Abstract

The mechanism consists of a lock (1) mounted on the outer surface of a frame member (2) and equipped with an actuator (3) controlling the movement of an inner mechanism. The inner mechanism comprises a connector (5) which interacts with the actuator (3) and a flat strip (6) which operates one or more locking catches (8a, 8b) engaging with holes (6) in the fixed frame (9). Each of the catches is held against the inner wall of the sliding frame member (2) by a fixing (10a, 10b) in the form of a plate fitted between the frame member wall and a depth regulator (7) which controls the depth of the catch's penetration into the fixed frame hole.
