Definitions
- the invention relates to a fusible interlining and its manufacturing process.
- fusible interlining comprising a textile support on which is deposited, by coating, a layer of thermo-adhesive polymers distributed in points.
- linings are specifically intended to be laminated on another textile, for example a drapery, so as to constitute a complex whose physical properties, behavior, nervousness, flexibility, touch, volume, hand, ... can be controlled.
- thermo-adhesive layer These properties of the complex result from the nature of the drapery, from the nature of the textile support, from the interlining, and also from the nature of the composition and of the mode of application of the thermo-adhesive layer.
- the fusible interfacing After being manufactured, the fusible interfacing must be able to withstand storage at room temperature. It is therefore necessary that the different layers of this product, generally stored in rolls, do not adhere with each other.
- the fusible interfacing must not have a tacky effect and adhesive properties at room temperature (“tack").
- the fusible interlining is subsequently laminated to the draperies so as to obtain the desired complex.
- this lamination is carried out using a press operating at temperatures between 90 ° C and 160 ° C, under pressures of a few decibars to a few bars, for relatively short times, of the order of 10 to 30 seconds.
- thermo-adhesive polymers of the interlining must at least partially regain their adhesion properties.
- thermo-adhesive or fusible polymers from piercing the drapery or producing returns, that is to say piercing the textile support of the interlining.
- all fusible interlining is provided so as not to have piercings on the drapery side.
- document FR-A-2 177 038 has proposed making a covering by successively depositing two layers of adhesive on a textile support.
- the first layer is produced by coating a viscous dispersion (paste) containing polymers with high viscosity and / or high melting point higher than that of the temperature necessary for heat sealing, directly on the textile support by means of a frame screen printing.
- the second layer is produced by dusting a powder of heat-bonding polymers with viscosity and / or melting point lower than those of the first layer.
- thermo-adhesive material dispersed in the form of a fine powder above the coated textile support is deposited by gravity on the whole of the support, but adheres more firmly to the dough point.
- thermo-adhesive layer having a higher melting point than those of the thermo-adhesive layer thus form a screen, the adhesive theoretically does not flow through the textile support when the interlining is laminated to a drapery.
- thermo-adhesive material stick to the entire surface of the dough point, in particular at the point of contact between the dough point and the textile support; with the consequence that the thermo-adhesive material present at the point of contact flows through the textile support without the underlayer being able to act as a screen during laminating, bushings then appearing.
- the sub-layer penetrates more or less into the textile support, during direct coating, because of its irregular surface.
- the adhesive surface of the underlay is variable, and, consequently, the quantity of particles also, with harmful consequences on the forces of adhesion between the interlining and the drapery, and particularly on the inhomogeneity of these adhesion forces.
- a first object of the present invention is to provide fusible interlining and its manufacturing process which overcomes the limits or drawbacks of those known from the prior art.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a fusible interlining with which the thermo-adhesive material does not creep through the textile support when it is applied to a drapery.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a fusible interfacing and its manufacturing process in which the adhesive is not in contact with the textile support, but only with the upper part of the underlay.
- the transfer medium can be a cylinder or an endless belt.
- the particles of fusible polymers are applied by dusting and then the polymer particles which are not in direct contact with the points of the undercoat are aspirated.
- the invention also provides a fusible interlining characterized in that it is obtained by the implementation of the method according to the invention.
- a fusible interlining 1 is produced which comprises a textile support 2 comprising on one of its external faces points 3 of thermo-adhesive polymers.
- the textile support 2 can be known per se. It is of the same nature as those conventionally used in the field of interlining.
- the polymer sublayer 5 is first of all deposited in the form of a paste or of dispersion in a solvent such as water in the form of points distributed on a transfer support 6, 7, plane or convex and with a regular and smooth surface.
- a solvent such as water
- the melting point of these polymers is higher than the heat-bonding temperature and therefore above the melting point of fusible polymers.
- the transfer support 6, 7 can be a cylinder 6 or else a transfer mat 7, which preferably forms a closed loop, circulating on transport cylinders 8a, 8b.
- This under-layer forming a screen is carried out by means of a screen printing frame 4.
- This rotary frame in itself known, cooperates with a doctor blade 4a, on the one hand, and with a counter-cylinder. which, as the case may be, is the transfer cylinder 6 or the transport cylinder 8a of the transfer belt 7.
- the axes of the screen printing frame 4 and of the transfer cylinder 6 or of the transport cylinder 8a are mutually parallel and perpendicular to the direction of travel of the textile support 2.
- the screen printing frame 4 allows the implementation of coating processes in the form of paste or in dispersion in a solvent such as water.
- the composition of the sub-layer 5 is variable depending on the applications.
- finely ground materials are used whose melting point is higher than that of the fusible particles 10, for example polyethylenes.
- chemically reactive materials are used so that their reactivity brings them to a fuse also greater than the fusible particles 10, such as aminoplast resins, acrylics, and urethane-acrylate resins, polyurethane resins, epoxy resins.
- This paste is then deposited on the transfer cylinder 6 or the transfer mat 7 and then undergoes transformations aimed at transforming the solvent in whole or in part, and / or in melting the finely ground polymer or in activating by radiation sensitive polymers radiation sources (such as UV, EB, ).
- This pretreatment 16 of the sub-layer 6, prior to its transfer, allows it to be more homogeneous, more coherent so as to facilitate its transfer.
- the next step consists in transferring the network of points of the sublayer 5 on the textile support 2.
- the textile support 2 is pressed, according to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, between the transfer cylinder 6 and a back pressure cylinder 9; and according to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the textile support 2 is pressed between the transport cylinder 8b of the transfer belt 7 and the back-pressure cylinder 9.
- the transfer support 6, 7 is tangent respectively to the screen printing frame 4 in a zone 14 and to the textile support 2 in a zone 15, said zones 14, 15 being in the same plane or in parallel planes.
- the plane or planes containing the axes of rotation of the screen printing frame 4, of the transfer cylinder 6 or of the transfer belt 7, and of the back-pressure cylinder 9 are perpendicular to the plane of the textile support 2.
- the textile support 2 is tangent to each of the two cylinders 6, 9 or 8b, 9 between which it scrolls, in the zone 15.
- the points of the sublayer 5 thus transferred have a flat surface and a small thickness and are arranged on the surface of the textile support 2. On the other hand, their surface is adhesive.
- a device then makes it possible to disperse the particles of fusible polymers 10 on the textile support 2 coated with the sublayer 5. In this way, the particles 10 adhere to the surface of the points of the adhesive sublayer 5.
- These fusible polymer particles 10 can be polyamide or polyester particles whose particle size is between 60 ⁇ m and 200 ⁇ m. The latter stick to the flat surface of the points of the transferred sublayer 5, on the one hand, the other remaining in contact but not adhering to the surface of the textile support 2.
- the assembly In order to rid the textile support 2 of the excess particles 10, and keep only the particles 10 bonded to the flat surface of the points of the underlay 5, the assembly is subjected to a vacuum 11 and to a violent threshing .
- the textile support 2 coated with dots 3 of fusible polymers then passes through a heating and / or radiation enclosure 12 in order in particular to evaporate the solvent contained in the underlayer 5 if necessary, to transform the latter so that its point of is greater than the thermo-adhesive material 10 and to melt the thermo-adhesive particles 10.
- the invention also relates to a fusible interlining 1 obtained by the implementation of the process which has just been described.
- the advantageous properties of the fusible interlining 1 come from the special arrangement particles of fusible polymers 10 with respect to the sublayer 5.
- the latter completely shields the fusible particles 10. That is to say that these particles 10 are not in contact with the textile support 2, but only with the upper part of the thin and perfectly flat underlay 5 (FIG. 3). Consequently, when the interlining 1 is laminated to a drapery, the fusible particles 10 do not flow, under the effect of temperature and pressure, in the textile support 2 since the underlayer coincides exactly with the points of fusible particles 10.
- thermo-adhesive substance 10 could creep through the textile support 2 at the level of the creep zones 17. While this possibility does not exist for the fusible interlining 1 according to the invention, because the under- layers is transferred.

Abstract
Description
- on dépose, au moyen d'un cadre d'impression sérigraphique sur un support de transfert comportant une surface régulière et lisse, une sous-couche de polymères en pâte réticulable ou en dispersion dans un solvant dont le point de fusion est supérieur à une température de thermocollage prédéterminée ;
- on transfère les points de surface plane ainsi obtenus sur le support textile ;
- on applique des particules de polymères thermocollants sur la sous-couche ;
- la figure 1 est une vue schématique d'un dispositif illustrant le procédé de fabrication d'un entoilage selon l'invention ;
- la figure 2 est une vue schématique d'un autre mode de réalisation du dispositif illustrant le procédé de fabrication d'un entoilage selon l'invention ;
- la figure 3 est une vue schématique, en coupe transversale, d'un entoilage thermocollant obtenu par la mise en oeuvre d'un procédé de fabrication conforme à l'invention ;
