. drawn in Figures 1 or 2, with its seat 44 on the correspondingly designed step 38 in the fitting part on.
- the grooves 52 of the handrail or railing parts are indicated in Figures 1 and 2 and preferably accordingly Figures 3 and 8 shaped and sized so that the center of their radius of curvature on the longitudinal axis of the vertical bore 24 or the threaded bolt 26 lies.
- the vertical bore 24, which is the horizontal stepped bore 36 crosses, is in the fitting part with a sufficient minimum distance arranged by the step 38 so that the insertion of the threaded bolt 26 not through the head 42 of the previously tightened wood screw 22 is disabled. Only with one of the fitting parts 10, 12 of a fitting set is of the vertical bore 24 of the associated other fitting part removed portion 24a with an internal thread that the threaded bolt 26 records.
- each fitting part 10 is a ring segment 54 according to Figures 2 and 7 provided that from one of the height of the fitting part and in the outside diameter of the curvature of the groove 52 matched metal ring.
- the circumference of the ring is through one of the Width of the fitting part corresponding slot 56 interrupted so that the free segment ends due to their own spring force on the side of your respective Fit the fitting part clamped. If the fitting parts 10, 12 according to Figure 8 are widened in the direction of their contact surface 50 in this case slot 56 in ring segment 54 is also expanded.
- each corner connection area can be above, below and between the fitting sets by the free threaded sections 28, 32 of the bolt 26 screwable upper and lower fillers or caps 58, 60 or filler ring washers 62 made of wood.
- These fillers have essentially the same diameter as the cladding segments 54, which are consequently axially fixed.
- the shape and axial The length of the filling pieces is adapted to the locally differing conditions, a lower filler corresponding to the example in FIG. 1d starting from the handrail to the delimitation bar below of a platform railing can be extended.
