Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Entwässerungspresse einer Maschine zur Herstellung einer Faserstoffbahn (1), insbesondere Papier- und/oder Kartonbahn, mit zumindest einem in Bahnlaufrichtung (2) verlängerten Preßspalt (3), der zwischen einem umlaufenden flexiblen Preßband (4) einer Schuhpreßeinheit (5) und einer Gegenfläche (6) gebildet ist, gegen die das flexible Preßband (4) durch wenigstens einen der Schuhpreßeinheit (5) zugeordneten Preßschuh (7) preßbar ist, wobei die Preßspaltlänge (lp) zumindest im wesentlichen durch die in Bahnlaufrichtung (2) gemessene Preßschuhlänge der Schuhpreßeinheit (5) bestimmt ist, und die Faserstoffbahn (1) mit zumindest einem Entwässerungsband (8) durch den verlängerten Preßspalt (3) verläuft.
Ziel der Erfindung ist es daher eine Entwässerungspresse der eingangs genannten Art zu schaffen, die mit möglichst geringem technischem Aufwand ein ausreichend gute Entwässerung der Faserstoffbahn (1) gewährleistet.
Erreicht wird dies dadurch, daß die Verweilzeit tw der Faserstoffbahn (1) im verlängerten Preßspalt (3) weniger als 12 ms beträgt.
