Es wird eine Preßvorrichtung zur Herstellung und/oder Behandlung einer Faserstoffbahn (5), insbesondere zur Glättung oder Entwässerung einer Papierbahn beschrieben, die mit zumindest einem Band (6) arbeitet, das im wesentlichen zugfest und nicht dehnbar ausgebildet ist und einen zumindest anteiligen Antrieb der Preßvorrichtung bewirkt.
