Abstract

Eine Segelyacht besitzt zusätzlich zu ihrem Ballastkiel (2) wenigstens einen Flügelkiel (1), der gegebenenfalls auch einen Ballast trägt. Sowohl der Ballastkiel (2) als auch der Flügelkiel (1) sind am Rumpf des Segelschiffes um eine im wesentlichen in Längrichtung des Segelschiffes ausgerichtete Achse verschwenkbar gelagert. So kann durch Verschwenken des Ballastkiels (2) das aufrichtende Moment verändert, beispielsweise vergrößert werden. Durch Verschwenken des Flügelkiels (1) kann dessen Lateralplananteil verändert und so auch beim Krängen der Segelyacht groß gehalten werden.
