Abstract

This novel electrical lighting system is designed for oven interiors. The lamp housing and its transparent cover are set into a wall opening; the lighting system sealed from the oven chamber. In novel design, the seal (4) mounts the lamp housing (1), pressing both against oven wall (3) and against lamp cover (2). Preferably, the seal (4) locates on, and edges the encircling flat flange (5) of the housing (1). The seal comprises a U-shaped cross section (6) connected to a sealing profile (7), running roughly parallel to, and overlapping it (7) with a sealing lip (8). The sealing profile (7) with the U-section (6) enclose a hollow cavity (9). The lip (8) rests on the internal oven wall (3) and is made of silicone rubber.

Beleuchtungsvorrichtungen der in Rede stehenden Art sind allgemein bekannt. Bei solchen Beleuchtungsvorrichtungen muß sowohl das Lampengehäuse als auch die Lampengehäuse-Montageöffnung in der betreffenden Muffelraumwand dampfdicht verschlossen werden, um einerseits den Eintritt und den Niederschlag von Wrasen auf die im Lampengehäuse untergebrachte Lampe während der Back- und Bratvorgänge auszuschließen und andererseits ein Abströmen von Wrasen über die Lampen-Montageöffnung nach außen hin zu verhindern. Die Anordnung eines Dichtringes zwischen Lampenabdeckung und dem Rand des Lampengehäuses, wie es bekannt ist, erfüllt die aufgezeigten Forderungen nur ungenügend.Lighting devices of the type in question are generally known. Die in der Zeichnung dargestellte elektrische Beleuchtungsvorrichtung für die Beleuchtung des Muffelraumes von Back- und Bratöfen hat ein Lampengehäuse 1 zum Aufnehmen eines Leuchtkörpers und eine transparente Lampenabdeckung 2. Das Lampengehäuse 1 dieser Beleuchtungsvorrichtung ist in einer Öffnung in einer der Muffelraumwände 3 der nicht weiter dargestellten Ofenmuffel eingesetzt und dort gehaltert. Um einerseits ein Eindringen von Wrasen in das Lampengehäuse 1 und andererseits ein Austreten von Wrasen über die Lampengehäuse-Montageöffnung nach außen hin zu verhindern, ist in diesem Bereich eine elastische Abdichtung 4 vorgesehen, die zweckmäßig Montagebestandteil des Lampengehäuses 1 ist und sowohl gegen die Muffelraumwand 3 als auch gegen die Lampenabdeckung 2 gepreßt ist.The electrical lighting device shown in the drawing for lighting the muffle room of baking and roasting ovens has a lamp housing 1 for receiving a luminous element and a transparent lamp cover 2. Der Flanschrand 5 des Lampengehäuses 1 ist von dem im Querschnitt U-förmigen Basiskörper durch seine beiden Schenkel 10, 11 eingefaßt, wobei der Schenkel 10 über seine gesamte Fläche dicht gegen die Muffelraumwand 3 gepreßt ist. Der am Schenkel 11 angeformte Dichtungssteg 7 liegt ganzflächig an der Lampenabdeckung 2 an, wobei dessen Dichtlippe 8 an der Muffelraumwand 3 angreift und dort eine zusätzliche Abdichtungsbarriere zur Muffelraumwand 3 hin bildet.
