Claims (12)

  1. Procédé de revêtement par rideau d'un support en mouvement avec une matière de revêtement liquide, plus particulièrement des émulsion photographiques, la solution de coulée étant guidée en amont de la lèvre de coulée (4) par des plaques de délimitation latérale (2) dont les côtés plans forment un angle par rapport à la surface de la solution de coulée, caractérisé en ce qu'une montée des deux bords de la solution de coulée sur les côtés des plaques de délimitation latérale (2) sous l'effet de la tension superficielle est évitée par le fait que les côtes de ces dernières sont munies d'un tranchant (24).
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel un flux latéral (10) est alimenté au rideau guidé (6) des deux côtés de celui-ci, et la largeur du rideau est supérieure à la largeur du revêtement sur le support, caractérisé en ce que le flux latéral (10) est alimenté transversalement à l'étendue du rideau (6) et parallèlement à la paroi frontale (7') des guidages latéraux (7).
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 2, dans lequel les deux côtés du rideau sont coupés par des lames, caractérisé en ce que les parties latérales coupées du rideau (6) et du flux latéral (10) sont aspirées par une fente d'extraction (18) et un canal d'extraction (19).
  4. Procédé selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que les parties de la solution de coulée qui sont refoulées par l'arête avant de la lame, sont extraites par des ouvertures dans la lame pour éviter la formation d'un bourrelet.
  5.   6. Dispositif selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que les plaques de délimitation latérale (2) sont montées de manière étanche sur les plaques de coulée (1) et couvrent la plaque de coulée frontale (5) jusqu'à la lèvre de coulée (4).
  7. Dispositif selon la revendication 5 ou 6, caractérisé en ce que la distance (H) entre le tranchant (24) et la surface des plaques de coulée (1) est comprise entre 0,3 et 2,5 mm et préférablement égale à 0,8 mm.
  8. Dispositif selon la revendication 5, permettant en outre d'alimenter un flux latéral (10) aux deux côtés du rideau guidé, la largeur du rideau étant supérieure à la largeur du revêtement sur le support, caractérisé en ce qu'une fente de dosage (11) est disposée au-dessus de chaque guidage latéral (7), l'extrémité (12) de la fente permettant d'alimenter ledit flux latéral (10) parallèlement à la paroi frontale (7') du guidage latéral.
  9. Dispositif selon la revendication 5, présentant en outre des lames permettant de découper les deux bords du rideau, caractérisé en ce que le guidage latéral (7) comporte une fente d'extraction (18) sur le haut (17) de chaque lame (15), ladite fente étant reliée à un canal d'extraction (19) afin d'aspirer les parties latérales coupées du rideau (6) et du flux latéral (10).
  10. Dispositif selon la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce que la hauteur de la fente d'extraction (18) est comprise entre 0,05 et 0,5 mm.
  11. Dispositif selon la revendication 9 ou 10, caractérisé en ce que pour éviter la formation d'un bourrelet en bordure, une fente d'extraction (20) est disposée à l'arête inférieure de la lame (15), ladite fente étant reliée à un canal d'extraction (21).
  12. Dispositif selon la revendication 11, caractérisé en ce que la fente d'extraction (18) sur le haut (17) de chaque lame (12) et/ou la fente d'extraction (20) à l'arête inférieure (21) de la lame comporte un système de rinçage à l'eau.
