Abstract

Webs (107) form run-off slots (109) and are joined together by bridging sections. These bridging sections are arranged off centre and displaced towards first and second contact sections (105,106) so the run-off slots have different lengths, forming alternately arranged long and short slots. Two webs may form three slots, connected by two bridging sections which are arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal central axis of the channel. There are supports (115) on the underside of the webs, having a height greater than the contact section width.

Description

The invention relates to a cover grate for a surface drainage channel according to the preamble of claim 1 or 4.

A grating for a surface drainage device is already known from DE-B-1 272 241. The cover grate described there for a surface drainage device is said to have a large swallowing capacity, in that it is provided with knobs protruding beyond the surface. These knobs have the effect of baffle bars and destroy the kinetic energy of the incoming water, so that the swallowing capacity of the grating is increased. This measure is intended to improve the drainage performance in the case of overflowing water. In addition, the grip of the cover grate is to be increased by the knobs protruding upwards.

However, the covering grate described there only contains the necessary stability in that it is comparatively solid and thus heavy. Cover grilles of this type, which typically consist of cast iron, are extremely difficult to handle, for example when cleaning the surface drainage devices. Especially with drainage channels, long cover grids can lead to difficulties in handling.

Efforts have therefore been made for some time to use cover gratings which are more easily controlled.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a cover grate which has a high stability with a relatively low weight and which can also reliably absorb both area and point loads without the swallowing capacity being significantly impaired.

This object is solved by the features of claims 1 and / or 4.

As is apparent from the accompanying drawings, a cover 30 is attached to a gutter 1. The cover 30 has openings 31, 31 'which are separated from one another by ribs 37.

The longitudinal edges 32, 32 'of the cover 30 have hooking openings 39 on a longitudinal edge 32', which are only sunk into the surface of the cover 30, so that holding pieces 29 lie below the hooking openings. The channel 1 is equipped with hooking elements 13, which insert into the hooking openings 39 and thus come to rest on the holding pieces 29. At the other longitudinal edge 32, the cover 30 is provided with openings 39 'which pass through the entire cover 30, so that there are no holding pieces 29 on the other longitudinal edge 32.

In the embodiment shown in the figures, two recesses 31 spaced apart from one another are made in the cover 30 via a slot 33 up to the longitudinal edge 32. This slot 33 has at its end facing the edge 32 a holding recess 38 which is shaped such that a nose 26 fastened to the groove fits essentially in a form-fitting manner. This effectively prevents the cover 30 from moving in the longitudinal direction of the channel.

As shown in FIG. 2, the nose 26 has a free space above and below it.

The slot 33 or the associated opening 31 is provided with guide rails 36, 36 'which project inwards into the slot 33 or the opening 31. The rails 36, 36 'are equipped with notches 68.

In each of the openings 31 provided with slots 33, a bolt 60 is inserted, which has a double-T-shaped cross section and an upper cover plate 64, as described in the European main application P 93 119 304.9.

The height of the surface 70 of the cover plate 64 is somewhat less than that of the cover 30, so that no force acts on the bolt or its surface 70 when the cover is passed over. In addition, excellent knobs 117, 118 are provided on the cover 30 over its surface 34, which on the one hand increases the slip resistance and on the other hand reduces the load on the latch 60 when it is passed over.

The latch 60 is preferably made of high strength metal (e.g. die-cast aluminum) with its surface passivated to avoid corrosion.

As can be seen from FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the channel 1 is of identical or symmetrical design with respect to the lugs 26 on both sides. Accordingly, recesses 47 are provided on the longitudinal edge 32 'relative to the longitudinal edge 32, on which the bolts 60 are located, in which recesses 26 which are not required per se on the longitudinal edge 32' can be accommodated. In this way it is ensured that the cover 30 can be placed on the channel 1 in any orientation.

When putting on a cover 30 of a channel 1, the procedure is now that the cover 30 is first tilted and hooked under the hooking elements 13 with the holding pieces 29. Thereafter, the cover 30 is completely placed with the bars 60 pushed back (pushed to the right in FIG. 1). Then the latches 60 are closed (pushed to the left in FIG. 1). To open, proceed in the reverse order.

Accordingly, the cover grate 30 has a first and a second support section 105, 106 which are arranged laterally of the grating 30. They are spaced apart from one another and run parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the cover grate 30. The cover grate 30 lies with the support sections 105 and 106, as shown schematically in FIG.

The two support sections 105 and 106 are connected to one another by a plurality of webs 107 spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the cover grate 101. The spacing of the webs 107 forms inlet slots 109, which will be discussed later. On the underside of the webs 107 there are support sections 115 extending downward into the drainage channel, the height of which is greater than the thickness of the support sections 105, 106. The support sections 115 essentially extend in the specific embodiment according to FIGS. 6 and 7 from the area of a support section 105 to the area of the opposite support section 106 and reinforce the webs 107 in such a way that even with an extremely high load on individual webs 107 there is no need to fear breaking through the respective web 107 or damage to the cover grating 30.

Bridge sections 111 are provided between the webs 107, each connecting two adjacent webs 107 to one another. 4 and 6 are divided into two partial inlet slots by the bridge sections 111, the two partial inlet slots 109 having a different length due to the eccentric arrangement of the bridge sections 111. Seen in the longitudinal direction of the cover grating 30, the bridge sections 111 are alternately displaced in relation to the first and second support sections 105, 106 in such a way that longer and shorter inlet slots alternate.

In particular, in the present, specific embodiment according to FIGS. 4 to 7, the bridge sections are arranged in such a way that they alternate with their first and second Border sections 105, 106 facing edges essentially adjoin a line 113 in the longitudinal direction of the cover grate 30. This results in a meandering path that leads between the partial inlet slots and is composed of successive bridge sections 111 and webs 107.

This construction measure has proven to be extremely stabilizing, so that the present cover grille 30, which is reinforced by the special arrangement of the bridge sections 111, has a considerably higher stability than a conventional cover grate and can therefore withstand greater loads without the cover grate or individual webs being damaged become. At the same time, the drainage performance is improved in the event of excess water.

A number of knobs 117, 118 are arranged on the surface 103 of the grating 30 that can be walked on and driven over, as shown in FIGS. 4 to 7, which protrude upwards and increase the grip of the grating 30.

A distinction is made between two groups of knobs. The first knobs 117 are arranged in the regions of the support sections 105, 106, in such a way that an outer part of the knobs 121 projects over the support sections 105 and 106 and the other, inner part 119 projects over the respectively assigned webs 107. This can be seen particularly well in FIGS. 6 and 7. By means of these knobs 117, the transition areas between the support sections 105, 106 and the webs 107 are additionally reinforced, a gain in stability being achieved.

The second group of knobs 118 achieves the same effect in the areas in which the bridge sections 111 merge into the webs 107 (transition areas). As can be seen in particular from FIG. 4, the second knobs 118 are likewise arranged on the webs 107, specifically in alignment with the first knobs 117, the inner knob part being arranged in a transition region from at least one bridge section 111 and the other knob part just does not overlap the transition area. In this way, the transition area between bridge sections 111 and webs 107 is strengthened.

It is clear that the aforementioned reinforcement measures, namely the corresponding positioning of the knobs and the arrangement of staggered bridge sections, can be provided both separately and in combination.

Each of these measures, by means of the gain in stability for the covering grate which they achieve, makes it possible, for example, for the support sections 115 to be made narrower, which results in a saving in material and thus a reduction in the production costs. Moreover, there is no risk of damage or damage to individual webs, even due to excessive loading, in the case of the aforementioned cover grids.

According to FIG. 8, a second embodiment of a cover grate is specified, which is used in particular for wider designs.

In this embodiment as well, the cover grille 101 has, analogous to the first embodiment, first and second support sections 105, 106 and webs 107 connecting them and spaced apart in the longitudinal direction.

The difference to the first embodiment results from the fact that two adjacent webs 107 are no longer connected by only one bridge section 111, but by two bridge sections 111. As a result, each inlet slot 109 is divided into three partial inlet slots.

By arranging two bridge sections 111 each for connecting two adjacent webs 107, two meandering lines are formed which wind through the partial inlet slots in the longitudinal direction of the cover grate 30. The The two meandering lines run essentially parallel to one another and are mirror images of one another with respect to a center line of symmetry A.

The bridge sections 111 belonging to a meandering line are arranged with respect to one another like the bridge sections of the first embodiment. In particular, they alternately essentially adjoin a line 113 with their edges facing the first and the second support sections 105, 106.

The bridge sections 111 assigned to the other meandering line are arranged analogously to one another.
