Definitions

  • the invention relates to a mixing device for mixing liquid with dry material, with a screw thread-provided, screw cap-holding mixing vessel for receiving the liquid and a receptacle arranged between the upper edge of the mixing vessel and the screw cap for receiving the dry material before the mixing process.
  • a typical example of such mixing processes is the blending of bleaching agents in hairdressing companies.
  • a bleaching granulate is usually removed in a metered amount from a bottle and placed in a mixing bowl. If the bleaching agent is in the form of bleaching powder, it is removed from a packaging using a measuring spoon and placed in the mixing bowl. Before or after, a quantity of liquid dosed with a measuring cup is placed in the mixing bowl. The liquid and dry material are mixed with a brush to get a creamy mass.
  • the metering of the bleaching granulate or the bleaching powder by means of a dosing cap or a measuring spoon is associated with considerable inaccuracy, so that often liquid or dry material has to be added in order to obtain the desired consistency.
  • the open handling of the dry material in the form of bleaching granules or bleaching powder leads to undesirable dust generation.
  • a holding insert is used to hold the dry material, which insert is located between the upper edge of the Mixing vessel and the screw cap is used.
  • the receiving insert consists of a closed insert container containing the dry material, the wall of which faces the mixing vessel when the screw cap is screwed on, i.e.
  • Dust formation is excluded here; however, individual metering of the amount to be mixed is not possible, since the entire contents of the insert container must be mixed in each case. Especially when bleaching agents are blended, very different amounts of bleaching agents are required depending on the amount of hair to be bleached.
  • a simple, safe and selectable dosage of the dry material in avoidable dust formation could be to provide the dry material in tablet form and to add the required number of tablets to the mixing vessel before it is sealed.
  • a complete dissolution of the tablet in the liquid to achieve a homogeneous, user-friendly mass is not ensured because, on the one hand, the surface of a tablet wetted by the liquid is relatively small compared to its mass, so that the dissolution process proceeds slowly, and because on the other hand, when the mixing vessel is closed - even if it were made of transparent material - there is insufficient control as to when the dissolution process has been completed.
  • the mixing vessel is closed - even if it were made of transparent material - there is insufficient control as to when the dissolution process has been completed.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to design a mixing device of the type mentioned in the introduction in such a way that a simple and accurate, individual metering of the dry material is made possible while maintaining a dust-free mixing process and a sufficiently rapid dissolution process.
  • the receiving insert in a lower part has a plurality of tablet receptacles, from each of which at least one passage opening opens into the mixing vessel, and that crushing projections projecting into the tablet receptacles of the lower part are arranged on an upper insert part.
  • This mixing device makes it possible for the first time to take advantage of the advantages of providing the dry material in tablet form.
  • the individual dosing of the dry material is made possible by equipping tablets with a different number of tablet receptacles of the lower part of the insert.
  • the disadvantage of a considerably delayed dissolution process associated with the addition of the dry material in tablet form is effectively overcome in that the tablets in the tablet receptacles are comminuted by the crushing projections before they reach the mixing vessel through the passage openings. Residues of the tablets remaining in the tablet receptacles are washed out and / or dissolved in the subsequent mixing process in which the mixing device is shaken.
  • Dust formation is completely avoided because the tablets are not crushed until the mixing vessel is closed, so that the dust that develops cannot escape.
  • An insert container for holding the dry material, which would have to be disposed of after emptying and mixing, is no longer required.
  • the insert can be cleaned and reused after each mixing process.
  • each comminution projection is directed towards a passage opening.
  • a particularly effective disintegration of the tablet is thus achieved.
  • the crushing projections directed towards these passage openings in each case the tablet is granulated into a predetermined maximum grain size crushed, whereby the dissolution process is accelerated and at the same time it is ensured that not individual fragments of the tablet which significantly delay the dissolution process remain.
  • the insert upper part is preferably connected to the insert lower part in a hinged manner via a joint which can preferably be designed as an elastic folding hinge. This ensures cohesion of the two parts of the receiving insert and at the same time sufficient initial centering of these two parts to one another.
  • the mixing device shown in the drawing is used, for example, for mixing bleaching agents in Hairdressers.
  • An activator liquid 2 is contained in a metered amount in a cup-shaped mixing vessel 1.
  • the mixing vessel 1 has an outer screw thread 3, onto which a screw cap 5 provided with an inner screw thread 4 can be screwed in order to tightly close the mixing vessel 1.
  • a receiving insert 7 is arranged, which has an insert upper part 8 and an insert lower part 9, which are hingedly connected to one another via an elastic folding hinge 10 acting as a joint.
  • the dry material to be mixed with the liquid 2 is provided in the form of tablets 11.
  • the lower insert 9 has a plurality of tablet receptacles 12, in each of which one tablet 11 can be accommodated. As can be seen from FIG. 1, not all tablet receptacles 12 are equipped with a tablet 11.
  • the amount of dry material to be mixed with the liquid 2 is determined by the number of tablets 11 which are inserted into the tablet receptacles 12.
  • the lower insert 9 is centered on the mixing vessel 1 by a circumferential centering edge 13 which engages over the ring shoulder 6.
  • the top hinge 8 is pre-centered relative to the bottom insert 9 by the folding hinge 10.
  • Each tablet receptacle 12 has a plurality of through openings 14 opening into the mixing vessel 1, which in the exemplary embodiment shown are designed as round holes, as can be seen from the enlarged illustration in FIG. 4.
  • the passage openings 14 are separated from one another by lattice webs 15, each one for Have tablet receptacle 12 directed, sharp web edge 15a.
  • Comminution projections 16 projecting into the tablet receptacles 12 are arranged on the upper insert part 8. Each comminution projection 16 is provided with a tip 16a directed towards the tablet receptacle 12 and is each directed towards a passage opening 14. This can be seen particularly clearly from the comparison of FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • the shape and size of the tablet receptacles 12 and the tablets 11 provided are expediently matched to one another.
  • the corresponding number of tablets 11 is inserted into the tablet receptacles 12.
  • the upper insert 8 is positively folded over the lower insert 9, the tablet receptacles 12 already being closed to such an extent that the tablets 11 are prevented from falling out.
  • the receiving insert 7 thus prepared is placed on the edge of the mixing vessel 1, and the screw cap 5 is screwed on and initially assumes the position shown in FIG. 1, the mixing vessel 1 having already been closed.
