Abstract

An electric light for an oven has a transparent lamp cover and a metal housing fitted in an opening in one of the oven chamber walls, the cover being screwed by a screw fitting into the housing. The novelty is that (a) the metal housing (3) is fixed on the outside of the oven chamber wall (8); and (b) the lamp cover (4) is screwed into the housing with interposition of a metal ring (9) acting on the inside of the oven chamber wall (8).

Description

Eine Leuchte der in Rede stehenden Art ist aus DE-U-89 00 744 bekannt. Bei solchen Leuchten muß die am Lampengehäuse gehalterte transparente Lampenabdeckung gegenüber diesem gut abgedichtet sein, um den Eintritt und den Niederschlag von Wrasen auf die im Lampengehäuse untergebrachte Lampe während der Back- und Bratvorgänge auszuschließen. Desweiteren soll die transparente Lampenabdeckung auch wiederum leicht lösbar sein, um bei Ausfall der Lampe diese ohne Schwierigkeiten auswechseln zu können. Bei der bekannten Lampe ist die transparente Abdeckung unter Zwischenlage eines Dichtelementes aus Glasseide in das Lampengehäuse eingeschraubt. Ein solches Dichtelement aus Glasseide ist aber für diesen Zweck verhältnismäßig teuer.A lamp of the type in question is known from DE-U-89 00 744. Die in der Zeichnung dargestellte elektrische Leuchte für den Einsatz im Muffelraum von Back- und Bratöfen hat eine Lampenfassung 1 aus Isolierstoff als Träger für einen Leuchtkörper 2, ein die Lampenfassung in sich aufnehmendes Metallgehäuse 3 sowie eine in das Metallgehäuse 3 einschraubbare und damit lösbare transparente Lampenabdeckung 4. Die Lampenabdeckung 4 besitzt einen Schraubansatz 5 und das Metallgehäuse 3 die entsprechenden Einschraubgewindegänge dazu. Das Metallgehäuse 3 weist seitlich abstehende Befestigungslappen 6,6' mit je einem Loch für Befestigungsschrauben 7,7' auf. Das Metallgehäuse 3 ist zweckmäßig an der Außenseite der Muffelraumwand 8 einer nicht weiter dargestellten Ofenmuffel angebracht. Das Befestigen des Metallgehäuses 3 an der Außenseite der Muffelraumwand 8 erfolgt mittels der die Befestigungslappen 6,6' durchsetzenden Befestigungsschrauben 7,7'. Die Befestigungsschrauben 7,7' dienen in diesem Fall zweckmäßig zugleich als Erdung für das Metallgehäuse 3. Die Lampenabdeckung 4 ist unter Zwischenschaltung eines gegen die Innenseite der Muffelraumwand wirkenden Metallringes 9 in das Metallgehäuse 3 eingeschraubt. Der Metallring 9 ist auf dem Schraubansatz 5 der Lampenabdeckung 4 aufgebracht und hat eine umlaufende muldenartige Vertiefung 10, durch die nach Einschrauben der Lampenabdeckung 4 die Spitzen 11,11' der Befestigungsschrauben 7,7' zum Muffelraum hin ab- bzw. überdeckt sind. Der Rand 12 des Metallringes 9 liegt dabei dicht an der Innenseite der Muffelraumwand 8 an.
