Device according to claim 5, further designed to supply a lateral flow (10) to both sides of the guided curtain (6), the width of the curtain being greater than the width of the coating on the substrate, characterised in that a metering slit (11) is disposed above each lateral guide (7) whose slit end (12) is designed to supply the lateral flow (10) in parallel to the front wall (7') of the lateral guide.
  9. Device according to claim 5, comprising respective cutters in order to cut off both sides of the curtain, characterised in that the lateral guide (7) is provided on the upper side (17) of each cutter (15) with an extracting slit (18) which is connected to an extracting channel (19) in order to extract the cut sides of the curtain (6) and of the lateral flow (10).
  10. Device according to claim 9, characterised in that the height of the extracting slit (18) is comprised between 0.05 and 0.5 mm.
  11. Device according to claim 9 or 10, characterised in that the lower edge of the cutter (15) comprises an extracting slit (20) which is connected to an extracting channel in order to prevent the formation of a marginal bead.
  12. Device according to claim 11, characterised in that the extracting slit (18) on the upper side (17) of each cutter (12) and/or the extracting slit (20) at the lower edge (21) of the cutter is provided with a water flushing system.
