Definitions
- the invention relates to a washing, drying or Polishing roller for vehicle washing and / or polishing systems, with several on a rotating driven core at an axial distance from one another in radial planes to the roller axis arranged support disks and with a variety of radially projecting from the periphery of the disks, strip-shaped working elements made of felt, Fleece, synthetic leather, leather, fur-like material or Like. whose work surfaces are essentially parallel extend to the roller axis and its radially inner Fastening ends with one of the support washers are connected.
- roller for washing Vehicles (DE 295 09 406 U1) are the working elements in each case at their fastening ends in the longitudinal direction of the working element folded and that through the incision end portions formed in the fastening end are in full contact with the support disc and are on these sewn on. Sewing has the disadvantage that the Work elements are not replaced individually when worn can be. Rather, it must be the entire Roller removed from the car wash and then be dismantled to gradually remove the support disks from To be able to pull off the roller core and through support disks to be replaced with new work elements.
- Farther are the working elements by folding their End of attachment to this stiffened, the stiffening depending on the direction of rotation of the roller is.
- washing rollers at which the support disks opposite the roller core are rotatable and between the support disks support elements are arranged with radially projecting bristles.
- This Support elements are non-rotatably connected to the roller core (see DE 295 18 089 U1). With these rollers, the Rotational entrainment of the work elements mainly through that the bristles at the radially inner end of the working elements issue. However, if the radially inner end, as it was first described, flat on the support disc is present, then there is no precisely defined rotary drive of the working elements guaranteed.
- the invention is therefore based on the object Washing, drying or polishing roller for vehicle washing and / or -polishing systems of the type mentioned at the beginning create the work elements without disassembly the supporting disc can easily be replaced individually by the roller core are.
- each work element with the Carrying disc is a connecting part made of rigid material is provided, which by a in the support plate provided opening is inserted and with each of its both ends in one each formed at the fastening end Pocket or recess engages, the two Pockets or recesses of each work element on opposite Sides of a through the associated support disc trending level are provided.
- the connecting element can be used to fasten the working elements with its ends in the pockets or recesses of the working element that also engage the fastening end of the working element essentially parallel runs to the roller axis. This in turn has the advantage that a better rotation of the work elements the bristles is guaranteed.
- the rotary drive of the working elements is determined very precisely become.
- This turning entrainment can be varied by that the "immersion depth" of the fastening ends of the Working elements in the bristles is changed. Since the Working elements are not folded at their fastening ends need to be, they cover the view of the Bristles largely off, so that the bristles for Vehicle washing and / or polishing system users stay invisible and give it the visual impression is conveyed that his vehicle only through the textile-like working elements and not through bristles is washed.
- A is the roller axis (axis of rotation) a waxing, drying or polishing roller - in the following just called roller - called.
- Roll core are at axial distances from each other several arranged in radial planes to the roller axis A.
- Support discs 1 provided.
- the support disks 1 exist preferably plastic, but they can also made of felt or the like, if necessary Material. Between the disks 1 are either as shown in Figure 1, top left, by one Bristle holder worn bristles 2 or as in Figure 1, shown bottom left, spacers 3 arranged from foam.
- the working elements 5 are strip-shaped and they are preferably made of felt or fleece. As Material for the working elements 5 also comes Synthetic leather, leather or fur-like material as well other textile material in question. Every work item 5 is preferably 6 at its working end through several cuts 7 in individual strips or Fingers divided. With the roller rotating freely the working elements 5 substantially radially Roller axis A arranged and their work surfaces 6a run essentially parallel to the roller axis. If the work surfaces 6a to the surface of the washing, drying or polishing vehicle hit, then they nestle the contour this surface. The fastening ends 4 of the working elements 5 preferably run essentially parallel to the roller axis A, so that the desired Torque transmission between the bristles 2 and Fastening ends 4 of the working elements 5 take place can.
- each working element 5 through a radial incision 8 in two divided separate end portions 4a, 4b.
- the end sections 4a, 4b are arranged on both sides of the support disk 1, which are more or less deep in the incision 8 stretched in.
- a connecting part 9, 10 or 11 is provided, which is characterized by an opening 12 provided in the support disk 1 or 12a, 12b (see Figure 2) extends.
- the connecting parts 9, 10, 11 can be made of metal, e.g. stainless steel, or also from plastic, or also from both, namely Metal, which is encased by plastic, exist.
- Each of these connecting parts 9, 10, 11 engages with each one end 9a, 9b or 10a, 10b or 11a, 11b each in one formed at the end section 4a, 4b Pocket 13a, 13b or 14a, 14b or 15a, 15b or in a recess 16a, 16b, as follows is described in more detail.
- the connecting part is a vertical pin 9 extending to the supporting disk 1.
- the pockets 13a, 13b and 14a, 14b are each through an envelope a part of the respective end section 4a or 4b educated. After turning the end section is the folded part is expediently sewn with the remaining end section 4a and 4b connected to the Define and shape the bag. Instead of sewing but also come gluing, welding (with plastic), Rivets, Velcro fasteners, snap fasteners or the like in question, however, sewing is the easiest and most durable Connection should be. Sewing to design the pockets take place before the individual work items 5 are connected to the support plate 1.
- each Pocket 13a, 13b towards its inner end, i.e. to the support disk 1 out, has an extension 18.
- the connection of the working element 5 with the support plate 1 in this embodiment in that first the pin 9 with its end 9b for example in the Pocket 13b and then through the other end 9a the opening 12 is in the support plate 1.
- the end section 4a is then pulled away from the supporting disk 1 and the other end 9a of the pin into the pocket 13a introduced, the extension 18 facilitates insertion.
- the end section 4a is then up to the support disk 1 pushed, with which the attachment of the working element 5 is completed on the support plate 1.
- the working element can be used again can be released from the support plate 1 when it is worn out or is damaged. If you take the turning element of the work element 5 wants to increase, then you can according to the pen Figure 2 in a radially inner opening Insert 12a or 12b. This can be the case with some work items or done with all. In this way can be changed by changing the "immersion depth" of the Working elements 5 between the bristles 2 that of the roll core transferable to the working elements 5 via the bristles 2 Change torque slightly and on this How to optimize the work performance of the respective roller.
- FIG. 4 Embodiment differs from the previous one Embodiment only through the design of the two pockets 14a, 14b.
- the pocket 14b is on its outer end in turn closed by a seam 19.
- the other pocket 14a is at its outer end only partially closed by a seam 20, so that an insertion opening 21 for the pin 19 remains.
- the seam 20 should be partially closed
- Pocket 14a be arranged so that the pocket in the area of extending one through the opening 12 passing through in the support disk 1, perpendicular line a extending to the plane of the supporting disc is closed is to prevent the unwanted emergence of the pin 9 from the To prevent pocket 14a. Accordingly, the insertion opening 21 in that area of the pocket 14a arranged, the working end 6 of the working element 5th turned towards.
- bracket 10 In the embodiment shown in Figures 5 and 6 is the connecting part as a bracket 10, useful made of plastic.
- the bracket 10 has at each of its ends 10a, 10b a transverse to the longitudinal direction of the temple protruding nose 22 on.
- the two pockets 15a, 15b are each provided with a recess 23 in which engage the lugs 22.
- the bracket 10 have a constriction 24 in its center, the Cross section approximately the cross section of the opening 12 in corresponds to the supporting disc 1.
- the cross section of the temple 10 on both sides of the constriction 24 can be slightly larger be than the cross section of the opening 12 in the support disk.
- bracket 11 made of spring steel or plastic as a connecting part intended. This bracket points to his a hook on each of the two free ends 11a and 11b.
- the bracket 11 is first with one end, for example the end 11a, through the opening 12 in the Carrying disc 1 inserted and in one position brought, as shown in Figures 7 and 8 is.
- the opening 12 can through a in the support plate inserted eyelet 25 be reinforced.
- a further eyelet 26 is arranged in the two end sections 4a and 4b of the working element 5 .
- the openings 16a, 16b of these eyelets 26 are the ends 11a, 11b provided hook of the bracket 11 hooked.
- the two pockets 31a, 31b by one Envelope of a part 4 'of the fastening end 4 of the Working element 5 and a recess 32 in the apex of the Envelope formed.
