Description

The invention relates to a metal frame for drainage channels with two downward, parallel and spaced legs that form a channel between them, into which the material is molded in the upper region of the channel wall and which are connected to one another via a web whose top forms a support surface for a channel cover and with a leg extending upwards from the web for lateral support of the channel cover.

A drainage channel is known, in which holding parts are arranged on the upper edges, which also rest on a side wall surface of the relevant edge in addition to the upper side (DE-C-1 955 737). Such holding parts serve at the same time to protect the edge of the drainage channel and as a support for the cover, for example a channel grate. In the known drainage channel, the holding part is subsequently attached, for example by screwing to the outer side surface of the wall of the channel body. Drainage gutter on the one hand and tether on the other hand are manufactured as individual parts in the known construction, so that an additional assembly at the construction site is necessary.

It is also known to provide frames for drainage channels with anchoring profiles that are molded into the channel body. In connection with drainage channels made of polyester concrete and also from DE-U-7 122 579, the frame construction described at the beginning has become known. The channel formed between the legs pointing downward is similar in cross-section to a dovetail profile, so that an effective anchoring of the frame with the channel leg is ensured by the polyester concrete cast into the channel.

The forces acting on the channel cover, which arise from frequent and rapid running over, sometimes with large wheel loads, are particularly critical. The very complex load case that occurs includes simultaneous stresses from changing tensile and compressive forces, bending forces and shear forces. The teeth between the frame and the channel body provide a firm connection between these two parts, but on the other hand the cross-section of the channel wall is reduced in the critical area (notch effect).

The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a frame made of metal for drainage channels, which can be integrated with the drainage channel, but ensures the absorption of high alternating tensile and compressive forces, bending forces and shear forces.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a frame mentioned at the outset in that both lower legs are provided on the underside with a plurality of recesses which allow projections to stand between them and the recesses and projections of a lower leg each at least partially and at least to those of the other lower leg are arranged approximately on gap.

In the gutter according to the invention, the outer sides of the lower legs are flush with the associated sides of the gutter walls, and the channel formed between the lower legs is filled with the material of the gutter body, for example polyester concrete. In this respect, however, the construction according to the invention does not go beyond the prior art. It is essential to the invention that the underside of the lower legs does not run exactly horizontally, but ascends and descends through the molded-in recesses, one recess of a lower leg opposite a projection of the other lower leg. The transitions between the projection and the recess are preferably continuous, for example in the form of waves, in order to avoid sharp points of attack on the material of the channel body.

The inventive design of the channel frame ensures an optimal introduction of the horizontal forces acting on the frame into the channel body, to the extent that the cross-section of the channel wall that opposes the forces is enlarged and no smooth fracture surface can arise, as is the case with the known anchoring of the channel frames.

According to one embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the length of the recesses is approximately the distance between the projections. In this way it can be ensured that projections and recesses of opposing lower legs are arranged exactly on the gap.

According to a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the legs have openings in the area of the recesses and / or the projections. The gutter material, for example polyester concrete, can enter the openings when the gutter is being formed and ensure particularly effective anchoring of the frame on the gutter wall.

It is understood that the openings in the area of the projections can be larger than in the area of the recesses.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the lower legs have notches at the ends in the lower region.

Another embodiment of the invention provides that the support web has a section of greater thickness in an end region and a locking recess open to the inside of the groove is formed in the section. The locking recess serves to receive a pivotable bolt attached to the cover, which can be pivoted into the recess, for example by means of a screw, to fix the cover.

In order to further reduce the notch forces, an embodiment of the invention finally provides that all edges facing the channel material are rounded.

A frame 10 made of metal, for example cast steel, has half the length of a drainage channel 11 (FIG. 7). It has two legs 12, 13 pointing downwards, which are integrally formed on a web 14 in parallel and at a distance from one another. The web has a bearing surface 15 for a channel grate, not shown. In the same plane as the leg 13, an upwardly projecting leg 16 is formed on the top of the web 14, which gives lateral support to the channel grate.

As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the side walls 12, 13 have notches 17 at the ends and in the lower region. They ensure free space when adjacent drainage channels fit together using a tongue and groove system. With a length of a drainage channel of 1000 mm, four frames of the same type can be used. This simplifies the stocking of frames (unit length). Otherwise, the side walls 12, 13 are shaped such that projections 18 and recesses 19 alternate with one another when viewed in the longitudinal direction, the transition between projection 18 and recess 19 taking place via a wavy line 20. In Fi g. 1, the course of the underside of the rear leg 13 pointing downward is indicated by dashed lines, insofar as it is covered by the leg 12. Openings or openings 21 are formed in the area of the recesses 19. Openings or openings 22 are formed in the area of the projections 18 and form a larger passage area in accordance with the larger leg area.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, the web 14 has depressions 23 at the ends, which are formed in a reinforced section of the web 14 and receive correspondingly shaped projections of the channel grate in order to secure them against longitudinal displacement, in the region of the depression 23 am Right end in Fig. 1, the leg 12 has an opening 24. In the left area, the web 14 is formed as a section of greater thickness. On the side facing away from the upper leg 16, an elongated horizontal recess 25 is formed laterally in this section (see FIGS. 1, 3 and 6). Connected to a channel wall, the recess 25 points toward the interior of the channel. It serves to accommodate a pivotable bolt of the channel cover, not shown. The recess is connected to the opposite side of the frame 10 via a threaded bore 26. It is used to hold a threaded screw with which a concrete anchor can be connected. In this way, the frame and channel body can be additionally anchored when installed in in-situ concrete.

From Fig. 7 it can be seen how the frame 10 is integrated with the walls 26a, 27 of a channel body 11 made of polyester concrete. It can be seen that the outer sides of the lower legs 12, 13 and the upper leg 16 are flush with the facing sides of the walls 26a, 27. It can also be seen that the channel material is molded into the channel formed between the lower legs 12, 13 and has also entered the openings 21, 22. FIG. 7 also shows the anchoring of the frame 10 which is particularly advantageous with regard to the force absorption.

In particular from FIGS. 4 to 7 it can be clearly seen that the frame 10 has pronounced roundings on all edges which face the channel material.
