Definitions

  • the invention relates to an elastic strand seal for windows, doors or Like.
  • the profile back With a hollow section formed as a head section, the profile back has, which in turn with a sealing foot with retaining lips for anchoring in a retaining groove of a wing rebate or the like is provided.
  • Head area is designed as a closed hollow profile (such as DE-U-84 18 539), because here stronger restoring forces in the sealing area, especially in the case of sealing engagement can be built.
  • the invention proposes an elastic strand seal for windows, doors or the like, the one formed as a hollow cross-section with a profile back has, which in turn with a sealing foot with retaining lips for anchoring in a retaining groove of a wing rebate or the like is provided, with the sealing head on it the side opposite the profile back one of three individual sections existing sealing web, which at one end over one in the direction bulging or buckling on the inside of the hollow cross section Connecting web is connected to one end of the profile back and at his the other end opens into a crossbar, which is at a distance from the The back of the profile is offset and enters it diagonally on the same side as the The sealing web is connected to the back of the profile by the projecting support web, wherein the individual sections of the sealing web are each pivotable to each other are interconnected, viewed in cross section essentially straight run and in the non-installed state of the strand seal the middle Single section to the individual section running from the crosspiece Angle in one direction away
  • An elastic strand seal with the principle used in the invention The construction of the hollow cross-section in the head area allows the absorption of particularly large ones Tolerances, since the sealing web, which is opposite the profile back and the forms opposite side of the hollow side to be sealed of the hollow cross section, as a result of the three individual sections forming it and their mutual arrangement to each other a comparatively large initial width for the hollow cross section covers within which a sealing intervention and thus the formation of a Sealing effect is ensured.
  • the invention offers Sealing profile but also a comparatively soft compression behavior Sealing intervention, for which in particular the special design and alignment of the three Individual sections of the sealing web are responsible.
  • the sealing foot can extend the Profile back or, for other applications, also in the middle of the profile back and can be provided running essentially vertically.
  • sealing foot is provided in the extension of the profile back, it is preferred in Area of the sealing foot another, diagonally to the lower end of the Sealing foot attached second support web attached to the cross bar about where it joins where the support web runs out of the cross web, the support web with the profile back and the second support web one triangular arrangement.
  • a particularly preferred embodiment of the strand seal according to the invention consists in that the support web on its web section adjacent to the cross web one bulging towards the inside of the hollow cross section of the sealing head Has thickening, against which the side facing the crossbar connected individual section of the sealing web when swiveling in sealing engagement can be created.
  • the support web on its web section adjacent to the cross web one bulging towards the inside of the hollow cross section of the sealing head Has thickening, against which the side facing the crossbar connected individual section of the sealing web when swiveling in sealing engagement can be created.
  • one could enter the interior of the Hollow cross-section bulging thickened on the inside of this Individual section (or only on this). This prevents effective in case of sealing interference an undesired folding up or setting up the Crossbar.
  • Another preferred configuration of the elastic strand seal also exists in that from the end of the profile back from which the connecting web runs, in a distance that is greater than the maximum bulge of the connecting web Sealing engagement is on the inner side in the hollow cross section of the head area of the profile back a projecting shape is attached to the Sealing engagement of the central individual section of the sealing web is not yet present when the individual section of the sealing web connected to the crossbar on the thickening of the Support web comes to the plant, however, if the Sealing gap also supports the central individual section of the sealing web compared to the profile back and can then build a high Resistance to further narrowing of the sealing gap occurs.
  • connection of the individual section of the sealing web with each other or with each assigned connecting or crossbar is preferably in each case via a Hinge point, which is advantageously local in the form of a web cross section debilitating recess or keyway are connected.
  • the central individual section of the sealing web in the from Connecting bridge from the running individual section on the back of the profile faces the underside, this individual section over the Connection point extends to the central section and the protruding end section, which protrudes freely in the form of an obliquely forward Sealing lip (when the seal is not installed) is present, when sealing engagement and when aligning the two individual sections to each other in one on the corresponding depression on the outside of the middle web section can be pivoted in such a way that, in the aligned state, that of the hollow cross section remote outer sides of both individual sections lie essentially in one plane, with which the formation of a particularly large sealing surface is possible.
  • the length of the central individual section of the sealing web is preferably greater than that
  • the length of each of the other two individual sections is selected, preferably again the middle single section about twice the length of each of the two other individual sections which are essentially of equal size to one another. It has shown that with such a geometry particularly favorable conditions Sealing engagement can be created.
  • crosspiece connects one to the connection point with the a single section protruding web section directed away from the profile back formed.
  • the sealing profile shown in cross section (enlarged) in FIG. 1, which is preferred from a foamed material or from an elastic material such as TPE, soft PVC or APTK, has a head region 1 designed as a hollow cross section with a profile back 2 and a foot area 3, on which an obliquely one-sided upwardly projecting retaining lip is attached, which is still on its underside once a smaller retaining lip 5 for better anchoring in a (not shown)
  • Receiving groove 20 of a sash rebate 21 of a window or a door (cf. Fig. 7).
  • a hollow web 6 On the opposite side of the A hollow web 6 is provided, which consists of three individual sections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 exists.
  • the top individual section 6.1 in FIG. 1 is at its top End via a connecting web 7 with the upper end of the profile back 2 connected.
  • the connecting web 7 is, as the figures show, in the direction of the Inside of the hollow cross section bent or bulged.
  • the sealing web 6 runs on its lower, i.e. the foot area 3 facing End in a crosspiece 8, which in turn is at a small distance from this
  • the junction in the direction of the profile back 2 is offset at an angle extending support web 9 passes, which in turn from the cross web 8 from the same Side projects as the sealing web 6 and obliquely the cross web 8 with the profile back 2 connects.
  • a second support web 10 branches diagonally from the cross web 8 down towards the foot end of the profile back 2.
  • the first support web 9, the form second support web 10 and the profile back 2 as the figures show well, a very dimensionally stable triangular cross-section at the end of the sealing engagement becomes very stiff.
  • the lengths L1, L and L3 of the individual sections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 of the sealing web 6 are chosen in the embodiment shown so that the length L of the middle Section 6.2 twice as long as the length L1 of section 6.1 or Length L3 of section 6.3 is where lengths L1 and L3 of the two Individual sections 6.1 and 6.3 are approximately the same size.
  • FIGS. 1 to 3 the interior of the hollow cross-section is facing side of the profile back 2 on this (and in addition also on Support web 9) a projecting profile 12 formed in the form of two there protruding, mirror-symmetrical individual projections 12.1 (on the profile back 2) and 12.2 (on the support web 9) is formed.
  • These ledges 12.1 and 12.2 project, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, equally far into the interior of the Hollow cross section in front and serve in the installed state, as shown in Fig. 10 is, for this purpose, an additional support of the central individual section 6.2 of the Form sealing web 6 when this over that shown in Fig.
