Description

The invention is based on a lighting device in a stove according to the preamble of claim 1.

In a known lighting device for ovens (DE-OS 32 19 326), a lamp holder with lamps is arranged vertically behind an opening in the appliance wall, the lamp axis running parallel to the appliance wall. The aforementioned opening is closed by a transparent cover made of glass or plastic. Although there is noticeable thermal insulation from the oven space due to the cover, there is reason to fear that the lamp and lamp holder may be damaged by overheating when the oven is operated at high temperature, particularly when it is self-cleaning through pyrolysis with operating temperatures of around 500 ° C., in particular as a result of heat radiation through the glass cover. intensified by the self-heating of the lamp itself. The lighting device is not intended and also not suitable for microwave operation. In another known lighting device in a microwave oven (DE-PS 36 06 421), in turn, a lamp holder with a lamp is arranged behind an opening in the cooking space wall, the axis of which is perpendicular to the cooking space wall. The opening is in turn closed by a glass cover. Around To protect the lamp itself and the lamp holder from the harmful effects of microwave energy, the lamp and lamp holder are largely surrounded by a metallic sleeve, this metallic sleeve having a perforation for ventilation of the lamp area and for the exit of light rays through the perforation in the direction of a serving as a reflector part of the wall of the lamp housing. With this construction too, the lamp would be exposed to extreme heat radiation during high or maximum temperature operation. The lamp is also surrounded by a perforated metallic sleeve in other known lighting devices in a microwave oven (DE-A-37 32 690; EP-A-0 310 741), the lamp or sleeve axis running parallel to the cooking chamber wall.

The invention has for its object to obtain effective protection of the lamp from harmful influences emanating from the oven cavity with structurally simple and spatially inexpensive means.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the measures listed in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous further developments of the invention result from the following patent claims.

Due to the sleeve made of transparent material and its arrangement in relation to the opening in the cooking space wall, an effective thermal barrier is obtained for the heat radiation emanating from the cooking space, at which the heat radiation is partly reflected or absorbed and is diverted to the metallic lamp housing, which The lamp housing itself is located in a relatively cool area outside the oven. The sleeve can be double-sided open tube-like element or as an element that is only open on one side, it being possible in the latter case, during normal operation of the cooker, to even dispense with a cover closing the opening in the cooking space wall. In any case, it is advantageous if the sleeve at least largely covers the lamp and lamp holder. Due to the sleeve and the arrangement of ventilation slots in the lamp housing and in the sleeve itself, a kind of chimney effect for cooling air is achieved within the sleeve, the cooling air flowing directly around the lamp holder and lamp and dissipating the operating heat. This effect occurs in particular when the sleeve and the lamp are vertical, where, as a result of natural convection, heated air flows from the bottom to the top and thereby also flows through the lamp housing.

A particular advantage of the lighting device according to the invention is that it can be used universally for different operating modes. It can be used for maximum temperature operation, e.g. Self-cleaning operation by pyrolysis as well as for microwave operation, provided that the sleeve is provided with a lattice-like, metallic and microwave-tight shielding, which can be done in a simple manner by means of a metallic shielding grid inserted into the sleeve or by means of metallic printing. In any case, the lamp and lamp holder are effectively protected against harmful influences from the cooking space. Last but not least, the special geometric arrangement of the lamp holder and lamp results in a very flat design.

Fig. 1

Ausführungsvarianten der Hülse der Beleuchtungseinrichtung in Seitenansicht.
The invention is explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1
2 shows a sectional view of the lighting device according to the invention connected to a cooking space wall of an oven, not shown,
2 and 3
Variants of the sleeve of the lighting device in side view.

In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a vertical cooking chamber wall of an oven, not shown, into which, for example, a circular opening 2 is incorporated. Attached to an outwardly drawn ring flange 3 of the cooking space wall 1, for example by screws or the like, is a metallic lamp housing 4 which tightly encloses the opening in the cooking space wall and forms a housing space 5. This lamp housing 4 has resilient holding elements 6 for holding onto the opening 2, made of glass or glass-like material, lens-like cover 7, the ring flange 8 of which snaps onto the holding elements 6. Attached to the lower base part 9 of the lamp housing is a lamp socket 10 of conventional design, into which a lamp 11 is inserted or screwed, the lamp axis a running parallel to the plane of the cooking space wall 1 at a distance. The lamp holder 10 and lamp 11 are at least largely surrounded by a tubular sleeve 12 made of glass or glass-like material, for example plastic, which is open at both ends in the first variant and which largely allows light rays to pass through unimpeded. This sleeve is shown in detail in Fig. 2. It can be seen that a lattice-like, metallic shield 13 is incorporated in the glass material in the form of lattice-like arranged metallic wires, the ends of which extend over the lower sleeve boundary 14 protrude. On the cantilevered ends of the shielding, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the entire sleeve 12 is attached to the metallic lamp holder 10, specifically in that a plurality of spring washers 15 are pressed onto these wire ends with elastic deformation, which spring washers are in contact with the wire ends and clamp or claw the bottom part of the lamp housing 4. In this way, a continuous, metallic and electrically conductive connection is created between the metallic shield and the metallic lamp housing 4, which in turn is in direct metallic contact, with the cooking chamber wall, which prevents microwaves from entering the inner region of the sleeve 12. As in Fgi. 3, instead of a wire-like shield, a shield 13 'can also be produced by evaporating a suitable metal layer in a grid-like structure onto the outer surface of the sleeve 12'. In both variants, the passage of light through the sleeve 12, 12 'is no longer noticeably impeded. The luminous efficiency on the one hand and the thermal insulating ability of the sleeve 12 can be further improved in that the shield has a surface that reflects heat rays well, for example has a silvery surface that strongly reflects heat and light rays.

Fig. 1 shows that the lamp housing 4 is provided in the lower region and in the upper region with ventilation slots 16, also on the bottom part 9. Likewise, the sleeve 12 or 12 'on the bottom part has ventilation slots 17, as can be seen from the ventilation arrows through these ventilation slots 16, 17 relatively cool air flows into the housing space 5 of the lamp housing 4 and flows around the outside of the sleeve and through the inside and again at the top emerge. In this way, the lamp holder 10 and lamp 11 are flowed around in a very intensive manner, so that the operating heat is dissipated during lamp operation.

In Fig. 1 it is indicated by dash-dotted lines that the sleeve 12 can also be closed at the top by an extension 18, with the exception of a ventilation opening 19 through which the aforementioned cooling air can flow upwards. In this way, an outer cover 7 can be dispensed with during normal operation of the cooker.

In order to increase the overall light yield of the lighting device, the inner surface of the lamp housing 4 can be provided with a surface that reflects light rays well and serves as a reflector.
