Description

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Handschuh mit Daumengelenkschutz.
Die US 4,295,229 betrifft einen Football-Handschuh mit einem Gelenk- und einem Handschutz für offensive oder defensive "linemen". Der Gelenk- und der Handschutz bestehen aus je einem Polster. Während das Gelenkpolster sich von der Hand über das Handgelenk erstreckt, erstreckt sich das Handpolster über den Handrücken bis zu den metacarpophalangen Fingergelenken. An den Fingerpolstern sind herunterhängende Fingerschlaufen aus einem elastischen Material vorgesehen. Diese elastischen Schlaufen sollen nicht nur Finger unterschiedlicher Grösse unterbringen können, sondern gleichzeitig auch das Beugen und den Gebrauch der Finger ermöglichen. Für den Daumen ist ein Daumenpolster vorgesehen, an welchem ebenfalls eine elastische Daumenschlaufe angeordnet ist. Um ein übermässiges Dehnen der in den elastischen Fingerschlaufen steckenden Finger zu verhindern, sind Begrenzungsbänder aus einem unelastischen Material vorgesehen, welche um die Fingerschlaufen gelegt und an diesen festgenäht sind. Die elastische Daumenschlaufe ist von einem am Daumenpolster angeordneten Begrenzungsband umgeben. Weiter ist das Begrenzungsband und das Daumenpolster über obere und untere Lederteile mit dem Fingerpolster verbunden, um eine allzu grosse Daumenauslenkung zu verhindern.
Der beschriebene Handschuh ist speziell für den Footballsport konzipiert. Bezüglich des vorgeschlagenen Daumenschutzes ist nachteilig, dass das Daumenpolster permanent mit dem Fingerpolster verbunden ist und dass somit die Bewegungsfreiheit des Daumens permanent eingeschränkt ist.
Die FR-A-2 647 314 beschreibt einen Daumenschutz aus einem Verstärkungselement aus Kunststoff oder Metall, welches die Bewegung des Daumens begrenzt. Das Verstärkungselement hat im wesentlichen die Form eines zusammengedrückten kreisförmigen Bandes, dessen eine Extremität mit einer Rinne verlängert ist. Die Rinne ist für die Aufnahme des Daumens gedacht. Das Verstärkungselement ist vorzugsweise in einem Handschuh integriert. Nachteilig am beschriebenen Daumenschutz ist, dass das in einem Handschuh integrierte Verstärkungselement die Bewegungsfreiheit des Daumens dauernd einschränkt. Ausserdem dürfte der Handschuhträger das Verstärkungselement dann, wenn kein Sport ausgeübt wird, als störend empfinden. Es ist daher auch vorgesehen, einen Daumenschutz zu verwenden, der nicht im Handschuh integriert ist, sondern mit verschiedenen Handschuhen verwendet werden kann. Wenn aber der Daumenschutz nicht in einem Handschuh integriert ist, ist das Anziehen von Daumenschutz und Handschuh ziemlich beschwerlich und zeitaufwendig und es besteht die Gefahr, dass der Daumenschutz verloren geht.
Die DE-A-37 25 516 beschreibt einen Daumenschutz aus einem Futteral, welches über den Daumenbereich eines Handschuhs gezogen wird. Der untere Bereich des Futterals ist fest mit dem Handschuh verbunden, sodass die radiale Bewegung des Daumens beschränkt ist. In einer anderen Ausführungsform sind an einer Daumentasche und am Fingerbereich des Handschuhs Oesen vorgesehen, durch welche ein Schnurband gezogen und dann befestigt werden kann. Nachteilig an der letztgenannten Lösung ist, dass der Handschuh nicht alleine angezogen werden kann, da sich das Schnurband einhändig nicht festbinden lässt.
Das US-Patent 3,100,302 offenbart einen Golfhandschuh, bei welchem das Band der Aufnahme des Golfschlägers und nicht des Daumens dient. Zur Aufnahme des Daumens ist das dargestellte Band nicht geeignet. Es handelt sich also beim Golfhandschuh der US-Patent 3,100,302 um einen gattungsfremden Handschuh.
Das US-Patent 2,380,633 beschreibt einen Handschuh, welcher als Fäustling und als Fingerhandschuh einsetzbar ist, ohne dass der Benutzer die Hand aus dem Handschuh ziehen müsste. Zu diesem Zweck besitzt der als Fäustling ausgebildete Handschuh eine separate Zeigefingertasche, in welche der Zeigefinger zum Ausführen bestimmter Tätigkeiten gesteckt werden kann. Wird der Zeigefinger nicht benötigt, so verstaut man die Zeigefingertasche unter einem Rückhalteband. Aus der US 2,380,633 sind keine Anregungen zu entnehmen, das Band zur Verhinderung von Daumenverletzungen einzusetzen. Das Band in der US-Patent 2,380,633 dient dazu, die leere Zeigefingertasche zu verstauen.
Die französische Schrift FR-A-2 543 801 offenbart u.a. in den Figuren 4 und 5 einen Handschuh, bei welchem zur Vermeidung von Daumenverletzungen ein Band um den Handschuh gewickelt ist. Das um das metakarpale Daumengelenk gelegte Band verhindert jede Bewegung des Daumens nach aussen und kann so das Gelenk vor einer Ueberdehnung oder Bruch schützen.
Das deutsche Gebrauchsmuster DE-U-93 03 144.0 offenbart einen Schihandschuh speziell für Schifahrer. Am Daumen dieses Schihandschuhs ist das eine Ende eines ca. 8 cm langen Klettbandes angenäht. Das andere Ende des Klettbandes kann mit einem Gegenstück, welches auf dem Zeigefingerrücken aufgenäht ist, zusammenwirken. Wird der Schistock in der Hand gehalten, wird der Daumen mittels des Klettbandes um den Schistockgriff herum mit dem Zeigefinger verbunden. Nachteilig an dieser Lösung ist, dass das Anlegen des Bandes an beiden Händen ohne fremde Hilfe äusserst beschwerlich ist. Ein weiter Nachteil ist, dass der wiederholt zu öffnende Klettenverschluss im Winter durch Schnee vereisen kann und dann nicht mehr hält.
Es ist Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, einen Handschuh zur Verfügung zu stellen, welcher je nach dem Bedürfnis des Benützers einerseits einen wirksamen Schutz vor einer Daumenluxation und andererseits eine normale, uneingeschränkte Bewegung des Daumens ermöglicht. Insbesondere sollte der Handschuhträger die Wahl haben, ob er den Daumengelenkschutz benützen oder auf ihn verzichten möchte. Auch sollte der Handschuhträger den Daumenschutz selbst und möglichst rasch an- oder ablegen können.
Ein solcher Gelenkschutz ist insbesondere für Sporttreibende, wie Ski- oder Snowboardfahrer gedacht, die sich bei Stürzen besonders häufig Gelenkluxationen im Daumenwurzelbereich zuziehen. Der erfindungsgemässe Daumengelenkschutz hat aber für den Benützer noch den grossen Vorteil, dass er diesen jederzeit aktivieren oder desaktivieren kann, ohne dass er den Handschuh dazu ausziehen müsste. Es besteht auch keine Gefahr, dass der Gelenkschutz verlorengehen könnte, da dieser am Handschuh integriert ist. Um den Gelenkschutz wirksam werden zu lassen, braucht der Daumen einfach in die Schlaufe gesteckt zu werden. Der Handschuh hat auch den überraschenden und insbesondere von Snowboardfahrern äusserst geschätzten Vorteil, dass der in der Schlaufe sitzende Daumen immer noch eine gewisse Bewegungsfreiheit hat, sodass mit der Hand Greifbewegungen ausgeführt und Gegenstände wie Sonnenbrillen, Taschentücher oder auch kleine Sportgeräte festgehalten werden können. Wird noch mehr Bewegungsfreiheit gewünscht, so kann der Benützer des Handschuhs - im Unterschied zu den eingangs erwähnten Daumengelenkschützen - den Daumen mit Leichtigkeit aus der Schlaufe ziehen.
Vorteilhaft ist die Schlaufe durch ein nicht dehnbares Band, z.B. ein Nylonband, gebildet. Es kann aber auch ein elastisches Band vorgesehen sein. Ein solches Band erhöht den Tragkomfort. Die Schlaufe sollte so bemessen sein, dass der Winkel zwischen Daumen und Zeigefinger ungefähr 60° nicht überschreiten kann. Die Befestigung der Schlaufe einerseits seitlich ungefähr am Zeigefingeransatz und andererseits an der Handschuhinnenseite ungefähr im Bereich des Ringfingers hat den Vorteil, dass der Daumen dadurch praktisch parallel zu den anderen Finger ausgerichtet ist. Ausserdem kann er relativ nahe beim Zeige- und Mittelfinger angeordnet sein. Eine Verletzung des Daumenwurzelbereichs bei einem Sturz wird dadurch praktisch verunmöglicht. Vorteilhaft ist im Bereich der Befestigung der Schlaufe am Handschuh eine Verstärkungszone, z.B. aus Leder, vorgesehen. Damit kann verhindert werden, dass die Schlaufe sich vom Handschuh losreissen kann. Eine zweckmässige Ausführungsform sieht vor, dass das eine Ende der Schlaufe am Handschuh unlösbar und das andere Ende z.B. durch einen Klettenverschluss lösbar befestigt ist. Dies erlaubt es, die Bewegungsfreiheit des Daumens individuell ohne Mithilfe von anderen Personen einzustellen. Wird der Daumenschutz nicht benötigt, so kann das Band z.B. mittels eines Klettenverschlusses satt, d.h. ohne Schlaufenbildung, an den Handschuh angelegt werden. Der Handschuh mit Daumengelenkschutz ist dann ein "gewöhnlicher" Handschuh, und der desaktivierte Daumengelenkschutz ist praktisch nicht mehr wahrnehmbar.
Nachfolgend wird ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung unter Bezugnahme auf die Figuren beschrieben. Es zeigt:

Der in den Figuren 1 und 2 dargestellte Handschuh 11 besitzt an der Handschuhinnenseite eine Schlaufe 13, welche an der Seitenwange hinter dem Zeigefinger und ungefähr in der Handschuhmitte befestigt ist. Die Schlaufe befindet sich also dort, wo das Zeige- und Mittelfingergrundgelenk zu liegen kommt, wenn die Hand in den Handschuh eingeschoben wird. Die Schlaufe 13 ist so bemessen, dass der Daumen mühelos in die Schlaufe 13 gesteckt und wieder herausgezogen werden kann. Der Daumen besitzt zweckmässigerweise noch eine gewisse Bewegungsfreiheit hat, wenn dieser in der Schlaufe sitzt, wobei eine Abduktion des Daumens, z.B. bei einem Sturz, durch die Schlaufe 13 verunmöglicht wird.
Die Schlaufe 13 kann durch ein elastisches oder ein nichtdehnbares Band 15 gebildet sein. Das Band 15 ist vorzugsweise seitlich hinter dem Zeigefinger und ungefähr in der Handschuhmitte festgenäht ist. Im gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel erstreckt sich das Band 15 über die ganze Handschuhinnenseite. Im Bereich, wo die Schlaufe am Handschuh 11 festgenäht ist, ist eine Verstärkungszone 17, z.B. aus Leder, vorgesehen, um ein Losreissen des Bandes 15 zu verhindern. Der Handschuh ist aus einem reissfesten Obermaterial hergestellt, welches an den Handschuhinnenflächen eine wasserunddurchlässige Beschichtung 19 aufweisen kann. Die Beschichtung besitzt eine rauhe Oberfläche, um den Handschuh griffiger zu machen.
Die Schlaufe 13 kann auch lediglich an einer Stelle am Handschuh 11, z.B. seitlich an der Seitenwange des Handschuhs beim Zeigefinger befestigt sein (nicht dargestellt). Wird ein elastisches Band 15 eingesetzt, so kann die Bewegungsfreiheit des Daumens etwas erhöht werden. Es ist auch denkbar, ein Band vorzusehen, das lediglich an einem Ende am Handschuh angenäht ist und um den Daumen gelegt wird, wenn ein Daumengelenkschutz erwünscht ist. Zu diesem Zweck kann das Band am losen Ende einen Klettenverschluss aufweisen. Eine derartige Ausführungsform hat den Vorteil, dass die Bewegungsfreiheit des Daumens individuell eingestellt werden kann.

Claims (7)

  1. Handschuh (11) mit Daumengelenkschutz, welcher durch eine am Handschuh (11) angeordnete Schlaufe (13) gebildet ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schlaufe einerseits seitlich ungefähr am Zeigefingeransatz und andererseits an der Handschuhinnenseite ungefähr im Bereich des Mittel-oder Ringfingers befestigt ist, wodurch der Daumengelenkschutz jederzeit aktivier- und desaktivierbar ist, indem der Daumen in die Schlaufe (15) gesteckt respektive wieder herausgezogen wird.
  2. Handschuh nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schlaufe (13) durch ein nicht dehnbares Band (15) gebildet ist.
  3. Handschuh nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schlaufe aus einem elastischen Band (15) gebildet ist.
  4. Handschuh nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Bereich der Befestigung der Schlaufe (13) am Handschuh (11) eine Verstärkungszone (17), z.B. aus Leder, vorgesehen ist.
  5. Handschuh nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das eine Ende der Schlaufe (13) am Handschuh unlösbar und das andere Ende lösbar befestigt ist.
  6. Handschuh nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das lösbare Ende der Schlaufe einen Klettenverschluss aufweist.
  7. Handschuh nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schlaufe (13) im Bereich des Zeigefingers an der Handschuhseite und im Bereich des Ringfingers an der Handschuhinnenseite befestigt ist.
