Carriage unit, in particular for chain hoists, load-lifting means and/or towing cables, which comprises a track-rail section consisting of flange (2) and web (3) portions on which opposed running wheels (7) and guide rollers (9) are supported that are mounted to rotate in wheel supports (4a, 4b) connected laterally underneath the rail cross-section, and of which the guide rollers (9) on both sides of the rail (1) are horizontal guide rollers pairs which rest against the rail cross-section respectively in front of and behind each wheel (3) supported on the flange portion (2) to guide it, at least one of the wheel supports (4a or 4b) having a load suspension mechanism,
    characterised in that
    the guide rollers (9) are guided, at least in stages, in guideways (11) arranged on at least one side on the web (3) of the rail cross-section, which extend in the longitudinal direction perpendicularly to the middle of the web between the flanges.
  2. Carriage unit according to Claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the guideways (11) are formed as guide grooves (11a).
  3. Carriage unit according to Claim 2,
    characterised in that
    the contour of the guide grooves (11a) is complementary to the shape of the guide rollers (9) running in the guide grooves (11a).
  4. Carriage unit according to Claims 2 or 3,
    characterised in that
    the cross-section of the guide grooves (11a) is trapezium-shaped.
  5. Carriage unit according to any of Claims 1 to 4,
    characterised in that
    the edges (12) of the guide rollers (9) are rounded.
  6. Carriage unit according to Claim 5,
    characterised in that
    the edges (12) of the guide rollers (9) run along the oblique sides (13) of the trapezoidal guide grooves (11a), with a gap (15) between the guide rollers (9) and the top (14) of the trapezium of the associated guide groove.
  7. Carriage unit according to any of Claims 1 to 6,
    characterised in that
    the horizontal guide roller pairs (9) in the guideways rest against the web (3) of the rail cross-section under the action of some force.
  8. Carriage unit according to any of Claims 1 to 7,
    characterised in that
    wheel support arms (4a; 4b) are fitted so that they can be swivelled up or inwards in pairs about an axis extending along the direction of the rail (1) and running under the rail cross-section, at whose level or under the hinge (10) formed thereby the wheel support arms (4a; 4b) respectively connected to one another the load acts upon at least one of the wheel support arms (4a or 4b), which are held in a swivelled-in position on the rail cross-section limited by the guide rollers (9) resting in the guideways (11) against the web on both sides, by a closing moment stemming from the load.
  9. Carriage unit according to any of Claims 1 to 8,
    characterised in that
    the running wheel(s) 7 on one side of the rail (1) are staggered in their direction of travel relative to the running wheel(s) (7) on the other side of the rail (1).
