- the sponge-like, elastic material 12.1 is preferably connected in a suitable manner to an essentially inelastic carrier material 12.2.
- the connection can be made by twisting, stranding or intertwining the two materials 12.1, 12.2 or in some other way, for example by gluing or the production of a composite material from 12.1 and 12.2.
- the carrier material 12.2 also forms the soul of the rope-like cleaning doctor element 12.
- the Cross section can, however possibly also slightly oval or polygonal be a rotation or torsion of the cleaning doctor element 12 due to the force of liquid or pasty Avoid medium or the application roller 2.
- FIG. 4 shows one in the viewing direction according to arrow II in FIG. 1 schematic front view of the device according to the invention in the area of the cleaning squeegee 7 with further details.
- the Basic structure of the cleaning squeegee 7 essentially corresponds the structure as it is in connection with FIGS. 2 and 3 has been described. Complementing this, however, are the end faces free end of the rope-like cleaning doctor element 12 with itself extending in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning doctor element Extensions 12.3 provided, the end sections on two each driven to the side of the doctor bed 13 Coil devices 24 are wound.
- the driven Coil devices 24 act as moving devices for Moving the cleaning doctor element 12.
- the mobility of the Coil devices 24 is in the drawing by double arrows indicated. This variant is preferably a oscillating movement or a gradual movement of the Cleaning doctor element 12 in a substantially parallel to realized the longitudinal direction D extending direction.
- FIG. 5 shows one schematic front view of a second embodiment of the Device according to the invention in the area of the cleaning squeegee 7 with further details.
- the basic structure of the cleaning squeegee 7 again essentially corresponds to that according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the peculiarity of this variant is that the free Ends of the cleaning doctor element 12 to form an endless loop are joined together and this endless loop over several Deflection or support rollers 25, 26 runs, one the rollers also serves as the drive roller 26.
- This Arrangement is particularly suitable for a continuous or periodically moving the cleaning doctor element 12 in one essentially to the longitudinal extent D of the Cleaning doctor element 12 parallel direction. at a periodic movement is the drive roller 26 in present case designed so that the cleaning doctor element 12 is moved a little further through the doctor bed 13.
- the mobility of the endless cleaning doctor element 12 is indicated in the drawing by a double arrow.
- the device according to the invention further comprises a cleaning device 27 for the cleaning doctor element 12.

- To avoid excessive Pressure loss in the liquid chamber 28 is in this Embodiment preferably to use a doctor bed 13 that is not divided into a variety of sections or only with comparatively small openings for the liquid or pasty medium is equipped.
- the advantage of the design features according to FIG. 6 is primary in that even if the Cleaning doctor element 12 this due to the Pressurizing the liquid chamber 28 of the doctor bed 13 always pressed securely and precisely against the application roller 2 becomes.
- the doctor bed 13 of the Cleaning squeegee element 12 not in those described above
- the Cleaning doctor element 12 abuts the roller 2 and just a subset of the liquid or pasty medium over a small gap of about 0 to 1 mm between Cleaning doctor element 12 and applicator roller 2 to the Return channel 16 can overflow.
- This gap i.e. the Distance of the side facing the application roller 2 Cleaning doctor element 12 to the surface of the roller 2, is preferably adjustable. Allow these features advantageously both an effective cleaning effect through the cleaning doctor element 12 as well as a Overflow control of the liquid or pasty medium.
- this cleaning squeegee band also by connecting several juxtaposed rope-like Doctor blade element parts that have a round, square or have a rectangular cross section or the like, be made.
- the complete cleaning doctor element can also other than that mentioned in the context of the description Have cross-sectional shapes.
- Cleaning doctor element with additional profiles equip that with certain drive or Mechanisms of movement of the device correspond, for example one additional tooth-like or V-belt-like profiling, the with a suitable gear or a V-belt pulley or the like engages.
- This profiling is preferably on one side of the cleaning doctor element attach that does not have the material web or the roller roams.
